Love your work! I also can't believe I hold the yarn the same way you do! I've seen others wrap it around their finger and release it as they crochet. To me it flows better holding it they way we do.

Can you use other yarn instead of the flat yarn? And if so, what would you suggest? I did do the bag in the flat yarn and it turned out beautiful! I just wanted to try it in regular yarn but not sure which would be good to use? Thank you so much!
hi! Yes i've seen some people use regular yarn and it looks super cute. You can use a bulky that matches gauge or you can hold a thinner yarn double stranded. I would just use a sturdy cotton or cotton blend!

I bought your pattern but the tote your caring in the picture looks to be a bigger tote. do I need to add extra stitched on the sides and on the bottom to make a bigger tote??
Hi! The tote in the photos is made exactly as the pattern is written. If you want it even bigger you could add more rows above/below the daisies. If you wanted it wider you could add more stitches but it would alter the counts and rows of the pattern so you would have to keep that in mind.

no but if you use a worsted weight yarn it will come out smaller!

Yes/no I personally made 3 small balls of white & yellow and only carried through each independent daisy. But carry the main colour through all. Makes bag thicker & tuffer

Can you block this yarn?
I use double strands of this yarn for a granny square bag and I blocked the granny squares. I liked that they all looked the same size.
