Meet and greets do seem really hard work, obviously there's much harder jobs in the world but it's emotionally hard work to put so much energy and enthusiasm into meeting so many people in such a short amount of time. Massive respect for anybody who gives it their all and makes it a positive experience for everybody they meet.
as someone a few years younger than you it's so nice to see you not having your life completely together and talking about being unorganized and stresses out. makes me think that i can still so amazing shit in the future if you are able to do so as well. so thank you, i love these videos.
While I tend to be an organized person, and need to be to function, this is what I do to keep myself sane/productive: walk every morning with the goal to just listen to a podcast and write anything that I am inspired by/on my mind. This gets me energized and ready for the day. But, also my problem is doing the hard, not so fun stuff, which I have called on my new's resolutions is "Getting the shit done" I like it and hopefully it will be successful!
Lucy Moon I don't know how close they are cos I've never compared them myself but that's the word on the street - it's a gorg colour in its own right anyway
I love this video so much because it feels like a podcast in the way that you can just do normal house stuff and hw but also listen to your wonderful voice while you're at it ( and it feels like a conversation )
On the meet and greet topic: I got the chance to meet you at Vidcon in 2016, and you and Chai were an absolute joy. Thank you so much for your encouragement that day! I can't imagine how exhausting all of that is but I really appreciate how much effort you put into meeting your subscribers
I'm loving VEDJ so far !! Chatty videos like this are so comforting to watch and if you're enjoying filming videos everyday, then I'm pumped to watch them
don't feel stressed about making videos everyday. we will understand no matter what, deal with things more important!! it's ok!! and easier videos, whether it's in a car or whatever, might make it better. ily xxx
really like these chatty grwm videos really interactive n nice. I think it'd be cool if u did a video about styling for like shortish mid length hair styling BC u have cool hair
What you said about how meet and greets are tiring because you're trying to give the best version of yourself all the time...well that's how I feel all the time because I'm constantly trying to give my best self to everyone I meet and perhaps maybe that's why when I finally get to be alone I can just relax and perhaps that's where introversion comes from?
Great video. However, I'm slightly disappointed it wasn't about you chasing David Cameron somewhere in London. Don't know why my mind jumped there, but yeah, I came here with high hopes :D
I used to be so unorganized, but a friend of my started studying to become an occupational therapist. It wasn't until then that I realized what they could actually help you with. I got so much better from seing one. It's a bit like seing a tharapist - but more task based. You get homework for things to consider or work on. Then you talk them through to together. Things that are difficult for you, why are they difficult for you, is there a way to make them simpler, etc. I'd recommend looking into it!
I'm so behind on watching my TH-cam subscriptions, so sometimes I just want to marathon one youtuber, and you uploading everyday makes that easy! Thanks Luc!
These videos are sooooooo goooood. There is something very chill about them yet still so interesting. I can sit down with a cup of tea and relax when watching these yet they still aren't those boring type of chatty videos. I love it x
In terms of make up recommendations, I love the E.L.F Matte Lip Pencils, they are horrendously inexpensive (depending on where you buy from, $6-$8) but so high quality, Natural and Praline are my actual favourites. And the brand is cruelty-free!
lucy, just want to let you know that if this video everyday is really stressing you out and holding you back in any negative ways, please don't feel like it's like the worst thing in the world if you miss a day :) also i'm really enjoying veg btw, it's lovely to have a new video of lovely you everyday :)
I imagine you know about bullet journalling already but as a fellow disorganised-by-nature person I've found it super helpful (and a really nice creative outlet) so would highly recommend :)
Susanna O'Brien ooh, Bullet Journal... I just had a look to see if it'd work for me, and the system is a neat idea. I think it seems to work in three parts: 1) Notation - the • X < > ○ symbols and keeping things short, personal and objective (efficiency) 2) index, and 6 month, month, daily plans (tracking/goal setting) 3) *migration - getting rid of stuff and distilling to what's important.* I feel that last one is absolutely key to its success. I can make things as efficient as I like and track as many goals as I like, but my new found free time that came from the efficiency is just going to fill up with more 'important work'. And then I'm back to square one with "I'm too busy!" and "I can't cope with this workload!" I also find it by no means easy to do the distilling part. I _still_ have trouble (after all these years, even without the help of bullet) with letting go of things I feel I should do, and accept that I can take time on a whim that will definitely be unproductive, because I need that 'slack' to be creative. So thank you (and everyone else who suggested it) for sharing about the bullet journal, I think that system or one like it would really help if I can master the migration side and just let go :)
Been looking through your old videos today, I really like these talks! Can relate a lot to the part about struggling with self-control when being your own boss...
