Yeah same. Scar's appearance really elevated the story. Im sure him getting caught was part of his plan lmao. I do hope there'll be this route in the future. Would be unique tbh but i don't wanna get my hopes up high since they did change the prologue from cbt1 since CN players are such snowflakes and didn't like it when the MC was treated badly by the main trio (duo except for yangyang). But who knows, maybe an anti hero like route would be more acceptable for many.

We came from the dimensions where the Retroact Rain came from, basically the index of the multi verse, we're the memory of a once great hero, called upon, again and again to fight the Lament. A pawn to be used in this never ending game. I may be looking into it too much, but the mentions of pawns, players, choices and determinism supports this theory. If so, Rover's existence is pretty damn tragic.
As well as the playable characters and npcs’ actively helping us out instead of the story expositioning us with the character telling how he/she helped the mc from the sidelines. I really hope they do this for the future stories in this game, I legit pulled Jiyan cuz of how he proved that he was an amazing General through his actions instead of a piece of text telling me about his merits.

I just turned 30 and lost contact with a lot of friends for different reasons but watching Bran gives me the feeling of sharing something with a good friend.. hope that makes sense, english is not my first language haha
Since Bran unlocked it at the end of the video, wanna say that Havoc Rover is genuinely a good unit. They're able to hit 1k damage with their level 1 skill with a 5 piece SSE set (although all echoes are level 0). They're currently my second DPS in ToA and have been able to finish levels faster than my decently built level 60 Calcharo (Rover is boosted by Emerald of Genesis though).
Yeah... True. Inazuma was such a wasted opportunity, could've been one of the best quests we had. There was still some hype moments, but without proper build up its not the same thing 🥲
@@Supreme_Bargainer lore and storytelling are different, Genshin lore is great, and Inazuma lore is good too. But the Inazuma acts storytelling were not really great, kinda sad cuz Inazuma is my fav region... Inazuma would be one the best quests if they have made a good build up and fleshed out all the playable characters like they did in Sumeru and Fontaine.

I was about to give up due to all the goddamn bugs and stuttering and personal disappointments I have with the game. But then she showed up and I forgot all of those stuff.
the voices have frequencies pulled out, I do this while running sound for different bands. pulling frequencies helps clean up the sound in a live band setting. the issue is that when you do it in a game or for when there is just a VA and no other sound it sounds sterile. they also have a weird amount of compression on their voices so every line is delivered with the exact same volume as the rest. its not conversational its robotic
I was wondering if it was something like this! All i kept thinking was “is there a such thing as autotune for regular voices” because that’s the feeling i kept getting from the dialogue
That little pet at the end is the reason we're able to absorb threnodians and whatnot with our body and not our gourd. It's hard to say exactly what it is, though. Not sure if it's a second soul, an entity we borrowed from the "god" at the beginning cutscene, or what.. but it's definitely the main reason we can absorb those like the legendary hero in the old legends.
I picked the female MC in Genshin and in WuWa cuz i think they have better design even if WuWa male MC is pretty cool i still choose the female also I'm a male and I don't care 😎
Female Rover is great looking and also has good facial animations (idk where Bran saw that male had better), pretty much the same in most cases (sometimes she looks slightly different. There's one brief moment where Male Rover looks tired but she looks angry). I like her a lot.
If anyone is still wondering I believe based on my progression through the story, that the three dots progresses the dialog while the three lines adds more depth to the dialog. Once again this is just my guess based off my experience.
I have a question. I downloaded the game but any time I try to switch characters my HUD disappears and the game freezes. I swear I’ve tried every tutorial to make the game run but nothing worked. Does anybody know how to fix it please?
personally i feel like what kuro did was they got the English VAs to record their voices a little so that an AI program could generate all the voicing for the dialog. i edit my tiktoks using capcut and it has you read something. after that you can just input text and it reads it in your voice. mine ended up ALMOST passable. it even does it in Chinese. i asked someone who is a bilingual native Chinese speaker to listen to me "speaking" Chinese and it sounded really convincing to them except for a few details.
No, someone did an interview with the voice actors and it all came down to bad directing. The voice actors were doing their best with what they were given, but they weren’t given much in terms of how to say things and the context behind their voice lines. Also this is a British voice acting studio and they forced everyone to speak in an American accent. In the future they stated that they’ll let all the voice actors just use their natural accents instead.

