21:33 The natural colour of teeth is slightly yellow-tinted. Certain foods and drinks (wine, tea, coffee etc.) will make them darker. It's natural. Smoking of course colours them as well. Natural teeth are never sparkling white. The kind of white teeth you see on USAmericans especially is not natural. Nobody naturally has teeth that white and it's damaging the enamel to whiten them.
Yea agree. I have quite off white teeth and they've always been like this since adult teeth came through and I look after my teeth. The dentist said my teeth are healthy and the only I'd be able to get them whiter is professional whitening (I can't afford). Its an insecurity of mine as I wonder if people think I dont look after my teeth.
Its not always damaging, a low % of hydrogen peroxide used semi-regularly will whiten (and clean) the teeth without enamel damage. A lot of the whitening strips and special toothpaste you buy though is definitely damaging, either the hp % is too high, or recommended usage is too often, or theyre using a different whitening ingredient which will damage.
@grenades4494 The kind of whitening needed to get unnaturally white teeth is damaging. It's fine to use whitening that is just clearing the discoloration from food and drinks, but whitening that actually changes the natural colour of the tooth is different.
@@jaquinicole2936 Please don't worry about the colour of your teeth. Literally no one naturally has sparkling white teeth. If you want sparkling white teeth like that, then getting veneers is better for your teeth than whitening them to a point that they are unnaturally white.
It’s weird how white teeth became the norm. I took medication way back that turned all my teeth yellow, despite having good dental hygiene. Like body hair it’s an aesthetic I will never understand.
5:00 I have dyspraxia, which is a condition which can seriously mess with the concept of time. Its not a common condition but the possibility still exists
This is so real. One second I think I have time the next I double check the clock to find out I’m late. Or, I think I have no time and I’m an hour early 😭🫠
dont want to sound rude, just curious, wouldnt setting reminders and alarms solve this? I have adhd and thats what i have to do to remember anything, my calendar is my best friend lol
@hulacat1555 Things to consider though. Dyspraxia causes memory loss. And people with it can often completely lose track of where they are and what they're doing in an instant. Kind of like ADHD turned to 11 in that respect. You could hear an alarm go off and immediately forget you had done. You could completely forget you ever had a calander to check, and that's like properly forget, there's no reason in your mind to go look for it. You can even sit there sure you have to do something, and never stand a chance of recalling the information you need. Or even where that information could be gathered from. Instead just bringing up a bunch of disjointed memories from your entire past. With no ability to contextualise how old any of them are, or how they even chronologically fit together. Obviously different people are effected in these ways by different amounts. But then you also need to consider the way this affects your every day experience, it's very easy to become disassociated. Not everyone will. But now imagine you do infact get an alarm and know what it means. But now your struggling because it feels like your dreaming that, and it's not real. Furthermore it's just getting in the way of what you're currently doing. There's a fair few condition out there I can think of. That can make the idea of keeping a schedule an incredible uphill climb. Even when not extreme cases like the ones I've mentioned above.
12:50 as someone with long ass legs that are already a pain when flying, if someone tries to recline in front of me, it crushes my knees and hurts the entire time. It also makes it difficult to get in and out of the seat because, again, there is nowhere for my legs. The seat being closer to my face isn't the problem, it's the fact that I'm then in pain for however many hours as my legs are forced into a weird position and being crushed
Gotta disagree with reclining seats. If it’s a long flight (say trans Atlantic) then there is generally movies. By reclining you’re basically stopping the person from behind you from watching their movie or using their tray table. If there’s no one behind you or they aren’t using their table more power to you, but I think it’s a bit annoying
I feel like you should only be allowed to recline your seat once the lights dim on an overnight flight... Yes its annoying for the person behind you but... Its time to mfing sleep, not watch movies
As a kid I had just gotten food, man in front reclined his seat, demolishing my food and I had to sit in my food and drink in lap for a 10 hour flight... despite asking him to let me eat food first before he reclined... (he had his seat reclined before the food got their but put it back when he got his food as to the flight attendants request, she turned around and it went back down... he wasn’t even leaning back he sat up hunched over eating his food 🥺)
@@jamessmithson-br7rmI mean a table technically works even if it’s upside down! It’s gravity’s fault we all cling to the surface of the earth. Your voice box is still able to scream for help if I submerge you under water and drown you. A lot of things still technically work in weird situations.
i feel like it's 100% possible to have a healthy relationship online, and they're not hurting anyone so why stop them from being happy? some people have found their life partners online who live across the world and they one day move in together and have a family. and personally i think its super sweet
Agreed, that one felt the guy was just trying to gatekeep what it means to be in a relationship for some weird reason. The only thing that matters in a relationship is the mutual feeling the ones involved have for each other, their intentions and if they desire each other's company. By that dude's weird ass argument you could argue just the same that it isn't possible to even have friends if you only know them online.
