@@thelegendgamer770What was the battle in which Murad was defeated by Abbas the Great?!!!History consists of battles and wars, and the victory between them is achieved militarily, not verbally 😂
The Sultan himself went out at the head of a large campaign to Persia in the year (1045 AH - 1635 AD) and order prevailed in the armies numbering about 200 thousand soldiers. He restored discipline and the order that the Ottoman armies had in the days of Suleiman the Magnificent. The Sultan barely settled in Istanbul. Until the Safavids resumed fighting, they regained Arivan under the leadership of Shah Safi after a three-month siege, and regained the city of Tabriz along with large parts of Azerbaijan. So Murad went out with a large, well-prepared army, headed to Baghdad, and proceeded to besiege it in (8 From Rajab 1048 AH - November 15, 1638 AD) and in the besieged city there was a large garrison of 40,000 soldiers. The Iranian Shah was unable to approach the Ottoman army, and he relied on the strength of his army stationed in the city and the towers of its fortified castle, but that was of no avail, and the city fell. After a siege that lasted thirty-nine days and intense and violent fighting, on (Shaban 18, 1048 AH - December 25, 1638 AD), the city returned to the Ottoman Empire after remaining in the hands of the Safavids for fifteen years.
