I use to use vaseline on everything as a kid and it works wonders as a moisturizer. So I wanted to give it a try again as an adult. I hope you all enjoy today's video and give me a huge thumbs up! Granny never lied. Petroleum jelly is one of things that I have in the bathroom cabinet, under the kitchen sink, in the tool box, in the glove compartment...everywhere! It’s an all purpose product!
grease and vaseline always makes my curls pop the most. i love old school ways of keeping my hair healthy. vaseline can also be used to spot treat breakouts yall !

Eva Maf after your nightly skin routine, apply a small amount to any breakouts that you want to spot treat & sleep in it. the breakout should either clear up some or completely go away depending on the severity of the breakout. i hope this helps !

@@ellenphillips213a group of chemists and scientists done a comedogenic test on Vaseline and mineral oils . And it has a zero comedogenic rating which means it will not clog your pores. Now if it has a comedogenic of 2 or 3 that means it is possible but not likely so it's still safe depending on if you are prone to break outs. But if it has a comedogenic rating of 5 and higher then it will definitely clog your pores.

RoyalRoxanne you could try using both. I mix my own oil mixture with my grease and it makes an amazing sealant. My twist are soft and moisturized for up to 4 days.
Who came up with all these natural hair rules what the big natural hair companies they want to take all your money cuz if I'm not mistaken outr hair was more healthier and longer back in the day and we didn't have all these big hair companies do not come for me just my opinion

Yup, that's a throwback classic. Mom always used Vaseline or V05 in my hair. I still use it particularly of I even straighten it, first day it's a bit clumped, but second day it's nice and smooth flowing, helps protect straightened hair from humidity and I think my hair from the heat damage some too. For the ppl asking how to wash it out. Personally for me with curly hair it tends to kinda soak in after a day or two and work itself to essentially not very obvious, but I always washed with at least a clarifying shampoo. But if you try it right away it may not work as well. Give it a couple of days to work itself into your hair or whatever naturally before trying to wash it out. But if you need it out immediately, I guess someone used dish soap probably dawn, safe on birds commercials will be forever imprinted in my brain, lol. My hair doesn't get like oily, just dry over days, people with straight hair tend to get oily scalps from my experience, relatives, friends, etc. And if that's the case vaseline might not be easy to remove.

Petroleum jelly was the staple product back in the day. My mother used if on me and my siblings hair for everything and I had long healthy hair.
my granny used it for everything. especially her HAIR and mine. I have to say before box perms became a trend I got my hair pressed every two weeks and petroleum jelly , blue magic, ultra sheen was the go to hair grease. your hair looked great....very soft

My mom and aunt recently told me that they used Vaseline and Afro Sheen to grow and style their huge afros back in the early 70s. They said this was all they had. My hair is 3c/4a and very coily. It works so well for my hair. Better than the new products I have. They kept this secret from me for too long 😂❤

I use vaseline and coconut oil as a Pre poo. Leave in for 20 min on dry hair then wash, rinse, repeat. Coco oil penetrates the hair shaft and vaseline locks it in.
What is your hair type? I notice a big similarity to my hair and I am still trying to work out if I am type 3c, 4a, 4b . I am still confused
As a fragrance sensitive person I was forced to stop using petroleum jelly because I could not tolerate the extremely slight scent. But I thank God I can now tolerate it because my hair had become so brittle and broke terribly not being able to use most hair products. Just using my own petroleum based grease my hair for a month my roots have already starting to thicken. I can go from wash day to wash day without having to re-moisturize.

I bleached and dyed my hair and didnt have a oil so i used vaseline and my hair looked sooo good i didnt know it was the vaseline until i didnt use it the next time i styled my hair. My curles popped
My daughter hair was not growing, so the spirit told me to get some Sulfur 8, I never used Sulfur 8 before but I was listening so it's the one with the red and yellow label, well I tell you after a month of using it my daughter hair is really growing, where she had some bald spots from using another product from a TH-camr I used on her hair, now she have 3 in of hair growth no more bald spots, sometime we just have to go back to the basic.

Hi! You can’t use too much Vaseline on hair because it will be harder to get out. But you can buy a clarifying shampoo like the one Cantu makes. Wash at least two times. Never ever use dishwashing product in your hair it will strip you of your natural oils.

when i was a teen i used to put origional vaseline all over my hair just a little to where hair was saturated and wet itwith little but of water do 2 braids and slept on it.the next day beautiful hair & yes made my hair grow fast.thats what the people from india does only they put oil on their scalp and hair.like coconut oil or some other oil.the women there have long gorgeous hair.because they also keep their hair braided at times

Petroleum jelly always leaves my hair feeling dry about a day or so after application. Just because my mother used those products when I was a kid doesn’t mean I should go back to that now. 😂

I never cared for Vaseline or any kind of petroleum jelly. Made my hair too heavy & my skin & hair too oily. The Vaseline ad TH-cam keeps showing is inaccurate. Near the end, the woman with that beautiful black and white scarf on her head says, "Everybody needs Vaseline." That is simply not true!!!
