Abandoned_Mall was by-far my favorite map, I remember all those days holing up in the Buffalo Wild Wings or Wells Fargo bank vault with 20 other people and just having the time of our lives even though we all knew we were gonna die.
Nostalgia. I don't play gmod multiplayer, let alone zombie survival, anymore. But good memories. Don't remember the map name but I remember we were holding out but were slowly being pushed back and we were running out of props to barricade with. I had the supply crate and was short a bit on the barricade kit tool. So I mention that and a guy goes to buy something, giving me enough credits to buy it. Am able to reinforce our barricade with the barricade kit but they're still getting through. Right as the zombies broke down our last barricade and started swarming into our tiny hold out room, the timer ran out and we survived/won. I don't think I'd ever seen a human victory before then.
The image makes me think about a point in the history of the Half Life universe where the Xen infestation on Earth gets so bad that Rebels and Combines have no choice but to team up to survive.
I remember how hard I always was laughing at this song, either when I'm a zombie trying to break through barricades or a survivor seeing million zombies trying to do it