This!!! Like I’m aroace and don’t care anyway, but I don’t see why an online relationship wouldn’t be a “real” one? You can still get to know someone online - if anything, you’d get to know them *better* because there’s less pressure and it’s easier to open up. The only difference I can see is that there’d be no physical contact/intimacy, but that’s such a ridiculous thing to choose as a marker of a “real” relationship anyway.
Just in time for me to start cooking, thanks George! 4:44 I will be that guy though and say that sometimes things like ADHD can make time management very difficult. I get both sides of the argument because people being late constantly is frustrating, but with some people it isn’t always just failure to be organised, it’s an actual feature of neurodivergence.
It may be harsh but although it's never somebody's fault that they born neurodivergent, with ADHD or any other handicaps, it's they responsibility to deal (within feasibility oc) with the effects. Obviously arrangements need to be done to try to reduce the load of a person's disability, but still. If you have difficulties with time, then prepare a schedule, put in alarms, multiple if that doesn't suffice.
@aWildJellieAppeared I totally agree, I'm autistic and have a degree of 'time blindness'. I'm often late, but I still do consider it to be my fault. However, I can fully understand how people in a different place on the spectrum, or those with ADHD, OCD or other conditions that may adversely effect executive function, may struggle.
Hardly disagree. _I_ have a condition which makes it harder, if not borderline impossible, to be on time all the times, a condition that's medically recognized and all. _YOU_ are just a jackass who can't stand people being 5 minutes late even when they have a condition or a problem and you just always assume it's bad planning. It's a YOU problem, not mine
So true. Having made some posts of actual unpopular opinions, they're downvoted more than upvoted. These posts are not unpopular and the comments are even agreeing with these posts. No one agreed with my posts.
12:02 This guy is so close to recognizing the real and sensible solution: There should be a legal mandate on how little leg room one has while seated (and if there is, increase it). Companies try to maximize profit by shoving as many people as possible into a single plane and it's becoming a real issue. But he's thinking small, and is instead placing the blame on his fellow passenger instead of the big wigs counting their money thinking they're so gracious for even allowing us to recline at all.
I absolutely believe that online relationships can be real I've met so many people who have gotten married who met their spouse living in completely other states or completely other countries through the internet and oftentimes didn't meet each other in person until multiple years into the relationship
same me and my bf literally met during 2020, but called constantly till we could meet. now we're living together, with plans to marry. I do think there's a lot of relationships online that BARELY count as dating. I've seen it where people barely talk to their "partners" or never call them, and only text. 'nd Its like,, are you even sure you're dating a real person at that point. I might be inclined to call those fake relationships. But people can deff put the effort in to make a relationship real even if they've never met before.
My dog I adopted almost 8 years ago (he was 8 years old when I adopted him so he wasn't young), just couldn't walk anymore. He had a back leg that had arthritis and just got worse in the end, but was doing okay with 3 legs and medications, so I wasn't too worried. Then it was like the cold weather hit him and both back legs stopped working for him and he was pooping all over himself and even me sometimes. I knew he was suffering, so I gave him a lot of extra cuddles and love in his last week with me. It'll be two months on the 22nd and I still feel that loss. But I didn't spare any cost with him, he still has a place in my living room where his ashes sit with his paw impressions and collar. I couldn't imagine not taking care of my dog when he'd done so so much for me in those near 8 years. I now have brought home another boy from the shelter to give my love to like I did before.
@Kero-zc5tc Flagged in secondary school. I'm also dyspraxic with Tourette Syndrome which adds to the trouble. Let's just say numbers & executive function are 2 areas in which I'm lacking.
Wow! Is that really a thing? I am 67 years old and have never been able to calculate anything mathematical. Would have no idea if I even got the right change in a shop. I know I'm not dumb because I have a masters degree, but can't do maths and struggle to tell the time on an analogue clock. I can't visualise descriptions of size (when online shopping) without getting out a ruler! LOL
You see those viral posts of maths homework being marked wrong because it was 3x5 instead of 5x3, or they didn't count the boxes or whatever other common core nonsense is taught. The smart students feel they are being held back and can't advance beyond, and the struggling students feel they can't understand it, and then how are they going to understand it later? When teachers teach for the test, not only do you not understand what you are doing, but you'll also struggle on standardised tests later. A big part of the dislike towards maths is being discourage by the way it is taught.