I am just loving having videos every day to look forward to from you. Always wonderful accompaniments to my cups of tea. I hope you're enjoying making them as well!
I'm an ENFP as well! That makes me quite happy because I've always thought you seem like a cool person and it's interesting to me that we're the same personality type.
chasing cameron vs this is us: perhaps it shows where media is going. young people like to watch youtubers now rather than tv reality shows. i feel like youtubers are much more honest (though still not entirely and it depends which you're talking about it) than traditional media stars. so perhaps that's why they showed these viners (?) being very imperfect. perhaps people don't want to see perfection in celebrities anymore- they want to see themselves.
Adding to Originelle's thoughts, I think the way social media stars need to present themselves is different than the way traditional media stars do. TH-camrs, Viners and whatnot bank on the fact that they're relatable to get subscribers. Like you said, we see themselves in them, which is why they usually choose to present themselves as inherently flawed humans, "just like us"! However, as older media, film and music have usually been used as a fantasy escape, which is why traditional media stars use documentaries to build their human side and try to relate, *without* showing the bad side. They are simply perfect angels. I'm sorry for the huge response, I now realise I have no concluding statement.
ehhh i'm still technically under 30 so i'll consider myself young. i watch youtube for real people. i watch tv for acting and stories. i have zero interest in watching youtubers on tv or buying their books or any of that.
Emma Popcorn that's a very intelligent statement but if you love the artist/famous person then you see more than everyone and the media sees. You see they are actually normal people and I'm only speaking about one direction bc I'm a fan of them so I know, but you know that they are being genuine and do everything for the fans. Not hating on your comment, just giving my opinion❤
I'm ENFP too, but pretty borderline I/E, and deeefinitely feel the tension with self-motivation/-discipline. Have you watched About Time, by the way? Possibly my favourite rom com ever - doesn't always do the obvious thing, but not an ounce of cynicism in it. Really excellent. Keep making these chatty GRWM videos please, they're joyous!
I'm also a 9 on the Enneagram test! When I first learned about the test a couple of months ago, I was very interested in it because it's not like any personality test I've seen before. I learned/realized a LOT about myself because of it.
Step one: get yourself a journal/calendar. Step two: make a to do list for the day, and one for the week. Step three: At the end of the to do lists, write down smth you are treating yourself with. Step four: put on your absolutely favourite outfit. Step five: start working off your to do lists. thats how i do it.
Hello Lucy! We met in London a couple of years ago at a museum. I wasn't aware that you had a TH-cam channel at the time. We had a very nice chat about both studying history and enjoying TH-cam videos, and you gave me the link to your channel, which I've followed ever since. This was a couple of years ago so you probably don't remember it, that's ok :) I'm glad to have seen you grow, and it makes me feel like I've gotten to know you so much better. It's a very strange feeling haha I'm always very surprised at how many commonalities we share. ENFJ represent! Have a very nice evening :)
I've never been happier to discover another TH-camr. Honestly, never related to one more! I'm the same personality type as you, haven't done the enigma test but going to try that now. Loving this video everyday from you, seriously so good! Please post more about your growth and how you're bettering yourself because that's what I've been trying to do recently. Bad break up caused me to reflect and made me realise quite a few things need change, but hopefully getting there!
