This was my dad's favourite song. He used to play it on repeat during our long trips and he used to be so nostalgic. Now that I'm older I think I can understand him. He came from Albania to Italy when he was only 18 years old to escape, for a new future? ...I still don't know, but it was hard for him. I can't really imagine what can mean taking a boat full of people and to not eat and drink for days. And he's not the type of person who complains. He also went to the hospital a lot of times because of some serious problems and no one was here with him. In fact, no one really cared. Now I imagine him all alone, enduring a lot of things and listening to this song. My dad can be really sensitive, so maybe at those times he would even cry. I understand you now Dad.

I'm here, listening to this song with tears in my eyes. I have been working far away from my family for over two years now, and I had a surgery two weeks. While in the theatre, my body couldn't stand the Ketamine which was supposed to make me sleep and for some reasons, I had an out of body experience in the theatre, saw my levitating in the air outside of my own body. Several hours after I was rolled into a ward, I regained consciousness but felt so all alone. That night was long for me. I missed my family even more and what kept ringing in my head was 'Home'. I'm listening to this, wondering how I have spent these years staying away from those I love. Thank you, Michael. I find solace in this song as it means a lot to me.

We played this at our dad’s funeral, it was so beautiful and true-we lost our mom 5 years before that and couldn’t believe it. We were too young to have this happen (I had just served in the military-I was able to get back to the east coast on my birthday and one month later my mom was gone). My dad tried so hard to move forward as best he could but in the end, I think he just wanted to see mom again. I thought I’d be brave enough to hear this song now without crying but that’s not the case-apologies for rambling, thank you for this song and though I don’t believe I can ever hear it again without tears, it reminds me my parents are at peace when I’m feeling alone and missing them more than I care to express. This song is very nostalgic for me, my mom always plays this when I was a kid but I've never asked her the title. For me it took 6 years to find this special song that kept playing in my mind and heart, I told myself that if someone helps me find this song they will be the most special person for me but I found it on my own and I realized that maybe this is the start of taking care of myself or loving myself (I'm a depressed person btw and thanks to this song, it's keeps me alive and feel loved)

We played this at our dad’s funeral, it was so beautiful and true-we lost our mom 5 years before that and couldn’t believe it. We were too young to have this happen (I had just served in the military-I was able to get back to the east coast on my birthday and one month later my mom was gone). My dad tried so hard to move forward as best he could but in the end, I think he just wanted to see mom again. I thought I’d be brave enough to hear this song now without crying but that’s not the case-apologies for rambling, thank you for this song and though I don’t believe I can ever hear it again without tears, it reminds me my parents are at peace when I’m feeling alone and missing them more than I care to express. Be well

Oh, this song. This song makes me think so much about my beloved husband. I lost him when he was just 25 years old and our baby girl was not quite 2 years old. It has been many years since his passing, 27 long, agonizing years. He was my soulmate... he was the very breath in my lungs, the warmth in my heart, the joy in my smile, the sparkle in my eyes ... HE WAS MY HOME ❤️ and since losing him, GOD KNOWS I have missed him every single day of my life.
I can not wait until the day comes when I am reunited with him and my heart is finally, truly HOME again! ❤️

His Father definitely can but it's not time for miraculous healing. Anyone telling you yes, they are lying. That's why we pray in the Lord's Pray or Our Father prayer at Matthew 6:33 for God's Kingdom and that his will be done on EARTH as it is in heaven. Heaven has no problems. It's the earth that is riddled with a multitude of problems. People don't need to hear they have to put faith in God when they don't even know how to begin to do so. Faith in God is learned not innate. It needs to be cultivated like a farmer cultivates his garden.

This song is very nostalgic for me, my mom always plays this when I was a kid but I've never asked her the title. For me it took 6 years to find this special song that kept playing in my mind and heart, I told myself that if someone helps me find this song they will be the most special person for me but I found it on my own and I realized that maybe this is the start of taking care of myself or loving myself (I'm a depressed person btw and thanks to this song, it's keeps me alive and feel loved)

@@jasphermomo5465 Thank you, the truth is you're the first person here in comments that didn't judge me about dealing with depression. Mostly people say "Stop being sad you idiot, be positive!" I'm trying but you don't know telling me that can never magicly cure depression.
Anyway thank you for that reply, I'm really doing well right now but sometimes the feel of being depressed or anxious at the same time attacks me. ( I'm being honest here, sometimes sharing stuff like this in comments/internet is scary because most people are being so judgementals).

Umm after I ask that, I immediately search it on Google if there's medicine...and there is a drug/medicine that can help. And I think helping yourself or getting help by someone can really cure depression.
