@@yt-bk3wf I think it's really interesting that a lot of people seem to have this idea of not being allowed to enjoy anything related to AI for some reason. idk how familiar most of you are with music production but AI in music is a lot more complex than you'd think and there are a lot of ways of using these tools while still being original in my opinion, which I assume is one of the main concerns of people. In my humble opinion thinking that music can only ever be either "AI-generated" OR "human-made" is lacking any sort of nuance and doesn't do the whole conversation about AI and "originality" as a whole any justice. I've been making music for little over 10 years now and for the last 7-8 years or so making beats has been my full-time job. I can think of tons of examples where the general public wouldn't even think twice about calling something "real" art and even praise the artist without ever questioning the origin of the music, simply because they know little to nothing about music production and the industry as a whole. It's only now that AI has become a thing when people all of a sudden started applying what feels like this arbitrary standard of what's original (and ethical) and what isn't. It seems like people demand that everything that involves any sort of use of generative AI tools needs to be labelled as AI generated music which feels very binary and naive and it completely disregards every possible way of using it that goes beyond the commonly known "push a button and get song" method.
What if someone makes 16 bars from scratch featuring a whole bunch of elements like drums, bass, some chords, maybe some ear candy or whatever and instead of arranging the whole thing with the tracks you already have as you usually would, upload it to suno or udio and have them extend the track and maybe even get some additional instruments in there that would take forever to do authentically in midi (e.g. trumpets, guitar solos). Is the result of that AI music, is it human-made and original or is it somewhere in between? I don't know the answer to that and to be honest with you it doesn't matter to me, I just feel like it's a bit hypocritical to act like you can only enjoy music knowing 100% who or what it was made by.
Anyway, whatever you think the answer to that question may be though, I put a lot of manual labor and effort into every single track and collection, using the skills I acquired over the course of 10 years in areas like sound design, production, mixing & mastering, to create something most people can't, not because I'm special in any way, but because you can't replace human intelligence (yet lol) and the experience from doing something for a very long time. If after all this you still genuinely feel like any sort of AI use is unethical or simply not real art, then this channel is probably not for you because I have no issue with using new tools and technologies to help expand and speed up my creative process. The only goal here is to make as much good music as possible, maybe help some people with whatever they're dealing with along the way, and create a nice environment for people to come together and enjoy these collections for what they are, art.

@@homealoneagain.I empathize with a couple points. But I think it's pretty clear that there are other factors at play. The *way* you're releasing the music, the amount of it that mostly sounds the same, and the format / album art being very standardized, the fact that lofi as a genre is often a shell of its more vibrant influences... it all comes across as a streaming revenue scheme. You may have years of experience as a sound designer / arranger / etc. but your channel comes across as soulless. I get wanting have a "production line" method when you're trying to monetize your music, but when I hear these songs, and they all sound kind of generic and lifeless, and aren't taking any risks that a passionate human naturally would, you can't be mad when people are put off by the whole thing

The phrase "處小便無用" (Konotokoro Shoben Muyō) seen in this picture is commonly found in old documents and traditional Japanese buildings, meaning "Do not urinate here."
The character "處" means "place" or "location," "小便" refers to "urination," and "無用" translates to "not allowed" or "prohibited."
In essence, it indicates that "urinating here is not allowed," effectively serving as a prohibition.
In ancient Japan, such phrases were often inscribed directly on walls or fences to promote proper behavior in public spaces like roads, temples, and shrines.

・The outline of the story depicted in this artwork:
Sasaki Bunsan, renowned as a calligrapher, was known for his free-spirited personality and refined taste. His friend, Enomoto Kikaku, a witty haiku poet, shared a deep bond with him.
One day, Bunsan, Kikaku, and a wealthy merchant were enjoying a banquet in the pleasure district. The host of the banquet house asked the famous calligrapher Bunsan to write an inscription on a folding screen. Drunk, Bunsan boldly wrote, "No urination here." The host appeared displeased by this, but Kikaku quickly added the words "amid the flowering hills," transforming the phrase into a haiku. The humor of the moment lightened the mood, bringing laughter to the gathering.
・Why did this become a haiku?
At first glance, "No urination here" appears to be a simple notice. However, by adding "amid the flowering hills," the imagery shifts dramatically. The elegant phrase evokes a humorous scene of intoxicated guests relieving themselves during a flower-viewing event. This contrast creates the distinctive charm of haikai poetry.
Haikai and senryu often derive meaning and aesthetic appeal by blending refined expressions with everyday humor. This episode vividly illustrates such cultural nuances.
Key points for those unfamiliar with Japanese culture:
・The essence of haikai: Japanese haikai poetry does not merely celebrate nature or human activities in a refined way but skillfully incorporates everyday humor and absurdity.
・The art of wordplay: The combination of "No urination here" and "amid the flowering hills" layers contrasting images, enabling readers or listeners to vividly picture the scene.
・Lightening the atmosphere: By turning a mere warning into a haiku, the initial discomfort transforms into humor, enhancing the joyous mood of the banquet. This kind of improvisation showcases the wit and cultural sophistication of intellectuals in that era.
・This episode exemplifies the characteristics of Japan's haikai culture. During the Edo period, poetic forms like haikai and senryu played an important role in blending refinement and common humor, bringing joy to people and enlivening social gatherings.