This also gets into the difference between knowing and understanding. You can know very advanced things, and be able to use them to get results, but not really understand them, which can bite you when you need to handle complex problems or novel situations.
@12.50 I'm also tall and don't recline my seat, it's difficult for George to understand what it's like when someone reclines on him to the same extent. It's basically saying "I don't like it when it's done top me so I won't do it to other people".
18:15 my husband is 5ft 7, I'm 5ft 11. There was never an issue with his height. He's an amazing man and I honestly couldn't care less about his height
It's definitely more a dating app problem. In real life we get to know people. Dating apps, however, are designed to promote rapid and superficial decision making.
@seigeengine I get that, I totally understand that dating apps are toxic as hell, but ironically, we met on a dating app 😅 I know my height makes me unattractive to some men, I just don't see how a short guy is unattractive just because he's short. I probably wouldn't date anyone under 5ft but that's purely because I can only imagine the back pain I'd get from kissing them
@seigeengine I've been rejected based on my height before, I would say it's less common than a man being rejected based on height but it does definitely happen
Honestly I have a "unpopular opinion" come back at the dog thing. A large and I mean very large number of dogs end up years in shitty dog shelters just doing a ton of nothing. If you can't afford major medical bills and you'll have to put it down eventually then go and get a dog. That dog deserves to have the love and care of people and a family, it wants to be your companion and it will struggle with you. Don't let yourselves get stopped by these pretentious nonces who think that you don't deserve a dog unless you can afford to replace it's entire skeleton with adamantium and feed it Gordon Ramsey's meal 5 times a day and it ends up alone for a few hours without anyone around. There's tons and tons of "old" and "ugly" dogs who've been in shelters for ages and if they get to live even just 3 years with you it's going to be the happiest they'll ever get to be. A life lived in a somewhat neglectful or not perfect environment is better than a life lived in small cages with trash kibble meals and dirty water.
21:30 the yellow teeth thing, I think the person making the post just did so really badly. I think they meant slight discolouration and staining, not having p1ss yellow teeth. At least that’s what I hope they mean, though it confuses me cause outside of social media that’s not a very big thing, I’m guessing they just need to get offline.
That's just obvious, and George and you are being absurd. Teeth whitening is quite common in the US, so there's a significant segment of the population whose teeth are unnaturally white.
Insane that people think online relationships arent relationships, like i understand not meeting someone in person leaves out a certain amount of information about the person that might decide whether or not you want to be in a relationship with them, but like that exists for every major step in a relationship
There's a massive difference between online contact and actual in-person contact. Even as someone who has lived almost my entire life online, it's a very faint shadow of in person contact or experience. That said, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's not a relationship.
@JF1908x define meet, if you need to see someone to meet them do blind people meet people? If you need to talk to them in person do deaf people meet people? Why does "meet" have to mean in person
It is only half or even less of a relationship, because you're not there in person. Thats like saying: "I fought in a war once", but you were sitting in your room, playing Call of Duty. I don't know how old you are, but I thought the same, before I had my first real relationship at 15.
I find the relationship opinion weird, who are you to decide if two people you don't know are in a relationship or not? It feels like the consent meme, "is there someone you haven't asked?"
Ik these are unpopular for a reason but gotta hard disagree to the "you're not in a relationship" one. Friendships and relationships have very, very different dynamics and requirements, so being in love with someone doesn't just get negated due to being long distance lmao My partner lives in the Netherlands, I _would_ have seen him irl but due to Trans Reasons he's not gotten his passport updated yet so he was unable to come over to the US. Despite that it is very much still a relationship, the fact we haven't seen each other is out of both of our power and is the fault of capitalism (costs of travel) and bureaucracy (the hassle of travel and paperwork) as opposed to being proof that our relationship isn't valid or whatever. Travel is messy for no reason
I'm sort of in the middle. The issue is virtual contact is not at all equivalent to in-person socialization, contact, intimacy, etc. I wouldn't call it not a relationship, but... I wouldn't say it's really a full relationship either.
@@seigeengine as someone in a online relationship myself i would say its more like a barrier for the relationship, i wouldnt say its not a "full" relationship, i would say its one thats harder and has a lot more hurdles to overcome, you could say its a difficult or hard relationship.
