My three children and myself spent some wonderful holidays at Harcourt Sands between 1993 and 1996. We came for the same two weeks each time and met up with the same people year after year. It was lovely to see this old film of the place and I was saddened to see that the camp had closed in 2006. I now live in Ryde and quite often walk along the sea front to Appley Park, picturing my three on the trampolines, on pedaloes on the boating pond and on the beach. Lovely memories.
Had a holidy there in 2006, with my partner & her son, best holidy for sure. We had a nick name for our neighbour, Moaning Myrtle ,who was next to our shalley. Great times, when life was good.
Thanks for uploading this. Between 2012-2016 me and my friends would frequently jump the fence and explore the abandoned harcourt sands and seeing it all so alive in these videos is amazing and giving me a sense of nostalgia seeing it alive: really happy but sad emotions seeing that. Please never delete this video.

Thank you. It is very sad that this once amazing family resort was left to ruin, and the land is still yet to be used.
