We are off to The PRI show. We started on some SHO’NUFF content and will have to jump back on it when we get back. Excited to make some serious progress on it! This S2000 was so fun to rip on! The. Tune is so clean now! Love it!!
Brett, Benny from Benny's Custom Works is going to look out for you at PRI if you still want info around the Barra... Massive knowledge around this platform of engine guys and one of the best people to talk too.
Been watching since the shop was closing down and Kyle set up a Go Fund Me and here we are!! Best money I ever spent! Thank you Brent for the posititvity and good times! God Bless you Brother.
Brent you should start showing how to tune videos. Been tuning for years. Always watch every video. Been a long time subscriber. Go into depth so people can learn. Go over the basics on what everything does and why. Will always be a supporter. Thanks for always keeping it awesome!
Brent is such a great guy. He is always willing to show everyone how things work and how to make adjustments to fix or make the problem better. Most tuners are always trying to just hide what they are doing for job security.... Brent seems like he could care less about that. He is more about showing and helping the next generation/person wiling to learn
Brent you and Jamie are a great business duo. I enjoy watching just about anything yall post. I love the positivity. It's amazing to watch you stay so up beat even when he'll hits home. Keep up the great work and stay blessed.
I liked seeing what you're changing on the laptop. I've seen folks doing that for years, and had a very minimal concept of the specifics of what they were doing. Also, Brent is the most positive guy I've seen. I'm sure he's an awesome guy to hang out with. Keep wearing it out, fellas.
Incredible to watch you go through the tuning process. Thanks a million. Would love to this a similar video with AEM Infinity. Also, I’m curious on what your preferences are when tuning the ignition timing on turbocharged cars running blended ethanol.
I love the channel... and I love the music tht yall do everytime Brent starts in on the laptop... everything yall do is so awesome... and Brent's attitude is so great I dont think anything could get him down... keep up all the good work we love it!!!
Awesome walk through. Thank you. What’s your opinion on the smaller turbos that loose map pressure with higher rpms. Is it dangerous for the motor. Would richening up the afr help with the hotter temps at high rpms due to the restriction and backing up?
As a self taught tuner myself, I love watching and learning! This is awesome. Currently I run my PSI boost + Total Timing = 28-30. So like 22 psi + 6 degrees total timing = 28. It's a little soft, but its kind of how I start em off on the street. 92 octane.
@@BoostedSpeedDemon Very cool, Horsepower is Horsepower it's fun in all packages! I've had Vtecs all my life but recently got the built turbo WRX and it's a whole different world... Torque? I have some now! LOL!
I have this same kit on my s2000, with the gt3582r. Im only on 93octane and running a stock exhaust and it made ~388whp. Cool to see there is some room for improvement by adding an exhaust and e85. Also very cool to see the tuning process. I bet that car is a blast to drive at 460whp.
Iv only worked with up tuners it’s so cool that you can make live changes with k pro without having to shut the car off and upload the tune, makes the process so much faster
Kind of... you only have a limited amount of flash memory to work with so you have to go in the calibration and set up which fields you are going to be able to "live" tune, then you upload the calibration to the ECU and can make changes to those fields only, then you save the updated calibration file (to comp) and then upload that calibration to the ECU (at least this is how you do it with FlashPro). Every time you upload a calibration to the ECU it takes close to 2 min so yeah it is a big speed up of the process to select the low/high fuel tables, fuel compensation tables (coolant temperature/IAT) and dial those in. Then you can select and move to "live" timing low/high and say knock sensitivity and the timing modifier tables (coolant temperature/IAT).
I am about to start the mods to turbo my 2004 Acura TL J32A3 that already has new MLS head gaskets, new custom made ARP head studs, a Gates RPM timing belt and water pump, Injector Nation 1000cc injectors (with a basemap from my buddy who's a professional tuner like you), Acura RL (J35A8) cams, a 2003 Acura CL Type-S six speed manual trans with LSD, a billet shifter box, a 2007 TL Type-S manual ECU with Hondata FlashPro, and it has an AEM 340 LPH fuel pump. It also has an AEM wideband in it already. As I'm sure you already know the J32A3 has the exhaust manifolds casted into the heads, so I bought some billet output flanges from P2P (AWESOME J series experts), and I built some 2.5" stainless exhaust piping with flex pipes, I welded on v-band flanges on each juncture point, I built a collector with the T3 flange and 44mm wastegate flange, I already installed a large eBay FMIC with a same side inlet/outlet behind the front bumper, it has 3" charge piping with a Tial Q50 BOV (and I had to cut into the sheet metal behind the headlight to fit both charge pipes through), and it'll be running on a ball bearing GT3582R turbo from Kinugawa Turbo. The J32A3 has 11.5:1 compression so I'll only be running 5-8 psi, but I'm not looking for a record breaker, just a little more punch. It's my daily, so I don't want to blow it up, but I daily'd my 2001 Honda Accord sedan with a J32A2 with the same trans and a GTS3582 turbo running on AEM for 25,000 miles with no issues until a student driver pulled out RIGHT in front of me.
Soon as i heard Crab hands music kickin in i was soooo excited to see his dance moves. But no :( :( :( Please chuck him on next time your tuning please Brent. Love the little guy hahaha Let's GOOOOOOOOO
Awesome video..... Watch for the Chevy Malibu in the cracker barrel booth at PRI.. Bill he awesome guy p.s the old man's garage.... He's SRC boy's Dad...
The take-away from this video should not be that the turbo is to small, but that this setup will provide maximum fun to drive! Put a set of stickier tires on it and show the big boys what this much torque can do at the local road race course. Awesome drivability with plenty of get-her-done power!
Awesome video I want to learn more on the reading logs and tuning for my self and to help with track support for friends turning the wrench only goes so far
Awesome video and clean s2k, something about tuning is really a zen experience almost ASMR quality. This video has me pretty pumped up to get my new Darton sleeved b16 on the dyno! Just posted a short video of starting up the new motor for the first time last week 💪.
Very clean almost looks stock I do like a good street car build.the S2000 was always a good car ,but under power and to expensive for what you got, this make it worth the money.
I always love how quickly Brent can go from looking like he avoiding the tax man to looking like the tax man within the time it takes to cut his hair. 🤣
I don’t mean to be rude or nothin’ but IMHO PFI Brent tuning sessions don’t count if Lil’ Brent calls in sick. Really, if the magic tunes start up and the dancin’ dude don’t make an appearance I feel the same as when I buy my date full-on surf ‘n turf and don’t even get a kiss goodnight! 😳😬 Cheers bruddas, it’s all good and although I miss the guy I just hope LB gets better! 😄 🖖😎👍
Seeing that you can overlay the log result over the map, does other ECUs or ECU mods or tuning software do that? Might be getting into tuning soon...either with a single cylinder Honda or a EFI swap FZR400 using the 06+ R6 throttle bodies. There's a Link ECU dealer around but would surely hope FuelTech gets here!
Brent I REALLY wish that I could bring my 04 TL to your shop after I get done installing the turbo so you can tune it and record it for YT. I don't care about peak power as long as it's fun, and with a GT3582R turbo on 5-8 psi it should be PLENTY of fun. My 2001 Accord with a J32A2/03 CL Type-S six speed manual swap with a GTS3582 turbo on 10 psi with an AEM Series II standalone with supporting mods made 502 whp after my buddy tuned it on the Turnpike. Honestly I'd be happy with 350 whp out of my J32A3. It's my daily, so I can't get too crazy with it as it makes 11.5:1 compression stock, and it has 220k miles on it...lmao It has supporting mods too...
Brent, I’ve noticed you don’t use quick spool in a lot of your videos and hearing you say you don’t really like it here, why is that? Building the quick spool through duty x rpm just seems like a lot more work doesn’t it?

