Thanks for the share. Hey, negative commenters, give Rickie a break. She's doing good. Got a little of that New Orleans flair. Would have liked to have been there. Smooth sailing to her - take care.

Can't see or hear her, without thinking of Tom Waits❤☘️

Loved her early music. Flying Cowboys was one of the greatest albums of all time (Walkin Satellites!). Was very excited to finally see her in person at the Landmark Theater in Port Washington - crushingly disappointing. She seemed to disdain the audience, as though we were rotting fish, stench to be escaped. No connection, no encore. We were ready to love her and she trashed us. Once again proving the maxim, don't conflate the art with the artist.

She left a show in Buffalo NY,in tears, back in the day. Someone called to her"Hey, where's Tom?"😂

Must have been a bad bad night for Rickie. We saw her in SF at the Cafe du Nord a few years ago. She played for like 5 nights in a row, ending the series with a West Side Story homage (not the show we saw, but I wish I had a recording of that). It was one of the most memorable nights of live music I've ever experienced. So intimate. So warm and soulful. She was in great form, and love was in the air, a great energy between Rickie and her fans. What you had was not the Rickie I know. Sorry you missed out.

Always thought of her as marginally talented. You could make a catalogue of all her songs played together and not know where one ended and the other began. Sorry for her fans.

Hmm. If you played even a few bars of any Rickie Lee song, I could probably tell you with precision which one it was. No, I don't think you know her catalog at all. No need to feel sorry for me. She's been at the top of my singer-songwriter list since 1979.

Maybe she is emotionally damaged. She owes her fans nothing beyond putting on a good show when they have paid to see her. In my experience, she failed to fulfill that contract with her audience.

Yes, perhaps a bit. They're actually quite easy to tell apart. One has a great deal of musical talent, and the other has . . . well . . . something else.

Welcome to the sardine can! It was great the first few years. Then the masses ruined it, as usual.
