About to buy my first duramax, a 2016 Silverado LTZ with 78,000 miles for 40k. So excited. Watched a lot of your videos and I know what to look for. Thanks Truck Master
That’s a game changer now they come leveled. I’m gonna have to get me a new set now. Leveling them is easy but tricky with that cap. Color looks killer brother
Super huge shoot out to the guys at the paint shop. It's good to know that some paint shops will do a paint job, and not fall back and cry "oh we are collision repair only" and walk away. I have 5 shops in my area . Only one had a couple vehicles in the shop. The others were EMPTY. I pulled up and asked to see about an estimate and getting just a standard same color paint job. They all said nope... collision repair only. So hat's off to that shop. Not to mention allowing you access. SO GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE BUILD IDEAS... Those are great bumper brush gaurd systems. Adding a winch is fantastic. Harbor Freight Badlands, affordable and they work. A small one on the back is handy too. Spray in Raptor liner in the bed. Mud flaps on the back. Lots of lights... Harbor Freight is a great source there too. Plus your doing the interior 👌 who are you and what have you done with the Truckmaster ?
The Ranch Hand Bumpers are heavy, but worth it. Mine has the "push bar" & reciever for my multi mount Winch. However I did the light guard delete & mounted mine a little higher on the frame with some custom heavy mounting brackets.
this build is epic. Keep the videos coming with the auto-body, as someone who does diy hobby painting. Plus worked at an auto-body shop its a unique touch to your builds learning auto-body stuff! That paint matching gismo is super cool! I just applied for a truck loan on my first ever lbz. Had My CPA create a profit/loss from my business. Hope it gets approved. So excited.
@ just my dream truck. And I’m a mechanic so I fix most of my vehicles issues. Im also going to buy a newer work truck too. Im selling my 1/2 to upgrade to a couple of 3/4 ton work trucks is all.
That turbo while it sounds good, would get old fast especially towing lol. I really like this truck, you did a great job sourcing a clean truck to start with. Your channel has been elevated to rock star status between your rebuilt raised roof on the shop and all the work you’ve doing. I like how you mod the truck the right way, no cutting corners, top notch work and channel! Keep it up,and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Mirrors look good ranch hands front and back will look good. Keep the taillights, the height of the truck and 33’s are nice and some interior would be cool.
Hello Josh. I've enjoyed the videos on the new $5000 2002 GMC Duramax truck. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I miss seeing Mealine on the channel. I know she has to take care of the kids.
What a beautiful truck! I would love to get out of my '17 and find a decent cat eye duramax to get into. I love my '17 just can't afford the payment on it anymore.
Whether your a powerstroke Cummins or duramax fan Hate or love. No matter who you talk to everyone has there story’s good and bad on every. Engine platform. 6.2 6.5 6.6 to the 6.9 7.3 6.0 6.4 6.7 to 12v 5.9 to 24 5.9 and the 5.9 24v cr 2003 until 07.5 6.7 present what ever truck your build hell ya Bless you all
Josh, I just bought a duramax and I am looking to get a new seat. You mentioned in the video that you got a new cushion. Where did you buy it from and/or could you recommend a company?
When you do work on these Duramax 6.6l engines do you change the firing order so as to lessen the chance of a broken crank or not? I bought one with a broken crank [2004 LB7] and built an orphaned engine for it...am putting PPE cast iron heads on it, but wondered about the crank.
Nice looking truck! I'm now in the market for a new to me used truck. Looking at pre emmision duramax or cummins. My old truck was an 02 sierra 8.1L and it decided to catch itself on fire and burn to the ground. I think it was fuel related, didn't even have smoke before i saw flames shooting out the driver side wheelwell... dealing with insurance now to see what i can get.
Im shopping for a silv for a hotshot mule. But im nervous about buying chevy because everybody claim they’re not reliable. And everybody buy dodge because its easier to repair. But they stay in the shop. I hope somebody can help me decide. I really want to go chevy, but i dont have the money to play around. Took me forever to save this $30k and idk what to do. Lol
I'd really like to know what color silver this truck is because I'd like to paint mine one day and either want another shade of silver or a different color
TruckMaster Do you have any tips and tricks to remove a broken off glow plug in an LBZ? The head and threads came out It broke off about a quarter inch below the threads
From my experience unfortunately I had to drill and tap them out, before I do this job I spay penetrating lube on them it’s very possible to remove them but not a fun job.
Barely worth the wheels n tires the way it sits. These trucks are just getting too old . Once you start, it's always another $1,000 - $5,000. I did it back in the day, but I've learned my lesson
@TruckMaster I'm not talking crap here. I love your videos ! I definitely don't have money ... not even close ! Who do you think can afford to do the stuff you do to these older trucks ? I've been a subscriber for many years. No hate
@sg255010 there comes a point in time when it makes sense. 10 years ago it probably would have made sense to stick 10 grand into a truck like that, but now it's just not a smart decision.
@michaelzeinert2074 I’m sure the people said the same thing about classic muscle cars and trucks…now look at how much they’re worth. Just because you think it’s not worth it doesnt speak for everyone else. These trucks are gaining a lot of value due to the fact that people are getting tired of all the issues with new vehicles. At the end of the day, if you enjoy it I say go for it! Keep them old trucks alive and driving down the road.
Special shoutout to the subscribers! Thanks for all the support watching the videos you guys are the real ones. 🏆
Absolutely love your builds/content. Cant wait to see if you do some sort of interior build on this badass rig🔥💪

That looks a lot better those mirrors really make difference, good job dude
Appreciate that man
Love how the build is coming along. Wheels/tires and the boost tow mirrors really change the look

Thanks for sharing, I agree, it's tough to find a good paint shop!
Everyone please leave a like on the video the more money he makes the more videos we get!! Great video!
👍👍👍
Looks like it matched good and not the easiest color to match.
The Ranch Hand Bumpers are heavy, but worth it. Mine has the "push bar" & reciever for my multi mount Winch. However I did the light guard delete & mounted mine a little higher on the frame with some custom heavy mounting brackets.
Just like all of your projects, I'm enjoying following this one and learning along the way.
Merry Christmas brother 🎄
Merry Christmas to you as well, thanks for checking in 🎄
Merry Christmas to you and your family Josh!
Merry Christmas 🎁
Ranch hands front and back would be badass! A interior video would be awesome. Merry Christmas Truck Master Family !