That’s exactly it . Who knows who it could inspire 🤩
No one can tune like Brent anyways.they just chase hp he does more then that
You've actually inspired me to learn the software and hardware involved, and possibly design a new aid for trackside adjustment
As novice tuner I really appreciate this content. Thanks for showing us all the logs after an adjustment and dyno pull.

You can hear how happy the engine is at the end. Cool to see how the fueling changes made all the difference. It's really fast! 😲
Tuning is like black magic to me. To watch you tune so effortlessly is just amazing keep up the awesome work 👏
I really enjoyed watching you put the tune-up on this S2000. The owner is going to have a blast driving this little beast.
Really like the tuning video, especially showing what happening behind the keyboard! Very interesting!
💪🏽 so appreciate that
Love the tuning videos. Keep the hard work up guys!!!
That’s the kit I want!! It’s only rated to 380-400whp!! It must be underrated! WOW! And in Colorado elevation! 🤯🤯🤯
You know stuffs gonna get real when the tuning music comes on!
Great to see this kind of video, really missed this stuff.

Loving the in depth tuning brent more please haha
I love how quick it picks up with the smaller turbo. I love my Precision 3231e with the .48 hotside on my Vitara D16 :-)

Yea that's a solid number on pump. I'm 7.8:1 comp so I run 22psi and 16* on pump and it's healthy. With 100 octane I can run 33psi and 13*
@@BoostedSpeedDemon Wow! That's impressive.
@@ivtec4fun55 eh. It's an 89 Ford Probe GT on an HX35 so not the numbers a K series or F series makes. About 350whp at 22psi and 500ish whp on 33psi