12:52 Extra point regarding this guy: I’m autistic and struggle with personal space. The back of the seat in front of me is close enough. I don’t want any part of it to get any closer or I will be overwhelmed the entire flight. Maybe they should add a feature for people like me where you can book a seat with the seat in front not having a recline function, and people who don’t need to recline can book those seats, having been told the seat doesn’t recline, and the non reclining seats could be cheaper? Idk just an idea
I cannot comprehend the mindset that online relationships arent real relationships ideology, maybe thats because im a person whos almost exclusive dated that way but the argument is always that it isnt real because they havent met. Is the idea that people cant create deep meaningful connections online the idea? is it that you cant trust the other person? I think if you date online and you never call or see them and they always make excuses as to why they cant thats SUS and probably not worth it but if your regularly hang out with them and form a romantic connection i dont see how that isnt considered vaild? i also find that even more insane that OP was like friends sure but partners no and im like ?? do you just think they were lying? how could you decide to downgrade their meaning to each other- The small business owner def seems like a bad experience- most ive known are just regular people with a gen passion for what they do and create and i can only imagine people actually that way if they dont personally create those products and are like dropshippers or something. Most small business owners i know arent obsessed with their business and if they are its not in a way to leverage their friendships its bc their business is failing and they are reaching out to friends/moots to work out how to fix things.
But in reality most people sit in traffic and only ever get to 40mph because of it and the vast majority of people will never go to autobahn or do track days … I used to be a biker , nearly died because of it and I was sat in hospital and came to the conclusion it’s absolute madness they allow it considering most of the time you are driving at 30nph
@@djdeemz7651 I was a trainee Driving Instructor and can agree, if you are buying a high performance car you MUST go on a high speed training course. Bikers have a step system for their license here in the UK and it means a 17 year old cant jump on a 200mph+ bike.
He also read something about top speed and decided to agree with it after calling acceleration (0-60/0-62) stupid. He's fkn stupid lmao sound donny tho
@@Para2normal I think there should be training with every car sold or transferred where the insurance company recognises a jump in power. I mean, being dead is rather permanent, todays cars have loads of power v 20 years ago. I saw a 21 year old saying their car felt underpowered and it had 450bhp that is nuts to someone who first drove in 1993! First car i was allowed to drive had 80bhp! Now my car is just under 300bhp and is plenty fast enough
About the seat reclining, I had a 14-hour flight last year where I sat at the very back, so I couldn’t recline my seat but the one in front did all the way back. That was horrible. My knee felt worse than when I shattered it
fun fact! vets are paid by companies in commissions to recommend their products to owners that are mid at best and not the most optimal for animals. Vets make a decent amount of their money that way :)
The same happens with actual doctors, at least in some places. That said, vet quality varies a lot. Some are genuinely great, while others... well, let's say being a vet is a great job for an animal abuser.
Not in all countries. Many have regulations that prevent just that. Its also something many people believe about the industry, without it actually being true.
Tbh I think it really depends on the vet/clinic. Where I work the vets make production and they still do shit for free all the time when people can't pay. We've had new medication come in that's more expensive and if the docs decide it doesn't work as well as they'd like, we stop using it. The place I work is a privately owned clinic tho so that probably helps.
1:38 correct me if i'm wrong, but my phyiscs teacher told me why this was the case. if a car goes up to 160mph or however high, it mandates powerful brakes, meaning that while pretty much nobody will go that fast, the brakes will work faster and be more durable. However, if you cap cars to 100mph, the brakes will be designed work slower and be weaker as it doesn't have to withstand the potential speeds of anything above 100mph, meaning it poses a higher risk and could potentially cause more accidents. Again, i don't know if this is correct and i don't know, if this is the case, why companies can't find a way to engineer brakes to be powerful no matter the maximum speed.
As someone with ADHD I heavily disagree with the lateness one, I'm not gonna yap or call anyone ableist because it's something you really do have to experience to understand
On the cars: One thing is the top speed, and another is the acceleration. They quote acceleration as 0-60 time. Very few people will actually max that out but the stated time is a measure of how good its acceleration is, which is a useful consideration. Think about entering a busy roundabout or overtaking on a single carriageway; acceleration is important, even if you're not literally taking it from 0 to 60. As for the top speed: I kind of agree, but you want cars that can go comfortably at 70-80 mph. To be able to cruise comfortably at that speed, they're going to have a top speed that is significantly higher than that, unless you think they should be electronically limited like HGVs.
It's of some importance in that very bad acceleration is an issue, but it's also bad for acceleration to be too high, as that makes handling worse and leads to accelerated wear on both the vehicle and roads. It's also important to consider a car maybe can go 100 mph, but can it do that when loaded up with passengers or cargo? What about after ten years of wear? It's beneficial for things to leave some cream.
