Niharika Kottapoli, MD, a PGY-2 from Southern California, shares a few of her favorite New York City activities and reflects on how the immense support she received from co-residents, attending staff, Program Director Dr. Kajita, and even the Bronx community helped her navigate the challenges of being a first year medical resident during the Covid-19 surge.
This video was created as part of a series in which current residents openly share their experiences in the Wakefield Internal Medicine Residency Program at Montefiore Einstein.. The goal of the series is for prospective residents who could not visit campus during the COVID-19 pandemic to get a true sense of whether or not the program is a good fit in terms of academics, structure, and mission.
