Newby Player and you're telling me you never forget things after a week? I have to constantly refresh myself with mangas im reading by reading the last chapter. With anime's with as much detail as FMA you are definitely going to forget a lot of small details if you watch it without watching episodes twice or watching it faster then once a week.
If the details are really important they usually come back up later anyways. I was just referring to everyone saying they need to watch 2 a week when they really don't because FMA:B, like every other show, only released one episode a week when airing 👍 ✌

Okay to clarify the symbol on izumi's chest and on Edward's back is the Flamel's cross, it's an extremely important symbol as Flamel used it often whendiscussing his theory of the philosopher's Stone. If I'm not mistaken in means something alone the lines of "fixing of the volatile" a important step in making the stone. The symbol on the Sins, such as lust, is the ouroboros again a very important symbol in alchemic culture but it has a bit more of a philosophical meaning. The ouroboros represents human self-destruction how if humanity does not take proper action we are doomed to kill ourselves. The idea of history repeats for those who do not learn it, is a good example of the ouroboros.
I loved this series so much when it was put on Netflix. It opened up the genre of Anime to me passed the 80-90s popular DBZ, Sailor Moon, Pokémon, and YuYu Hakusho. I can't wait until all of the exposition is over with! I can tell you all are already so immersed in the world of FMA but oh maaaaaan

FMA is just a masterfully crafted story about People vs Power. Izumi is someone who is incredibly strong, but all she ever wanted was a family. She could have been a famous alchemist, but instead anytime people ask her who she is she just calls herself a housewife. The tragic irony of having a still birth alone...but then to try to use her power to bring it back, only to lose the ability to ever have children again? As the narrator says in the intro, "for what could equal the cost of a human soul?" And then for a woman who lost her ability to ever have children to find Ed and Al, two kids who had lost their mother....it's just beautiful.
fun fact: Bradley is not even called 'Führer' in the german version of Brotherhood. It was so interesting to me when I watched the english version and found out they call him Führer.

The video game industry wasn't allowed to use that clause as an cxeption for whatever reason but even that has changed. Man I've seen this FMA:Brotherhood 3 times and it still makes me tear up.