I'm a 2 on the enneagram! I'm a resident assistant at my University and they drill all of the personalities into our trainings so we are able to understand how all personalities react in particular situations.
you should take gallup polls' strengths quest! it points out your top five strengths and emphasizes that working on your strengths is better than dwelling on your weaknesses. not sure about that bit, but it's fun knowing what you're best at. mine are: individualization, ideation, WOO, strategy, and positivity
If you are disorganized, you might want to look into the bullet journal. I am a mess and this method really helps, it's simple and really helps with productivity :)
Lucy, get a Panda Planner! It's a planner/diary that helps you be more happy and productive. At first I thought it was bs but it actually has helped me have a more positive outlook on life. On your daily plan, you plan out your day and you also have to write down what you're grateful for and excited about. Then, at the end of the day, you reflect back and think about what went well and what you can do better tomorrow. I will say that i's no necessarily the best for planning out your week or month (I use google calendar for that), but it's 11/10 for daily planning. I really hope you see this, because my panda planner has genuinely helped me. (you prob wont tho but, it would be lovely if people could comment on this to get it up near the top so Lucy has a better chance of seeing this!) Sending love from Hawaii!! xx
when you said about the sleep thing, I have been struggling with that for awhile but i have been having CBT for the past few months and my therapist got me to do a sleep diary for 2 weeks to see patterns emerging and where I would find myself falling back asleep i have now started planning to do things during that time frame, such as just going for a walk and that has since really helped me in getting my sleeping pattern sorted out. It might not work for you but it could be worth a try
I really love this talks. It's really interesting seeing how your perspective on certain things regarding youtube have changed since your channel changed too. I'd love to hear more thoughts similar to the ones you shared on here since it's such an interesting topic. I'm enjoying VEDJ so much, your videos are amazing and being able to watch a new one every single day just makes the days better :)
I am VERY disorganized myself and I share the struggle you just described! So this year I decided to give Bullet Journaling a go. At first when I looked into it it seemed quite daunting but when you get down to it it's actually kinda simple, and I feel like it gives you space to be creative so I think you should try looking into it and maybe it might help.
you should try to smashbox matte liquid lipsticks. They're by far one of my favorite matte liquid lipsticks. For a semi-matte try the clinque matte lipstick line.
Sitting writing an assignment and its been driving me crazy so i took a break and watched this and now i feel so much better, honestly you've just saved me haha! Going to go do more work then i'll be back to binge watch any videos I've missed!
i only use cruelty free makeup and use barry m's showgirl mascara and love it!! definitely worth a try!! love your videos and it's so great seeing populat youtubers go cf!
I found you through your collab with Estee and I love your personality! I've only seen a couple of your videos so far but I love them. You're a breath of fresh air to my subscriptions!
the waking up issue is one I had! Get a really loud alarm clock and put it at the opposite end of your room. So you have to get out of the bed to turn it off lol. saved me haha x
i just really love your videos and how down to earth you seem. i don't bother to watch many other channels but i'm literally always checking this one i just lOVE IT SO MUCH
Ok for concealer I love the tarte stick one or maybe the NARS radiant creamy concealer or maybe the naked skin one by urban decay ((just in case you're still looking for a concealer!!)) and if you're looking for a drugstore brand NYX HD concealer is so nice
Thank you for talking so in detail about Chasing Cameron! I don't honestly know much about the MAGCON tour admittedly but I'm so interested in TH-cam community and culture that I've been considering watching it for a while. I didn't like the idea of it being pretty much the One Direction movie glorifying these boys (nothing against the boys, but nobody's perfect). Having heard what you have to say, I'm definitely going to check it out!
I am loving Moonuary/Veg! I recommend Colourpop Lippie sticks (not their liquid lipsticks, which are super drying). It is an affordable and cruelty-free brand. My favorite nude lippie is Aquarius, which is a creme finish. The matte finishes are gorgeous as well. I'm unsure if they ship to the UK, but it's worth check out! Great quality, low price. What's better than that?
