most important thing is to mix this defensive play up with blitzes. otherwise routes would get open, and big scramble plays, great video.

Great tip but all i face in h2h or weekend league is the the same singleback tight slots run scheme from. Ir 3 TE hb dive. Madden 18 has turned into run Forrest run. Copy and paste players

te angle , split close hb wheel , stretch runs , hb wham . everybody playbook in madden smh 🤦🏾♂️. oh yeah teams used : Falcons , seahawks
Runs mixed with quick Slants over the middle inside WR N Outside WR SLANTS so u have that separation between slants making that MLB pick a guy n have middle Wr run a Bomb or Flag/Corner route to Draw defenders n u can even add a short hook route with ur RB in the middle n giving u another read + mix runs up the middle & also HB screens do well cuz ur line n WR can get out in front to block especially with the D having that many deep zones
EDIT: Also if u have a QB who can Scramble & run that will help u against this D cuz there is nobody to account for the QB
Whenever I do this I hb based or the qb scrambles on me all game. Just tough to sit back like this all game imo. I understand to mix in pressures occasionally. I just can't stand how op bunch is and how everyone runs it

How well does this stop the run?
One massive flaw with this play, alot of times theres no pressure. If they sit in the pocket for a minute the coverage breaks and they get easy yards.

The only offense I struggle with defending against is the Patriots. It's not even fair. They have like 4 good wide receivers and 2 running backs that can catch. Everytime I cover one route the player will just throw to the flats with ther running back or a short route to their wide receiver. What do I do to stop that?

u need to do a couple vids explaining cover 2 and cover 3 cause everytime I play someone they find a way to cover absolutely everything whether im bunch, spread, run, pass, pa, and yet I try the same thing and it doesn't work.

That's nice if you can get it in, but it's tough to get all those adjustments done in time. A lot of the time you don't have the time. You got any suggestions for a defense that is good against the drag/flat and the corner without having to do the hard flats manually?

Hey Eric great video it made 10x better made it too all madden mut 1st team but I’m noticing I have no pass rush and can’t stop run but all over pass . Yo E....this is good coverage BUT what I'm having trouble with is people who buy time and WRs get open off of broken plays...what do you do about that? Super frustrating
6:07 all u have to do is put RB in a Streak and leave that small post route with A and then put B on a slant and you'll have to choose between the slant and small post route bc your the only person in the middle
But if that happened ig you could take one of the linebackers you put on a hard flat and put him on a mid read to cover the slant while you usered the small post route 🤔
Make a video about how to stop 4th and long. It happens to me far too much where my opponent gets no yards but on 4th down they get it damn near everytime. Its so frustrating
Hunter Thomas run a cover 3 or cover 4 with cloud flats. Eleven just using this Tampa 2 with the MLB in a deep blue would stop deep stuff, just don’t put the hard flats. You probably run the same defense all game and they just wait until 4th down to pull out the play that beats your coverage. You need to mix up your defense

Double tight ends seem routes kills this defense. Linebacker can’t cover both
I run something similar to this but I don’t put people into hard flats instead I keep the guy blitzing and keep the guy in the hook curl so that if I miss something with my user then I can have backup and I can usually read if they are going to go over the top or underneath because of what they did in the game or just the down and distance like 3rd and 5-10 clouds 3rd and 1-5 hard and also on first cloud and second hard or cloud same read as 3rd down

+j beat it really just comes down to repetition. It's muscle memory. The more you do it the faster you get.
Cool... unfortunately my online opponent isn't going to wait 30 seconds everytime for me to do all these changes... I don't have time to toggle between 4 different defenders dude. Give me a break

Whats the best 3-4 set play to shut down the cpu? I dont play online at all
I run cover 4 drop if the CPU has less than 3 WRs. If the CPU has 3 or more I run 2-4-5 double A gap mid blitz. Bring the safeties down in front of whoever they are manned up on. If its the TE bring them down to about standard LB depth and a step inside the TE, if its the RB bring them down to standard LB depth and face up with the RB. I user one of the safeties so in case they run I can shoot the gap, and if it looks like a 4 verts formation I'll user the TE to make sure I take away that crosser. You'll get a ton of sacks. If its in a franchise you pretty much guarantee the LB that comes free on mid blitz will win DPOY.
Is there a quicker way to set this up? In most online games I don't have enough time to set it up before the ball is snapped.
+Nick Baskerville only thing you can do is practice getting quicker. It's crucial to having success on defense.

Practice man. I can set it up before the offense gets set. You just have to practice making your adjustments quickly.

It aligns the defense to look the same every play presnap.
