    I'm still grandfathered on an unlimited Simple Choice plan, so I'm sticking with that

    As a truck driver, I found the hotspot addition helpful coming from Magenta Max to Go5G Plus, especially with no cost difference. I do think what they did with the Military plan was quite dirty honestly…

    For me it was only $6 more total per month from Magenta Max for all of my lines. Which to me is worth it. For just ONE iPhone 14 I get $830 off with trade in of an old iPhone 7 with the new plan. During that 2 years of credits the new plan only cost me $144 more for 2 years. So deff worth it for some people. But standard plans with no insider discount its most likely not worth it.

    I'm glad a content creator addressed this.. I have the Magenta Max Mil plan, & told the T-Mo rep that this "great new plan" is crap, and they know it, it's a money grab, & told them the iP13 pro was the last phone I will ever buy from them. 14+yrs, 4 lines+ spouse's apple watch. I went thru it all, & there is NO benefit to this plan for my household..

    Good video J. I worked for T-Mobile when they went away from the 2 year contracts and went contract free. T-Mobile changed their plans I think 3 times during my 3 year tenure there. Usually, the plan changes offered more or have better flexibility. I also live in a border city and that ability to work in Mexico is clutch for a ton of our customers. I do believe that the Go5G plans are a bit of a money grab. We do also have to consider inflation. I would recommend most people stay on their Magenta plan unless they need more hotspot or international data. My question is if they still offer Jump On Demand for new customers.

    Excellent points J. Really needed to hear those points from that angle because I was considering up-grading to Tmobiles new plans. I'm going to take your advice and get un-locked devices and keep my current plan ! To many re-sellers of devices these days where you can get better deals than through the carrier anyways !

    Thank you for this review! Well done...we think alike!
    They try to get you with extra gigabites, but as military, you should have a big discount on all 3 plans! Escalate to corporate retention and demand maximum discount for your service! As a 55 Plus, the rate is lower. It is also offered to First Responders.
    I notice that I depend on the ambient wifi whereever I am in order to enjoy the 5G. In Connecticut we have random dead spots in the countryside etc...

    I did the math when getting the 13 pro but needing to switch to magenta max for higher trade in credit. At the end of the EIP, you essentially pay the same for the phone as if you just financed without a trade in. They are just shifting the money so instead you pay for it through the plan. I still got it, but as soon as eip is over, I am jumping to a cheaper plan

    Thanks for the video. We always by our phone outright and we own I’ve been in this predicament trying to decide on changing or not. We pay 100 even for four lines on the military magenta. My only question was if the Internet is $240 less a year if you’re on the go 5G and have internet and it works for you then you upgrade for free

    We are on regular Magenta and have discount for auto pay, hometown discount, and a couple free lines I think. I checked on switching to the new Go5G plan just for the upgrade perk and it was going to cost over $100/month. Told we would lose out discount for hometown and I think the free line so I said no thanks. When the new iPhones come out I might see about switching us to Att or Verizon since T-Mobile doesn’t give deals to all its customers for trade ins.

    I agree J, as a long time T-mobile customer I feel some sort of way that Tmobile offers New Device in Two with the new plans but says " For New & Existing Customers" ! Where because I'm an existing customer and I dont get that perk unless I upgrade plans. T-mobile is becoming " The Carrier " instead of remaining "The Un-Carrier"

    I regretted when I moved off the simple choice plan to magenta max I got a few extra benefits but I promised myself I wasn’t going to do it again. I told the people on my plan that I was not going to be moving plans and that they would probably not be getting the best device promos going forward. So it’s up to them on what they want to do in that regard

    Magenta offers Up to 4K streaming with Max Up data which is an additional charge if you have it already it would put you at the same cost as the new Go5G plans. Those plans can get up to 720p without any additional charges. Now I will say if you travel to Mexico or Canada often that the new plans do offer slower speeds. Definitely stick with your original plan.

    • @snipesentertainment9037
      @snipesentertainment9037 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't realize the difference of streaming when I switched to Go 5G because streaming on a phone is different from streaming on tv. Essentially, you're trading the ability to stream in 4k for more hotspot for more money.

    Hey sir, as an insider in this particular industry I would like to give you the real scoop. The value build in the data package is pretty much just fluff to fill conversational gaps. The MAJOR difference between go5g and Magenta is they you get much higher values for trade in devices. T mobile is currently giving $830 trade in value for iPhone xr and up. You are literally paying full retail for phones when you could pay 0 if you simply financed them at a 0% apr.
    Honestly man, the information your putting out isn't 100% accurate

  • @cwp4eva
    @cwp4eva ปีที่แล้ว

    When I switched from the one plan to mag max it was only 20 bucks more a month so i did it because of the phone deals and a little more with benefits. But when I compared the go5g plus to mag max .. not much of a difference so staying with my mag max. Plus when i compared mag max to goplus it would go from 170 (4 lines) to 220? Thats on the app but the website says only 185? Chatted with t rep and they didnt know either. Gonna miss out on the some phone deals maybe but not worth it- just gonna go through apple from now on. Oh, all 4 phones are paid and unlocked.

    I've got 5 lines and next month I'm going to be losing my Auto pay discount. That's going to cost me a extra $25 next month. No way will I give them my checking account number or debit card because of data breaches. When I left AT&T I was less than $25 in taxes. I think I will pay a visit to AT&T to get new prices on their plans