At the start of the game when y out absorb crownless you can hear the fluffy furry guy say food as you absorb the crow less, most likely the fluffy dog guy is rovers resonance ability, much like how other characters have theirs.
The story genuinly feels like a hit or a miss. Most people ive asked think it lacks in a lot of places, others say its good some have no real opinion on it. In my personal opinion i think it has potential in the future to develop more indepth but the acts before 6 to me were quite boring in a lot of ways. They felt like something was always missing either from character backgrounds or just world building, etc...
I think before act 3 it was slow but necessary. There was world building to be done and that's what it was for. Could it have been done better, probably but it was never going to be super exciting. But act 3 onwards was fun honestly. I feel I enjoyed it as much as any other gacha opening act, they're never that revolutionary or exciting, just required
Act I-II could have been done better, but it's still necessary world building. The story starts picking up from act III onwards, and act V-VI are peak.
The First three acts were HEAVILY rewritten between the Beta and Final Release, which is why there seems to be awkward gaps, odd writing choices and exposition dumps. Entire character introductions got scrapped as well as full cutscenes. That's why the final two acts feel a lot better overall, because they suffered from the least amount of rewrites.
Honestly the story isnt that bad, but the first few parts are very, very slow which is fine, but I can understand why people wont like it at first. It does pick up in Act 3 going forward tho and honestly if they keep it at that pace this story can actually cook in future updates. They already did tease a lot of potentially upcoming characters like Jinhsi, Cameylla, Changli, General Geshu, etc. So there are a lot of opportunities to improve the story and to incorporate a lot of other characters as well
i need Scar, I need the magistrate, I need Geshu (who was in Jiyan's trailer).....BRING THEM ALL! Also I'm glad every Hoyo CC i follow is reacting to this game; I was waiting for it forever~
I just finished the story and I gotta say it surpassed my expectations by a mile, I was not expecting the story to pick up as much as it did, don’t get me wrong it wasn’t perfect, but honestly what is right? The nitpicks I have are just that. Nitpicks. Mostly of how some scenes played out. But other than that I am pleasantly surprised, I didn’t really think the story would be bad but I wasn’t expecting it to be great either… I thought I would just play WuWa for how fun the game is outside of lore but I stand corrected, and happily so!
I didn't really like Paimon at the beginning of Genshin, but she eventually grew on me. I instantly loved Abby, though! The voice isn't grating, he's cuddly af, and I wanna give them a fist bump everytime I see them lol
I started the game late, but reeeally want to get Jiyan before he disappears in a couple days. So I'm skipping all the story and using this video to properly experience the story while in the or at break at work. It's very helpful.
My personal thoughts on the story: Prologue to act 4: Really repetitive, bad pacing and the characters all felt way too flanderized, aka only having a single trait that defines them and no actual character (aka the energetic one, the thoughtful one, the evil manipulative one) and the story beats felt very played out (bad guy shows up, we beat them, they get away/get arrested) Act 5: Didn't like the first half since it kinda was just more of the same, but I actually really enjoyed Aalto and Encore, they felt like actual characters and the pacing was also pretty good. Act 6: Probably gonna get hate for this, but I just found it to be very anti climactic. Sure it had some nice epic scenes, but the pacing was horrible and inconsistent at parts, a lot of characters felt underused and like they just had to be there (Yuanwu had literally a total of 1 lines) and the ending fight kinda just felt whatever (I wished the second half wouldve gone on for longer). The Ending was also really abrupt, so I hope there is an epilogue in 1.1, tho I doubt that will change my feelings towards the final act Overall I'd say the story can be enjoyable if you dont pay too much attention. Sadly I'm a story enjoyer in games, so this just isnt my cup of tea. But I'll still continue playing the game for the combat
People who're being overly harsh with WuWas story so far seem to have forgotten Genshins story at the beginning (and Inazuma, too). Like, it's totally fair to criticize the story because it does have its short-comings. But I still think it'd be a good thing to keep in mind that this game just came out and doesn't have years of story development yet. For me personally, story aside, I'm a bit annoyed they made the beta so exclusive. Maybe if they had more people testing their game before release we wouldn't all be beta-testing now on a released game (because that's what it still feels like, playing the game). Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the game and I haven't had game-breaking issues yet. But the amount of smaller issues the game has really take me out of it. From dialoge being cut off to blobflies (? I'm bad with names..) going from yeeting to their stone to needing handholding to guid them every step of the way to a missing structure around a puzzle to enemies despawning and respawning in tower (or bosses on the map) to lags to translation issues to animals just standing there waiting to be killed (they did use to run away but some patch in their AI seems partially broken), the list goes on.
I can add to the list! The voicelines playing late, repeating or cutting off. Cutscenes not loading and the game leaving you on a black screen for eternity, the loading music playing over all other sounds, and general performance issues.

