Thanks for doing this--it was a joy to watch your reactions and also to receive your positive feedback! We're woefully behind on part 3 but hope to make it happen at some point :)
I’m so glad you were turned on to these. Simon is just an incredible arranger. Each one was done perfectly. I love everything they do. They must have had so much fun doing this. Thanks!
I marched drum corps (snare drum) but gained a love for rich jazz harmonies and I loved every artist, group and arranger presented! ALL were accurately done! Thank you Accent!! Another great inspirational arranger that comes to mind because our church choir director where I sing tenor really likes the talents of Dan Forrest! He would be fun to hear, Accents!!
Wow, this was something! Thanks, Jeff and friend, for putting this group on my radar. They are incredible! And to Jeff for sharing his mind being blown by that - mine was too 🔥 When the speaker finally says: “Thanks for watching,” all I could think of was: “Thanks for giving us this PERFECT vocal journey man.” How long would it’ve taken them to come up with all these arrangements, and then record them so flawlessly?! I too will be watching this over and over again ☺️ Thank you 🙏
5:10 There was a point in time, several years ago, where I listened to Pentatonix every day for like a year, couldn’t get enough of them!! 🤩💖 I think that’s also how I discovered Voces8 haha, it was somewhere during that “epoch” haha! ✨
Yes! Yes! Yes! Loved this!!!🥳😄😍🤩👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃 And The Real Group - a big space in my heart, I have Loved listening to them for many years now and they are soooo great, entertaining and funny live!❤️🥹🥰🥰 And Take 6!!🥰 And then Pentatonics - they really floored me from the very beginning!🥳🤯🥰 Oh, loved your reaction when we got to the Queen part😉😄🫶🏼👍🏼. ❤ Wooooow! Each one so rich and so beautiful. Sigh.... Wouldnt it be interesting, since other childhood songs use the same melody, ( ABC's, Ba ba Black Sheep) to arrang each in the style that infused an emotional response based on the lyrics? 😅 I'm saving your reaction and the original links for sure. Thank you and thanks to the person who recommended it.💫💖
It's so hard to choose when the videos are short -- trust us, we have lots and lots of influences including those you mention! We just happened to choose the ones that are most directly tied to our own arranging styles as a group. But yes, there are so many more -- Swingles, Les Doubles Six, Four Freshmen, Beach Boys, Beatles, Boyz II Men, Breath of Life Quartet, Mel-Tones, Pied Pipers, Rockapella, Four Tops, New York Voices, Manhattan Transfer...the list is pretty endless...
That was *BRILLIANT.* I'll recommend this to a Pentatonix and Jacob Collier fan. AFAIK, All of Colliers DJesse vol 4 songs include his audience choirs (he said about 150,000 voices). Eg. Collier's short _The Audience Choirs of Little Blue 🌀_ th-cam.com/users/shortsE1JKr3zNqgw Jacob Collier made compilations of him harmonising with snippets of music created by Patreons. Kevin Olusola, Pentatonix's beatboxer, starts the 2nd collection _Jacob Collier's __#IHarmU__ Vol. 2_ th-cam.com/video/nzHF225ibak/w-d-xo.html I'm fond of the lovely "Twinkle Twinkle" with Soléy May at 2m:15s: th-cam.com/video/nzHF225ibak/w-d-xo.html?t=135 Best Wishes. ☮

Where is Manhattan Transfer and The New York Voices?
Ohhhh wow! Thoroughly enjoyed this! Jeff, can you do Eric Whitacre - Sleep, please!
❤
Cannot believe he omitted The Swingles/Swingle Singers or any DooWop group. Swingles have influenced so many groups, including The Real Group.
Part 3?! 😃