My vet is so good about gently recognizing that not everything is affordable, and communicating that she’s not judging, and gives carefully explained options. We recently adopted our neighbor’s outdoor cat when my neighbor went into hospice care (he won’t come back, his children are already preparing his house to sell). He was very worried about leaving his cat. It was skin and bones when we started feeding it and it started sleeping on our porch in a little bed I made him. After 6 weeks of feeding it, it was still skin and bones. Luckily, I made close enough friends with the little guy that soon it was easy to scoop him up and take him to the vet. Turns out has the feline form of HIV. My vet said there’s some tests and treatments that could be done, but that she understands he’s an outdoor cat we kindly started taking care of. I’m quite attached to him already but my husband was always warning me not to fall for him, because the lives of outdoor cats are risky as it is. Our vet suggested it’s more of a “keeping him comfortable and loved” kind of situation. He could last another year or more, or not last the winter. I have a heated outdoor bed for him now, surrounded by outdoor blankets, and a heated insulated outdoor cathouse as well for even colder times. If we have another hard freeze in January (this is Texas, it’s becoming regular) I’ll bring him inside in a carrier or even board him at the vet overnight. When the time comes, if he gives us the option, we’ll put him down before he suffers. He seems ok for now, just not gaining weight. No fat to keep him warm. My poor little orange cat, Arby. ❤ Our vet is wonderful. We are not letting the dying neighbor know about the “Kitty HIV”. I want him to just feel relief that his cat is cared for, so he can be at peace.
The No-Drinking thing... I've been tee-total for 10-11 years and the most INFURIATING thing is when you tell a boomer that you don't drink and they look at you just claimed to be a forklift-certified alien garden chair or something... Like, mate... it's not that rare 🤣👀🤦♂️
Weird, I have never really gotten any strange looks/questions for never drinking and my country is known for being alcoholic, personally nearly all the people I know drink to some extent. Most people say they understand, some have asked if its health related or something but nobody has never really been flabbergasted by it.
I absolutely love dogs but know for a fact my schedule and financial situation would not suit having a dog even a tiny bit. Because of this I don’t have a dog.
When I was a kid and went on an airplane, we had just gotten food and the person in front reclined his seat absolutely demolishing everything I had gotten... my father who sat next to me asked multiple times to kindly at least let me eat first but no. A flight attendant saw the uncomfortable situation and told him to put his seat back up. IT WORKED! until she turned around and the seat was once again a few centimeters away from my legs. Worst 10 hour flight ever and I don’t think I’ve ever been on an airplane since bc the social stress just imprinted on me so badly :)
some vets are absolutely evil. One time we were pretty poor, we could afford to have cats and had a vet fund but just enough for the mandatory check ups. Once my cat got bladder stones and the vet told my mom that if she didn't pay them 1400$ for a surgery, they were just going to have to put him down. My mom ended up finding out from a church friend who's husband was a vet that the surgery was about 800. They were going to kill our cat because of their greed. made my mom feel like shit too. Pisses me off to this day. cat is still alive and well and drinks lots of water now.
For flights i prefer the aisle seat because you can move to stretch your legs out, just passed any snacks/drinks easily, if you need to get up then there is no shuffling past anybody
I fully agree with the first one, my parents got out dog (who I love) in 2020. I didn't want one BC I didn't want to be left walking him and feeding him when I don't even feed and walk myself. Four years later I'm the one who walks and feeds him 🧍🏼♀️
Nah ban reclining seats. It's actually impossible for the person in front to do it because my legs are jammed against it, but that doesn't stop people trying and hurting me a lot
Reclining a seat results in your knees being forced forwards. As I am tall, there is barely enough room for my knees when the seat is in the upright position. So, I do not have the option to recline my seat, as it is not physically possible for me to do so. If the person in front reclines their seat, the top of the seat is right under my chin. So, unfortunately they cannot recline without causing me harm or at the very least, severe discomfort.
7:49 I actually used to be a firm believer that the middle seat was the best seat for many of the same reasons that the OP listed. However, when I was 17 or 18, my shoulders grew so broad that I couldn't feasibly fit between two average-size passengers, and it became a miserable experience.
Bro said I'm not an alcoholic or anything. 😢 "I go to the pub 2 or 3 times I go to the pub a week" and then "when I go to the pub I only have 2-3 pints. 5:41George is saying he doesn't drink much but he says he drinks up to roughly 9 pints a week!!!! I'm British and even I think that's too many pints!
