Hey there! Fellow filmmaker here. While I am 100% not interested in makeup at all, I watched your video and was really inspired by your creativity/dope editing skills. I am currently shooting some product B-Roll and was looking through youtube for some examples/inspiration and this did it! Keep up the great work, subscribed.
You really just inspired me to get into videography. I think this was the push I needed. This was amazing..I loved your quirkiness as well.. Tell your flatmate nice job as well..Def. seamless..Im def about to subscribe!!
Hay Grace, I just came across this amazing BTS vid for your client's commercial this summer of 2021. As a content video creator, compliments go on to you as you continue to prove it's not all about using the most expensive high-end gear to get the shots. You prove time and time again it's all about having a creative vision that drives you. @ 3:11 the secret magic trick of grabbing a suitcase, a light stand, some tape, and a laundry hamper was totally unexpected. I was like, this is completely unorthodox *what dah! what!* Amazing Grace you are indeed and I would consider you to be a hardcore DIY QUEEN. The Kool thing about conceiving an idea at the moment is that it might seem crazy to execute but in the end, it was so crazy it worked beautifully. Keep your eyes on your prize and always remain relentless in the pursuit of your purpose. Your clients will praise you and others will marvel over your work of genius. Thanks for sharing and congratulations on this wonderful concept video ad for your client. Absolutely Brilliant. Oh yeah here's a DIY hack. Next time you're using superglue add a pinch or two of ordinary baking soda by sprinkling it around the glued area. This will allow for an immediate bonding action. Although I would not recommend using this hack on humans or pets. Cheers!
Omg you used Exid's i love you as the soundtrack? I was caught off guard by the familiarity when I watched your ads in your website lol Anyways your work is amazing you're def gonna make it big
So I think I’m your newest and biggest FAN! You are a creative genius! I could watch your videos all day long because they just inspire me! So excited to keep following your journey and hopefully start my own journey soon! Thank you times a million for putting amazing content into the world!
Hey Grace i really loved the creativity on that video, can you show us how you removed that stick in the editing process please? , that would be a pleasure
How do you select your soundtrack? Also, do you pick your music first and then work off that? Does your client tell you what kind of "style" they want. Omg sorry, so many questions 😅. I'm just so eager to learn!
Hey there! Don't apologize haha! I have an Artlist subscription, so I go through music on there and just choose something I think suits well. I ALWAYS choose the music first - planning all my shots with the timing and vibe of the music in mind makes a huge difference in the final product. And it depends on the client! Some clients are very specific about what they want, some clients let me run wild. Hope this helps!
WOW!! Thank you sooo much for sharing this video with us! This was extremely helpful! I do makeup content for instagram and definitely want to take the videos to the next level! You are amazing! GREAT TIPS GIRL! New subscriber!
First of all I am soooooo happy I came across your channel. Subscribed. I have a lipgloss brand and I need new photos. I’ll be filming my attempts as well
You deserve more subscribers thanks for the video, I'm in the process of filming something similar like this and i needed inspiration and I got it thanks
I want to know what editing software you use as well as what you use to erase the background of the popsicle sticks cuz I think that was genius and sometimes we don't know what we don't know so the fact that you were able to create something that people that have done this type of work before as far as doing that scene like you did an awesome job and me having a cosmetic business want to have those quality shots and videos that give people the real experience and feel of my product like this was like this is some L'Oreal some MAC cosmetics some really high-quality shooting you did here❤
Man you are so awsmmmmm... Your videos really helped me alot with my client work... And those tips and tricks you shared made my life sooo easy.... Thanks alot.. Keep up the good work and try to share videos more frequently 😅😅😅😅😅
Wow this is super informative and helpful. I would like to know how to actually remove the chopsticks in post ? This is video and not a photo so I am curious:)
Thank you!! I don't have a proper editing tutorial for this effect (hopefully I'll get around to it one day!) but what I did was I filmed two shots 1) shot opening the bottle with the stick 2) shot of a plain backdrop I then overlayed shot #1 on top of shot #2 in Adobe After Effects and created an opacity mask on shot 1 to "cut out" the bottle (excluding the backdrop/stick). You'll have to make Mask Path keyframes to move the mask throughout the shot, since the bottle is moving too! Not sure if you have TikTok, but I explain the process in this TikTok video: www.tiktok.com/@gracewellsphoto/video/6831245945141841157?lang=en Hope this is somewhat understandable haha! I wish I had more time to make tutorials but I work full time so it's kind of tricky to find the hours in the day!
Love love love this! Do you have an editing tutorial for this product shoot? I'm curious how did you removed the stick when the cap is turning in post?
