Its a better way to reply to a trucker who just flashed you telling you that your trailer is clear his front and you can change back into his lane or slow lane after you past him. Its a quicker way to reply instead of flashing your marker lights back saying thank you. Very few truckers use it in the USA but most don't under stand it. less wear and tear on dash switches and no need to take hands off steering wheel. I miss the 70's n 80's trucking in UK. I'm thinking the driver knew he was admiring his truck.
