Heng Long 1/16 scale RC Tank with upgraded metal tracks and upgraded metal gears/gearboxes. The Tank has realistic sounds, firing Airsoft cannon, and machine gun sounds, as well as a smoke machine built in. This Tank goes anywhere! The only issues I had were with weeds/reeds getting caught up on the track wheels and making it slip.
This is a cheap rc tank compared to the 1/16 Tamiya Tanks, but it performs really well! Comes ready to run, and plenty of features.

great tank its huge lol, the quality of heng long tanks today are getting better and much cheaper compared to tamiya, heng long will also release their new model T72 with steel gears already mounted on it

Tamiya are silly price RC. More detail but these Heng Long ready built so haven't got to spend a week building. And as i do strip them add your own details and paint weather which to me is the fun bit.

A word of caution about the Zinc gears. they will wear a bit quickly and strip. they also sell a version with steel gearboxes. i had to refit my Leopard 2 with those

Cheers Tony, I had quite a few slow mo shots of that, didn't want to put 4 mins of a BB hitting the water though haha.
😁👍that's a sweet tank!! throw those BB's out they stink...get some .12 crossman glow in the dark BB's they very good..I also use biodegradable .20 in mine for more accurate shooting.

The 20s work really well. They shoot slower but the accuracy is sweet.
What are your parameters for the British Challenger Tank? For example; Length, Width, Height, BB Capacity, Projectile FPS, Projectile Distance, Tank Weight.
On the cheaper plastic version the gears are made from Nylon, I’d argue that it is unintentionally better for the vehicle due to nylon’s natural tensile strength, durability and, lubrication, however the plastic drive wheels are a big no no, I’ll be ordering aluminium ones as soon as I can, also, what water resistant spray did you use?
Yes the 'Metal' gears are sometimes a little soft or brittle in these Chinese RC's. I used Conformal coating for the ESC 👍
mine had ripped its nylon gears after maybe two months of use. they are not that durable fyi.
I only reccomend the Steel Gears, Lube them with Lucas Red N Tacky, cover the Gears and have fun. Nylon/Plastic gears literally break easily with a Tank this Weight.
Nice video, i like that tank, great job from Henglong, i alraedy have two RC tanks, the Taigen T34/85 and the Torro Tiger I, now i'd like to get a modern tank and i am in doubt between this one a the Russian T90.

Mine can’t go anywhere without gears grinding and my tank loosing turning and traction outside it’s a challenger 2 plastic takes stock tank
I have the panther and the bulldog with metal gears and tracks. No issues with either except the tacks slipping off if I turn to fast which can be a pain. I love my panther but the bulldog is just ok. Its lighter and is rear heavy so its climbing capabilities are not too good.

Like you with your car rc we do the same with armour strip n upgrade! The base shell/Hull and suspension are good to upgrade normally there water tight the sherman and panzer 3 etc is maybe they changed standards from this video I don't know but normally bone dry inside great looking tank's! Torro and Armotek see if you can review one them but more pricey but so amazing!
I have a Torro and Taigen. Both are the metal IR versions with smoke. I haven't dared to run them through mud though. How did you clean it afterwards?

Yeah, they are not cheap compared to some budget RC Cars/Trucks. But in the Scale RC Tank world they are pretty cheap. A 1/16 Tamiya is about 3 to 4 times the price 👍

All I can say is the gun is most like jammed so you might need a rod or something to dislodge the bb pellet