Awesome news congrats man
Why getting a loan for a 15+ year old truck but to each their own
@ just my dream truck. And I’m a mechanic so I fix most of my vehicles issues. Im also going to buy a newer work truck too. Im selling my 1/2 to upgrade to a couple of 3/4 ton work trucks is all.
@@Camo-Dan congrats man hopefully you get her !. Lbz duramax are good trucks
A Escalade dash would be pretty cool
@TruckMaster something to consider if you are driving it in the winter coat the rockers and wheel wells with 3M cavity wax to prevent rust
Daaang! It’s like we’re building the same truck bro! Love it!!!
I'm glad you're enjoying the build, I'm having a blast with it!
Paint matched bumper is the way to go!!

Would be cool to see an interior video
I like this one better than the orange one!🎉
With it being a LBZ 2006 I definitely like the grey truck better
Love the ranch hands. I put the legend front bumpers on all my trucks. The powder coat job, not too great though. Paint matched would look great.
Truck looks good
Mirrors look good ranch hands front and back will look good. Keep the taillights, the height of the truck and 33’s are nice and some interior would be cool.

The OEM accordion mirrors are my guilty pleasure.
Screams grandpa

It’s hard to give up a truck but sometimes gotta do what you gotta do
@TruckMaster that's exactly where I'm at. So if you know anyone looking for a 17 high country lol

Very nice Duramax! Merry Christmas!
Mirrors would look sweet with the arms paint matched
14 seconds ago happy to see you still posting haven’t seen you in awhile!
Thanks for checking back in I wonder if your not getting any notifications
@@TruckMasterI will get them every couple months or so, most of the time that I see you is when I’m digging though you’re older videos for help
Josh you should look at chassis unlimited bumpers
Josh, I just bought a duramax and I am looking to get a new seat. You mentioned in the video that you got a new cushion. Where did you buy it from and/or could you recommend a company?
It’s a company called “the seat shop” but for a affordable option check eBay or Amazon for replacement cushions
It's really awesome the work that you put in too your trucks great job
Appreciate that! It's been a fun project.

That fuggin turbo is so gawd damn loud
Dang, reverse lights sound nice!
Been waiting for this!
Merry Christmas to you and your family Truck!

Lb7 is good. Make sure injectors have been done though.
Would you consider more l5p content? Also love the content
Yes most definitely
Would like that same!!@@TruckMaster
Where are you buying your front quarter panels from?
Im shopping for a silv for a hotshot mule. But im nervous about buying chevy because everybody claim they’re not reliable. And everybody buy dodge because its easier to repair. But they stay in the shop. I hope somebody can help me decide. I really want to go chevy, but i dont have the money to play around. Took me forever to save this $30k and idk what to do. Lol
I’d get a 17-19 l5p deleted to hotshot with. They are solid trucks
Buy a pre emissions duramax they are good trucks. I miss my old lb7
I was waiting for the next upload 👀🔥🔥🔥
I appreciate you checking in 👍
Where or what brand company did you purchase the fenders?
I'd really like to know what color silver this truck is because I'd like to paint mine one day and either want another shade of silver or a different color
Truck looks good. I put iron horse bumpers on the truck an be done with it
Who do you suggest for tunning I just put a rds 64mm on my lbz

@ thank you. Unfortunately that’s about what I figured I would have to do. Ah shouldn’t be that aweful hopefully. Merry Christmas!
Amazing love it….❤❤❤❤❤❤
I want that bumper. I wanna change my 01 over to that style bumper.
Paint match the ranch hand
You got a link for those mirrors?
boostautoparts.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoo5XqSQRxRv5Zhe98vd6MgDvhJ79EjBQ-LD1l_SBkrKUdezyZz0
Yeah I wish I can find me a Duramax can't seem to find one or a afford one cuz I like to find me a three-quarter ton or 1 ton butterfly at one ton
Just do a nice ranch hand grille guard. Not a big beefy one like you have on the red one.
I like the big one though 😂
@ as Michael Scott would say “…that’s what she said”
Silver birch metallic ?
You should do a Cadillac Escalade interior swap
Nooooo don’t do it! It’s soooo hard!! The eBay parts list is never ending!
Wanna sell those stock mirrors?
@14:54 holy shit. Can really the difference in the 2 paint colors.
I hate to say it but I was thinking the same thing!
Looks ready to trade for a dually
💡
Fender is a different color
Color match the ranch hand bumper
Your driver's side tail light isn't working at all
You're right, I need to get that sorted out.
Don’t put a ugly off-road bumper on this truck looks so much better with factory bumpers
I agree but I’m more concerned about hitting deer also we need a aggressive look
Barely worth the wheels n tires the way it sits. These trucks are just getting too old . Once you start, it's always another $1,000 - $5,000. I did it back in the day, but I've learned my lesson

You have to do a real truck one of these days 8 foot bed
🤨
The only reason to have a truck is to use it instead of a road queen