Hey! I'm an ENFP too. I was super stressed out for the first part of finals week but then I got properly organized and I was the least stressed out of all of my friends. It was quite difficult but it did pay off.
Yay fellow ENFP! Also I totally feel you on the organisation thing. I've been travelling for the past 5 months and i think the most organised i've been was once I booked a bus 3 days in advance. Most of the time i check out of the hostel in the morning and then go well, I guess i'll go to another city today I wonder if there are any buses left. Which has left me stranded in a cold bus station waiting for a 2am bus a few times before.
Hearing that you're an ENFJ (slash P) makes so much sense as to why I just love your vibe. Fellow ENFJ (sometimes INFJ) here!
I sniggered at 'OTHER THAN MAYBE HANNAH AND LEENA' because I was literally thinking the same thing a split second before you said it.
THE HOLY TRINITY!!! 😂
wHAT. So weird to hear my name in this. and yay Enneagram I love it.
Meet and greets do seem really hard work, obviously there's much harder jobs in the world but it's emotionally hard work to put so much energy and enthusiasm into meeting so many people in such a short amount of time. Lucy is literally one of the most underrated TH-camrs on this platform
I thought you were stalking David Cameron when I saw the title
daisyjsore pahahahah omg I died
lol same
daisyjsore Haha, same

But, also my problem is doing the hard, not so fun stuff, which I have called on my new's resolutions is "Getting the shit done" I like it and hopefully it will be successful!
Watching this while doing my makeup is really nice to have someone also do their makeup and listen to them chat
I love the Gosh matte lipstick in Antique and a lot of people say it's a dupe of Velvet Teddy if you're looking for a cruelty free alternative 😘
+Georgia Stephenson omg no way! I'll have to check it out
Lucy Moon I don't know how close they are cos I've never compared them myself but that's the word on the street - it's a gorg colour in its own right anyway
You look like a mix between a brunette Margot Robbie and Keira Knightley- so gorgeous! Love this style of video- so relaxed and genuine
I love this video so much because it feels like a podcast in the way that you can just do normal house stuff and hw but also listen to your wonderful voice while you're at it ( and it feels like a conversation )
Favourite type of video omg
On the meet and greet topic: I got the chance to meet you at Vidcon in 2016, and you and Chai were an absolute joy. Thank you so much for your encouragement that day! I can't imagine how exhausting all of that is but I really appreciate how much effort you put into meeting your subscribers

oh my god, I relate so much to your problems with organization!! I feel exactly the same :S
Omg I feel you so much on the organisation an will power problem. Seeing that there's someone else with the same problem makes me feel a bit better!
I literally live in liquid lipsticks, when you get used to them, they're perfect!
I love watching these while I put my makeup on!
The new BITE lipsticks are amazing! They're super moisturizing and they stay on, even though they transfer a bit. x
Please do so many of these ^.^ I could listen to you talk for hours :) plus watching people put on makeup is very relaxing
So nice to know that I'm not alone in the lack of will power and organisation...so frustrating when people says that's it's not that difficult- it is!
Great video. However, I'm slightly disappointed it wasn't about you chasing David Cameron somewhere in London. Don't know why my mind jumped there, but yeah, I came here with high hopes :D
I'd love that
Julia Ts glad this wasn't just me! 😂
spooky jim |-/
I love it x
its refreshing to hear you speak so honestly about yourself. i really admire you :)
In terms of make up recommendations, I love the E.L.F Matte Lip Pencils, they are horrendously inexpensive (depending on where you buy from, $6-$8) but so high quality, Natural and Praline are my actual favourites. They are retractable and also come with a sharpener at the end of the pencil (it's the piece that indicates what colour it is, you just pull it out and you can reshape the pencil to get a pointed tip). And the brand is cruelty-free!