So pretty much, the power we were given by the goddess, I guess devours powerful monsters from the Tect field, which is like a Wormhole for monsters to travel from another dimension.(similar, Honkai 3rd and Star rail )
Havoc Rover seems to be one of the best dps in the game. I've seen people hitting 20k to 100+k with them. Currently I'm running her alongside Danjin. Dreamless' Echo is also tailor-made for Havoc Rover as well (though anyone can use it, I have one on both Rover and Danjin), which opens up some possibilities. There could be character-specific echoes in the future. You can possibly give characters new playstyles or even buffs with them.
2:16:35 Well, Aalto didn't lie in this part when he mentioneds "Knew it" when Rover was asked that she's familiar with the goddess we saw in the intro. In shorts the black shores directly work under the goddess orders, especially in Illusive Dream those NPC have almost the same outfits especially in their back and yours.
Pretty much the main characters world was destroyed by a black hole created by aliens or monsters from another universe. And the goddess of that world, I guess saved us to save the other world, but I’m mostly guessing.😮😮😮😮

Nah relate. LingYang’s Eng dub was so empty of character. I couldn’t like Lingyang at all. Switched to Mandarin and holy SHIT. SO much character. Same person but suddenly so much more. So much fun. Similarly other characters! Mandarin dub is also fantastic, worth checking out.
its because the bastards who did teh voice directing modified their voices to try and make them sound 'cuter' as well as making them speak in nutural accents. its why most the male va's in english sound better then the girls in this game

First things first, the way WuWa worldbuilding is shaping up - it's very accurate to what i was able to collect from... idfk what to call it, but anyways - reality is math, space is waves, multiverse is real. Only one of her eyes seems to be affected with the wavy thingy, right? But may be human brain works in such a way that she receives distorted picture from both eyes regardless.
@@MyPj25 I find that female MC's design is typical of this game, that being rather boring compared to every other female character in this game (all of them have tight strips of clothing tied together, most with side booba). For some reason, all the unique character designs only happen for the children and male characters. Male Rover might look like a generic anime protagonist, but you can't say he doesn't look good doing it.

I never thought about it when played it, but now I think - could old general Geshu Lin be Scar now? He feels the same, have similar resonator mark, similar gestures, and he was lost (not died) in battle with TDs, and he have all rights to be mad at world how he was framed for sacrifising too much manpower when he done whats need to be done (maybe Scar's black sheep stuf is about it too)
So pretty much everyone has those marks from the goddess, I’m just gonna assume she’s probably a dragon goddess cause some look like dragons and some don’t. And the planet being destroyed is probably a possible future , because at first I thought the character was from another world. that was more of a vision of the future from one of the Dragon gods. Because the main character lost his memory , but has their technology with the gourd. meaning he’s native to the planet just has no memory🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 then the leader of the entire city, knows about our past. and has been waiting for us for a while I guess because of prophecy.

One thing I like in wuwa story is how the Rover is main focus of the storyline, like you are much more involved in things happening.

I have a question. I downloaded the game but any time I try to switch characters my HUD disappears and the game freezes. I swear I’ve tried every tutorial to make the game run but nothing worked. Does anybody know how to fix it please?
personally i feel like what kuro did was they got the English VAs to record their voices a little so that an AI program could generate all the voicing for the dialog. i edit my tiktoks using capcut and it has you read something. after that you can just input text and it reads it in your voice. mine ended up ALMOST passable. it even does it in Chinese. i asked someone who is a bilingual native Chinese speaker to listen to me "speaking" Chinese and it sounded really convincing to them except for a few details.
No, someone did an interview with the voice actors and it all came down to bad directing. The voice actors were doing their best with what they were given, but they weren’t given much in terms of how to say things and the context behind their voice lines.
Also this is a British voice acting studio and they forced everyone to speak in an American accent. In the future they stated that they’ll let all the voice actors just use their natural accents instead.

At the start of the game when y out absorb crownless you can hear the fluffy furry guy say food as you absorb the crow less, most likely the fluffy dog guy is rovers resonance ability, much like how other characters have theirs.

The story genuinly feels like a hit or a miss. Most people ive asked think it lacks in a lot of places, others say its good some have no real opinion on it. In my personal opinion i think it has potential in the future to develop more indepth but the acts before 6 to me were quite boring in a lot of ways. They felt like something was always missing either from character backgrounds or just world building, etc...
I liked the story but it took pace after Act 3 and i liked it. It just made a base to set future story as it has so much potential. ❤
I think before act 3 it was slow but necessary. There was world building to be done and that's what it was for. Could it have been done better, probably but it was never going to be super exciting. But act 3 onwards was fun honestly. I feel I enjoyed it as much as any other gacha opening act, they're never that revolutionary or exciting, just required
Act I-II could have been done better, but it's still necessary world building. The story starts picking up from act III onwards, and act V-VI are peak.
The First three acts were HEAVILY rewritten between the Beta and Final Release, which is why there seems to be awkward gaps, odd writing choices and exposition dumps. Entire character introductions got scrapped as well as full cutscenes. That's why the final two acts feel a lot better overall, because they suffered from the least amount of rewrites.
Honestly the story isnt that bad, but the first few parts are very, very slow which is fine, but I can understand why people wont like it at first. It does pick up in Act 3 going forward tho and honestly if they keep it at that pace this story can actually cook in future updates. They already did tease a lot of potentially upcoming characters like Jinhsi, Cameylla, Changli, General Geshu, etc. So there are a lot of opportunities to improve the story and to incorporate a lot of other characters as well

I just finished the story and I gotta say it surpassed my expectations by a mile, I was not expecting the story to pick up as much as it did, don’t get me wrong it wasn’t perfect, but honestly what is right? The nitpicks I have are just that. Nitpicks. Mostly of how some scenes played out. But other than that I am pleasantly surprised, I didn’t really think the story would be bad but I wasn’t expecting it to be great either… I thought I would just play WuWa for how fun the game is outside of lore but I stand corrected, and happily so!

