Hi from a fellow Rhodesian! I have just caught up with your channel. Your voyage has been on my bucket list for decades. As is your wonderful Nordhavn! Cheers and happy voyaging. George.
George, thanks for the message. We have been taking a break but are getting ready to come back.
Once again, another amazing video. You both are absolutely amazing people. We sit here and we’re just amazed by your journeys and thank you for all the technical part of the journey with the Fuel miles per gallon and range. Awesome wahoo!!!
Great, informative vid.
Safe sailing! Enjoy you're voyage (we all are, watching you're adventures 😀)
glad you enjoy it
WOW ! What an adventure. Thanks for letting us ride along with you.
Our pleasure!
Great Video. Excellent economy and weather. Glad to see you get good quality fuel in the Galapagos.
Thank you. We were lucky with the weather for sure. We docked at the main govt dock for fuel so it's good fuel (supplies the island). The sailboats buy from a gas station, and it comes out in 55 gallon drums and is pumped on board... you have no quality control on the drums in that situation.
This is terrible economy
My boat gets 5mpg at 7 knots and it's fully capable of crossing any ocean comfortably
@ how do you figure “terrible economy” ?
@@joshlower1 what boat is that? Sounds like a sailboat. This is good economy for a trawler
Fantastic video filled with useful information. Glad to know you've made it safely across!
Thanks
That’s amazing! Thank you for documenting your travels. I’m glad you guys made it safely. Nordhavn once again completing a transoceanic crossing! My wife and I hope to do this someday!
Thanks for watching!
Fantasic achievement, you guys. All the best from the Isle of Man.
many thanks
Not many yachts can say they get anywhere close to that fuel economy. Well done on this video 🍻
thanks
Actually most can say they get much better.
Great video! Thank you
thank you

Its a pleasure

Fantastic trip! Question - where do you store the empty fuel bladders.
They are stored in a deck locker next to pilot house.
Wondering why you stopped posting, love your channel
@@hhazelhoff1363 we are coming back. We stopped cruising for awhile with some bad back issues. But I am much better now.
@ great, happy 2025, see you soon
I have no idea if this is a good plan but the engineer in me would want to give the engine a half-hour blast every second day on a long passage. What are your thoughts on that?
Those fuel bladers look the business, especially if you intend to explore even more remote areas than you have, where fuel may be scarce or difficult to access with your yacht.
Good point, we did actually give the engine a blast for 30mins to an hour every couple of days, should have mentioned that.
The bladders are heavy duty, but expensive, but I figure we will get some of that back at the end. Also very useful for remote places.
Great to see. Thanks. Are you using starlink to upload?

Hello from Sweden why have you put up the boat for sale?
We are coming back
Its 2025 tgeres no excuse to own such a fuel inefficient vessel.
This is a very efficient diesel vessel. I am not sure I understand your protest. Do you own a vessel?
It’s not that bad, it’s about 2 miles per gallon based on the numbers from Instagram. Not much worse what the average semi truck when loaded🤷🏽♂️