Life hack for the MLB Baseball situation - buy a cheap baseball and keep it in your pocket. If you ever are lucky enough to catch the ball you can switch it with the ball in your pocket and look like the good person. The kod osnt going to know the difference 😅😂
Strangers who try to decide that you need to do things for their kids are the absolute worst and shouldn't have kids in the first place, but they seem to be multiply exponentially. Friends with kids who do that are sending up a red flag you should take note of. Years ago I had a friend bring his kid to my studio. His son took a liking to one of the bronze pieces I was working on at the time and he flat out asked me if his son could just have it, telling me 'he really likes it, I think it'd be really nice if you just gave it to him" while giving me an expectant 'you should do this' sort of expression. This seriously pissed me off. It was a smaller, figural piece, but it was still CAST BRONZE and not cheap, nor his to give away. I said no, I can't afford to give away pieces and reminded him that that's how I paid rent and he looked at me, admonishingly, and said 'well that's too bad, I think he'd really like to have it.' I think that even if he'd offered to pay for it after that, I'd have been disinclined to let him have it- the audacity of trying to direct me into appeasing his son was just utterly revealing though it eluded my attention at the time. Years later and he's turned into a narcissistic douche who refuses to admit he's wrong about literally anything, is married to a woman who clearly married for money, and has no friends. There's no moral here, I just like to scream into the void of youtube comment sections. Good day.
The Online Relationships one is absolutely unpopular. 5 Years into an online relationship myself, and I can say with full confidence I wouldn't wear the hoodie of an online friend the way I wear my partners. I feel like the take is based on the idea you need to have physical intimacy with someone just to be in a relationship with them but a relationship works so much better when you have the emotional intimacy as well. It might just be my personal opinion but without having met online I don't think I would know my partner as well as I do.
Everyone knows the aisle seat gets a armrest and a little extra legroom, the middle seat gets 2 armrests and the window seat gets a window and a armrest.
7:30 the way me and my girlfriend do it, and always have done it, which makes the most sense is this. Whoever asked the person out on a date pays for food, and the other person pays for drinks. The person who asked to go on a date ultimately pays more in food, but the other person doesnt feel like a freeloader and buys the drinks. Over all the dozens of dates weve been on, it averages out anyway. Im not opposed to being equals with my partner, as it should be. I just dont think theres anything wrong, as a man, to say "i took a girl out on a date and paid" when its a long term relationship. it makes me feel like a gentleman. However, if youre just shopping around and going on dates with lots of people, id say do it how i do it with my girlfriend, and whoever initiates the date pays for food.
Yes, chicken wings absolutely suck. They're messy and awkward and what little meat you actually get from them isn't worth the time and effort it takes.
I hate it when entitled mothers insist that you give their kids things, or do stuff for them. A few years ago one insisted that I give her kids a ride in my sidecar, I had just got the outfit in to position on the grid at a bike show. While I was distracted one of her monkeys climbed up the bike, breaking the oil feed pipe, so i had to do a bodge repair to get home, fortunately the show organiser removed them before I had to say anything.
14:30 what a friendship where we’ve been lovers for ~4 years now, say I love you every morning and night, have seen eachother nude before, talk every single day, and much more. Do you also do that with your friends?
14:56 Pizza and chips gets me everytime as a european hospitality worker in the uk. Mate you ordered basically bread with sauce and cheese on top but no you HAVE to have chips with it. THE BASE IS YOUR CARBS
7:43 I mentioned at work how if I'm on a date and the girl offers to pay, I will let her and my colleagues were appalled. Like I even said if I propose the date I'll default to paying, or ideally I'd be happy to go half on everything, but if she literally says "I want to pay this time" (the conversation started because one colleague was stood up but the girl offered to pay the next date) then I would let her pay, and it's her fault if she just says she wants to pay and doesn't actually want to pay. If you don't want to pay, then don't pretend you do.
Compromise for the seat reclining argument: The lever to recline your seat is locked and can only be unlocked by the person opening it from their side, or moving everyone's lever one seat back. This way, you can only recline if the person behind you is OK with it.
The "banning recline" one is objectively correct. Anyone who says they have not had a bad experience with the person in front reclining the seat is having the biggest cope of the century. I am quite tall, so people reclining their seats destroy my legs. No, you can go four hours without being slightly more comfortable.
