I can understand why you might think that, most of "alt" art has a lot of gore and things but I can assure you the art isn't meant to romanticize murder or SH or anything, it's mostly just vent art and stuff. The art is made to creep you out, that's the point, but sometimes it's also that people don't want to just draw "nice" or "clean" art, because life is messy and sometimes artists want to express that and their feelings into their art.