I'm really loving these chatty videos!
lucy, just want to let you know that if this video everyday is really stressing you out and holding you back in any negative ways, please don't feel like it's like the worst thing in the world if you miss a day :) also i'm really enjoying veg btw, it's lovely to have a new video of lovely you everyday :)
I adore the Chatty GRWM videos. Honestly if you made one of these every day I would be so down.
Girl HOW do you get your makeup so flawless yet natural??
I imagine you know about bullet journalling already but as a fellow disorganised-by-nature person I've found it super helpful (and a really nice creative outlet) so would highly recommend :)
Susanna O'Brien ooh, Bullet Journal... I just had a look to see if it'd work for me, and the system is a neat idea. I think it seems to work in three parts:
1) Notation - the • X < > ○ symbols and keeping things short, personal and objective (efficiency)
2) index, and 6 month, month, daily plans (tracking/goal setting)
3) *migration - getting rid of stuff and distilling to what's important.*
I feel that last one is absolutely key to its success. I can make things as efficient as I like and track as many goals as I like, but my new found free time that came from the efficiency is just going to fill up with more 'important work'. And then I'm back to square one with "I'm too busy!" and "I can't cope with this workload!"
I also find it by no means easy to do the distilling part.
I love edge of 17, I know it's new but it come at the perfect time and it makes me feel so much better in my life!
Been looking through your old videos today, I really like these talks! Can relate a lot to the part about struggling with self-control when being your own boss...
Absolutely loving VEJ!
I love chatty grwm videos of yours so when this popped up in my sub box it made my entire day :)
I love watching your videos in bed before falling asleep beacuse it's so soothing and calming
I am just loving having videos every day to look forward to from you. Always wonderful accompaniments to my cups of tea. I hope you're enjoying making them as well!
i love your hair at the moment. it's so shiny and the perfect length and those subtle curls just look really great on you :)
I'm an ISTJ - exact opposite!!! Maybe that's why I love your videos so much - you offer a different perspective!
Your hair looks extra nice in this :)
I'm an ENFP as well! That makes me quite happy because I've always thought you seem like a cool person and it's interesting to me that we're the same personality type.

I swear, after a few minutes of washing your videos, I forget about what the view is about and just enjoying hearing your voice.
Step one: get yourself a journal/calendar.

Step three: At the end of the to do lists, write down smth you are treating yourself with.

Love these, would not be bored if you did another one or two this month :)

you should try to smashbox matte liquid lipsticks. They're by far one of my favorite matte liquid lipsticks. For a semi-matte try the clinque matte lipstick line.
Loving all the content lately Lucy :) you're so natural in front of the camera!

i only use cruelty free makeup and use barry m's showgirl mascara and love it!! definitely worth a try!! love your videos and it's so great seeing populat youtubers go cf!
I found you through your collab with Estee and I love your personality! I've only seen a couple of your videos so far but I love them. You're a breath of fresh air to my subscriptions!
the waking up issue is one I had! Get a really loud alarm clock and put it at the opposite end of your room. So you have to get out of the bed to turn it off lol. saved me haha x
i just really love your videos and how down to earth you seem. i don't bother to watch many other channels but i'm literally always checking this one i just lOVE IT SO MUCH
I can't tell you how helpful making your bed first thing in the morning so you won't be tempted in getting back in
Organisation is an excellent way of combatting anxiety and stress.
Love your thumbnail stars A LOT! 💙💙💙
I'd love it if you talked more about personality types. I'm also an enfp and super fascinated by everything in that vein.
Lucy, if you use eye primer before applying eye shadow, the colour payoff will be 10x better! Love your videos keep pushing through xxx
your eyeliner gives me life
Enneagram-I am type one
And Myers Briggs-I am ISTJ.
Love personality tests too!
Hey! I'm an ENFP too. I was super stressed out for the first part of finals week but then I got properly organized and I was the least stressed out of all of my friends. It was quite difficult but it did pay off.
I love your makeup look, really. Very glowy and dusty rose and it's gorgeous. Great video! x
