Man, every time I have conversation with random person on the beach they ask “ how do you enjoy those seadoos?” I go “yeah I really enjoy those jet skis” the funniest part is people think I’m offended or something, I have to admit, Seadoo made a terrific job promoting brand cause everyone calls PWCs a Seadoo.
Grammar is good... Its the first step in the trivium truth discovery method, and we all want to be on the side of truth, so, yes, get the grammar down first. Well done, and thank you as well. I appreciate truth. 😉👍
Ask any Kid standing on the shoreline looking at that cool thing on the water what it is… they would say it’s a JetSki. Let’s not complicate things for the next generation of enthusiasts.
The true water test of this argument, is when someone says the word "Jetski referring to the activity but then moans when referring to a craft. They say jetski can't be used to describe a Sea-Doo or Yamaha. To which I say: when you say to your buddies, "Let’s go out for the weekend Jetsking," are you only referring to Kawasakis? They soon realize how silly the argument is. "Jetsking", unfortunately for Kawasaki, who owns the original trademark, is a general term that best describes the activity on the water. Nobody says "I'm going PWCing" or "I'm going Sea-Dooing" or "Yamaha-ing," and no one, in my opinion, really refers to a Yamaha as a WaveRunner more than calling it a Jetski. You do make a fair point about the way you write it. I have started writing "Sea-Doo," and it seems to get better search SEO than "Seadoo," so I understand your point about the correct way to write "Jet Ski."
Your analogies are off. Nobody says they are going Yamahaing or Sea Dooing or Kawasakiing. Sea Doo people should say they are going Sea Dooing. (Saying that might make people stop buying them so much!) Yamaha people can go Waverunning. (Not too bad) I go JetSkiing on watercraft that say JetSki on the side. You don't say Ford Camaro or Chevy Mustang. Kawasaki does a great job of naming products. Ninja, Mule and JetSki defined their market segments. Unfortunately Kawi then sits back and lets others run away with the segment! I think the new Angler is a great name also. Unfortunately they were late to the game on that one.
Regardless of brand, I call them all “ski’s”
Thanks for clearing it up.

We use the term Kleenex and Band-Aid to describe all brands. We call all sparkling wine Champagne. Even Sea Doo is often used to describe all PWC's
I try to call something by its correct name because I’m ocd 😅

I want anyone who calls a SeaDoo or Yamaha a JetSki, to go to a Harley gang and call them all Hondas. Please.
lol
Well said!
Funny. Worthy convo, perhaps not but still funny😂

Correct,
It's a boatercycle.
Skil saw, sawzall, band aid… keep it going….
PWC... Kawasaki is to jet ski what Yamaha is to wave.... Whatever and superjet..