The thing about airlines. We in the states have allowed a few large companies to control all the routes. Each airline works with the other airlines to lockdown routes so that certain airlines are the only airlines that do that route so there is no competition. This has lead to tthe fact that american airlines (all of them) can abuse the F out of its customers. They can take away pretty much any possible space, they can charge you for leg room or god forbid you have luggage so that when you get to where you are going you dont have to buy a pack of underpants and t shirts...the biggest problem though is that when your flight gets canceleed or delayed they basically just 🤷♀🤷♀🤷♀"Sucks to be you" break up the big companies. Force companies back into competition. Actually regulate how they treat not only customers but how they treat their staff.
The thing with the seats reclining is we are (again) shifting the blame from the company to the consumer. It's not about if the seats recline or not, is about the space the industry and capitalism keeps stealing away from us. Unfortunately (as in many subjects) we've all been brainwashed into blaiming the person who's also going through their issues, rather than the ones who put us there. (The whole aero industry is a joke... it used to be fun to fly, but that's another topic.) That said, and observing the reality we are in, I agree that we shouldn't recline seats. As somoene who is tall and has chronic lower back pain, that pseudo-reclining we are offered is actually one of the worst angles to have my back positioned... so no, I can't "just also recline it". But, if I don't, then my legs simply don't have the space.
I actually feel I wasted several years from age 18-22 because of the amount of time I spent partying. It seemed fun at the time but there was actually a lot of times where things devolved into chaos because there was always someone who didn't handle it well. Of course, I also had a brain tumour discovered when I was 25 and it took me 15 years to learn to cope with the consequences of the surgery needed to remove it and I'm still dealing with it today.
1:54 that is great for going up a steep hill. The cars are built for high speed, not only becaue people use them for travel, but because it means less stress on the engine when accelerating, Basically, if you are capable of running at full speed but you only walk, that means you can walk no problem, but if you were to be build only to be able to walk, it would be much more effort, While you can run, but only walk, you stress your body to like 10% of its maximum, while if you could only walk, you'd be putting 100% of your effort into that walk and get tiret / hurt. Exact same logic for cars, we can make slow ass cars, but they need the high max speed to for example, climb hills.
I thought the same about fast cars (actually I hate all cars but) until it was explained to me that the faster a car can go, the more efficiently it will perform at regular speeds. fair enough
I agree with the reclining one, like what if you are eating, or have your device up on the tray or seat? How is reclining more comfortable? (Last one might be controversial)
Going dutch is not the same as splitting the bill. It means you pay for your own shit as opposed to splitting the bill evenly when your orders may not have been equal in price.

That’s the airlines problem to deal with if they poorly design their seats
As a kid I had just gotten food, man in front reclined his seat, demolishing my food and I had to sit in my food and drink in lap for a 10 hour flight... despite asking him to let me eat food first before he reclined... (he had his seat reclined before the food got their but put it back when he got his food as to the flight attendants request, she turned around and it went back down... he wasn’t even leaning back he sat up hunched over eating his food 🥺)
The trays are usually designed to work even if the seat is reclined… same with the TV screen 😅

My dog I adopted almost 8 years ago (he was 8 years old when I adopted him so he wasn't young), just couldn't walk anymore.

OP is definitely ableist
@@planetaryg0 Or hasn't dealt with ppl who struggle with it for longer than an hour
Oh my god you people can't do anything
All cars are electronically limited

Our vet is wonderful. We are not letting the dying neighbor know about the “Kitty HIV”. I want him to just feel relief that his cat is cared for, so he can be at peace.
Here's an unpopular opinion: We shouldn't really give an opinion on stuff we know absolutely *nothing* about 😂
as someone who has dyscalculia I totally agree with what George said about maths
Loool that random Skype call 😂😂😂😂
a 20min georgem vid is an early Christmas gift tbh
The No-Drinking thing...
I've been tee-total for 10-11 years and the most INFURIATING thing is when you tell a boomer that you don't drink and they look at you just claimed to be a forklift-certified alien garden chair or something...
Like, mate... it's not that rare 🤣👀🤦♂️
Weird, I have never really gotten any strange looks/questions for never drinking and my country is known for being alcoholic, personally nearly all the people I know drink to some extent. Most people say they understand, some have asked if its health related or something but nobody has never really been flabbergasted by it.
The last one, I used to live in a country where people still dont give a shit about animals and i can confirm, vet bills were much cheaper there.
I absolutely love dogs but know for a fact my schedule and financial situation would not suit having a dog even a tiny bit. Because of this I don’t have a dog.
