I sang this thing every day while my ex-wife and I were crashing and burning. It took a long time to stop loving the painfulness. I don't recommend wallowing in misery as a therapeutic aid to recovering from a failed relationship, but it is available.
The Beatles' "Revolver" album turns 54 years old this week. The 5th of August in the UK and August 8th in the States (with a nod to dating styles there). This was yet another flawless effort from the lads and was a perfect setup for their next outing, "Sgt Peppers". There are lots of songs about breakups and about the aftermath of a split. This is unusual in that is deals with the slightly earlier period of a relationship when the impending end is first realized as inevitable. That sinking feeling of being caught in the current that is too strong to fight. Then song ends abruptly....
El cover es exCelente y gracias por subirlo pero te quiero aclarar que Rickie Lee Jones no es la hermana de Tommy Lee Jones. No hay parentesco entre ellos, nada que ver. Saludos!
@@joannekrueger8609 She's incredible. Saw her last sunday for the first time live at a Jazz Festival in France (Enghien Jazz Festival ). I had the occasion to talk with her a little bit the afternoon before the show. She's very humble and authentic, no ego. These are the characteristics of artists with extraordinary talent: simplicity and compassion. I have all the records she did. She's an american musical treasure.
This must be one of the greatest ever Beatles covers. She inhabits it so completely.
+Brendan Barry ...RLJ covering the Beatles...i'm in heaven...
Great song by Paul Mac

Always strange to learn that this raw beauty was rarely covered. Rickie Lee does it with deserved intense, extremely well done
How true these words. The greatest song written about love’s illusions ….
God I love Rickie's voice. She is always incredible!

What!!?? What are you smoking? Have you listened to the Beatles version lately? Didn't think so.
Paul could have written this just for her.
"Likes are likes" say an granmama ór oldwoman when she eat your own mucus ...
Still like The Beatles original better.
Oh shut up
Still a wonderful version though.wow
People who say better than the original on cover songs need to be punched in the face. Good cover though.
chill out, kid
The Coronas don't seem to be getting the job done... Wait, stike that, maybe they are.
Of course people can do better on covers silly boy. Rare but it happens.
Not so much. Tempo is too slow. The performance is somewhat cutesy. It doesn’t sing in places, but shouting.
