The car you're driving has 139 HP, not 169 HP. Only the 2023 and newer Corolla LE has 169 HP. I can tell you have a 2022 or older Corolla LE/

Thanks for the comment! You are absolutely correct. Starting from 2023, they nixed the 1.8L and replaced it with the 2.0L giving 169hp.

You might want to know your facts before you review a Corolla. You have been wrong on so many issues. Probably the most inaccurate review I’ve seen yet.

I am assuming you are reviewing a new 2024 Toyota Corolla LE only because why would anyone review the new features and demonstrate the ride quality of an older car that’s been out for a few years? We would know that by now. That being said, I seem to have a different opinion on a few things and that’s OK. We all have them. It’s got more than enough power to get out of its own way. Actually, the Toyota 2.0 Liter engine (Standard) at 169 HP is 11 HP more than Honda’s Civic engine at 158HP. Now if you’re talking about the 1.8 Liter Toyota engine they no longer use in new Corolla’s that’s a different story. I agree the 1.8 Liter is a bit sluggish. Corolla has upgraded to 2.0 Liter as standard now and it makes a huge difference. As for interior quietness going down the road it’s not as good as it should be. Not super annoying but mid range at best. They need to quiet the road noise down a bit. Those are two good points people might want to consider when buying. There a few more but those are two off the top of my head without watching the video again. Overall though the new 2024 Toyota Corolla is over the top with quality and standard features for what you pay for. You have to remember this is the ENTRY level and with these kind of standard features is quite remarkable. Anyone searching for a reliable and low cost car that will easily go 300,000 miles or more if you take care of it this is it. Without question the biggest bang for your buck. I’ve been researching new cars extensively for three now and no one comes close to the Corolla for what you get. So I went out and bought one! Haaaaa! A new 2024 Corolla LE. Best dollar I’ve ever spent.

Thanks for the response. This is actually a 2021 corolla that I reviewed. Don’t currently have access to a 2024 but hopefully in the near future. My whole idea was to showcase what a Corolla brings to its consumers. I’m glad they made the 2.0L engine standard for the 2023 and above. I agree that this is one of the most reliable budget vehicles. I would still suggest the SE trim as it gives a much sportier look plus a few more nice features ie. suspension, leather steering wheel, 8” touchscreen, LED headlights etc. Congrats on your purchase and I hope you enjoy your efficient vehicle.