The Selena call nearly took me out. 😂
A 20+ minute GeorgeM video, random Skype jumpscare, and keyboard reveal. A lot for a video on the second channel
some vets are absolutely evil.
Best thing on first date is .. pay for each other you pay theirs they pay yours .. this works for some reason
5:06 yes, that extra 5 minutes laying in bed before waking up for school is completely worth it though
That first one is the same for kids too. I hate it when people have kids and then just keep their bad habits and pass them on.
Pure maths is boring af but applied maths like in engineering when calculating something imaginable can be enjoyable
17:45 bro starts yapping, 18:35 bro stops yapping
7:49 I actually used to be a firm believer that the middle seat was the best seat for many of the same reasons that the OP listed. However, when I was 17 or 18, my shoulders grew so broad that I couldn't feasibly fit between two average-size passengers, and it became a miserable experience.
YES THE GOOD GAVEL IS BACK
Bro said I'm not an alcoholic or anything.

Good day.
(10:45) So true. Just like good films today are outliers, the good films in the past were outliers too.
I agree Wings and Drumsticks are the worst part of the chicken
As a woman, i dont care about the height unless my partner is so tall they can rest their chin on my head or vice verser.
Yeah I never understood why tall guys are supposed to be more attractive. Kissing someone so much taller is horrible.
The "banning recline" one is objectively correct. Anyone who says they have not had a bad experience with the person in front reclining the seat is having the biggest cope of the century. I am quite tall, so people reclining their seats destroy my legs. No, you can go four hours without being slightly more comfortable.
George was the club Snobs by any chance 😂
The thing about airlines. We in the states have allowed a few large companies to control all the routes. Each airline works with the other airlines to lockdown routes so that certain airlines are the only airlines that do that route so there is no competition.
This has lead to tthe fact that american airlines (all of them) can abuse the F out of its customers. They can take away pretty much any possible space, they can charge you for leg room or god forbid you have luggage so that when you get to where you are going you dont have to buy a pack of underpants and t shirts...the biggest problem though is that when your flight gets canceleed or delayed they basically just
🤷♀🤷♀🤷♀"Sucks to be you"
break up the big companies.
(The whole aero industry is a joke... it used to be fun to fly, but that's another topic.)
That said, and observing the reality we are in, I agree that we shouldn't recline seats.
As somoene who is tall and has chronic lower back pain, that pseudo-reclining we are offered is actually one of the worst angles to have my back positioned... so no, I can't "just also recline it".
But, if I don't, then my legs simply don't have the space.
Yeah, and also I don't like his logic of "it's ok because I can do the same to someone else behind me", like, that doesn't justify anything.
The cars are built for high speed, not only becaue people use them for travel, but because it means less stress on the engine when accelerating,
Basically, if you are capable of running at full speed but you only walk, that means you can walk no problem, but if you were to be build only to be able to walk, it would be much more effort,
While you can run, but only walk, you stress your body to like 10% of its maximum, while if you could only walk, you'd be putting 100% of your effort into that walk and get tiret / hurt.
Exact same logic for cars, we can make slow ass cars, but they need the high max speed to for example, climb hills.
19:31 I never realised it before, but I think I consider the slight metallic taste to be part of the experience
2:16 : the german autobahn: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?
I thought the same about fast cars (actually I hate all cars but) until it was explained to me that the faster a car can go, the more efficiently it will perform at regular speeds. fair enough
I agree with the reclining one, like what if you are eating, or have your device up on the tray or seat? How is reclining more comfortable? (Last one might be controversial)
By agree, I mean agree with the post btw.
god, geoge is so wise
I'll disagree with the seat one. My knees are often already on the seat back. Any reclining will crush them.
Going dutch is not the same as splitting the bill.
It means you pay for your own shit as opposed to splitting the bill evenly when your orders may not have been equal in price.
As someone who has made posts on this sub. The intention is to upvote when you disagree and downvote when you agree. This ensures the top is posts people disagree with the most. However, posts I've made has got every person disagreeing with me in the comments (and misrepresenting me, but that's beside the point since they still disagree), yet my post ends up being downvoted ... which means they agree ... the sub is a mess.
Looking at these posts and comments. My posts were basically purely unpopular therefore downvoted, while these posts aren't unpopular, it's just that the people on the sub agrees with the post and thinks it's an unpopular idea. This sub isn't unpopular options, but popular Reddit opinions.
15:00 I don't think you need anything to go with burgers. A burger is a perfect creation. You get buns, you get vegetables, you get sauces, you get meat. It's all in one. Delicious as is. No need to add anything extra.