I didn't really like Paimon at the beginning of Genshin, but she eventually grew on me. I instantly loved Abby, though! The voice isn't grating, he's cuddly af, and I wanna give them a fist bump everytime I see them lol

My personal thoughts on the story:
Prologue to act 4: Really repetitive, bad pacing and the characters all felt way too flanderized, aka only having a single trait that defines them and no actual character (aka the energetic one, the thoughtful one, the evil manipulative one) and the story beats felt very played out (bad guy shows up, we beat them, they get away/get arrested)
Act 5: Didn't like the first half since it kinda was just more of the same, but I actually really enjoyed Aalto and Encore, they felt like actual characters and the pacing was also pretty good.
Act 6: Probably gonna get hate for this, but I just found it to be very anti climactic. Sure it had some nice epic scenes, but the pacing was horrible and inconsistent at parts, a lot of characters felt underused and like they just had to be there (Yuanwu had literally a total of 1 lines) and the ending fight kinda just felt whatever (I wished the second half wouldve gone on for longer). The Ending was also really abrupt, so I hope there is an epilogue in 1.1, tho I doubt that will change my feelings towards the final act
Overall I'd say the story can be enjoyable if you dont pay too much attention. Sadly I'm a story enjoyer in games, so this just isnt my cup of tea.
But I'll still continue playing the game for the combat
People who're being overly harsh with WuWas story so far seem to have forgotten Genshins story at the beginning (and Inazuma, too). Like, it's totally fair to criticize the story because it does have its short-comings. But I still think it'd be a good thing to keep in mind that this game just came out and doesn't have years of story development yet.
For me personally, story aside, I'm a bit annoyed they made the beta so exclusive. Maybe if they had more people testing their game before release we wouldn't all be beta-testing now on a released game (because that's what it still feels like, playing the game). Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the game and I haven't had game-breaking issues yet. But the amount of smaller issues the game has really take me out of it. From dialoge being cut off to blobflies (? I'm bad with names..) going from yeeting to their stone to needing handholding to guid them every step of the way to a missing structure around a puzzle to enemies despawning and respawning in tower (or bosses on the map) to lags to translation issues to animals just standing there waiting to be killed (they did use to run away but some patch in their AI seems partially broken), the list goes on.
I can add to the list! The voicelines playing late, repeating or cutting off. Cutscenes not loading and the game leaving you on a black screen for eternity, the loading music playing over all other sounds, and general performance issues.

Havoc Rover seems to be one of the best dps in the game. I've seen people hitting 20k to 100+k with them. Currently I'm running her alongside Danjin. Dreamless' Echo is also tailor-made for Havoc Rover as well (though anyone can use it, I have one on both Rover and Danjin), which opens up some possibilities. There could be character-specific echoes in the future. You can possibly give characters new playstyles or even buffs with them.

In shorts the black shores directly work under the goddess orders, especially in Illusive Dream those NPC have almost the same outfits especially in their back and yours.

Nah relate. LingYang’s Eng dub was so empty of character. I couldn’t like Lingyang at all. Switched to Mandarin and holy SHIT. SO much character. Same person but suddenly so much more. So much fun. Similarly other characters!
Mandarin dub is also fantastic, worth checking out.

its because the bastards who did teh voice directing modified their voices to try and make them sound 'cuter' as well as making them speak in nutural accents. its why most the male va's in english sound better then the girls in this game

@@MyPj25 I find that female MC's design is typical of this game, that being rather boring compared to every other female character in this game (all of them have tight strips of clothing tied together, most with side booba). For some reason, all the unique character designs only happen for the children and male characters. Male Rover might look like a generic anime protagonist, but you can't say he doesn't look good doing it.

So pretty much everyone has those marks from the goddess, I’m just gonna assume she’s probably a dragon goddess cause some look like dragons and some don’t.
And the planet being destroyed is probably a possible future , because at first I thought the character was from another world. that was more of a vision of the future from one of the Dragon gods.
Because the main character lost his memory , but has their technology with the gourd. meaning he’s native to the planet just has no memory🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 then the leader of the entire city, knows about our past. and has been waiting for us for a while I guess because of prophecy.
