@@bondjames-bond7664 Tyson said, he was afraid before the fight in the locker room, but as soon as he entered the ring he wanted to destroy the opponent. :) To overcome fear you must face it, probably many times, until you won't fear the unexpected anymore...so I guess experience will make the fear away...You must be punched a lot of times, and be on the ground to become a warrior I guess. I don't fear in the ring anymore during sparring, but I shake like a lil girl on the street when whoever tries to attack me, cause I haven't got into fight before, sadly. So...fight a lot, face your fear until it is gone.

I actually did it! Well... Not exactly...
My bully approached me and my friends, and so I stood up for the first time, since I told him to fuck off multiple times and he was very provocative. Anger is what did it for me. I charged him grabbed him and put him down. Well I didn't punch him, but since then he stopped annoying me and my friends.
What he would usually do is, while we play football he always comes in and takes our ball kicking it out of the pitch.
The fight ended when his friend came towards us and he pulled me out.
They both kept telling me not to fight him after that, because their football trainer was watching them and he was going to punish him or something.. BULLSHIT! - I screamed. Took me 5 to 6 minutes to calm down and my friends were very impressed at that time. Which meant: I was the badass this time.

Growing up as a hooligan I remember some of the best street fights I had were against trained individuals. You don't win them all. But what I learned was they were extremely smart and quick to react compared to the average hoodlums id fight. But the one thing I always found interesting was the unwritten rules of street fighting. I never abided by them and only knew do anything to win. It was only after being jumped by 6 kids in the neighborhood my mom told me "As long as you come back home to me, you've won".

I think there is one extremely important tip that Tony did not exactly mention (and that I learned the hard way from my own experience in the streets of Moscow). After you throw that first punch, you need to continue attacking your opponent until you see that they do not want to continue the fight or that they are not a threat to you anymore. If you are not a trained boxer, most probably your first punch will only surprise and somewhat disorient your opponent. When you see them disoriented, your natural reaction is to stop the fight right there (because you are not a violent person and already feel guilty for having hurt someone). However, if you stop, you will make a big mistake, because the fight will not stop. You will simply lose the advantage that you have just won yourself with that first punch. What will happen next is your opponent will recover and come back at you with even more anger and aggression. So, continue punching your disoriented opponent, until it has become clear to both of you that you have won. If they bend, don’t be afraid to kick them in the face. If you are not a trained fighter, your kick will not knock them out or hurt them badly. But it will give them a significant scare and they will lose all their original desire to mess with you. And, of course, never hurt your opponent more than it is objectively needed for your protection and in order to stop the fight. There is no excuse for excessive and unmotivated violence.

I've been quite a few fist fights in my life, some I've won, and some I've lost.
And the main thing I've learned is that no matter what you do, or what you study beforehand - nothing is going to prepare you 100% for a real fight.
The main thing that translates into your technique, is first hand experience. I'm not at all saying that training doesn't help or play a key role, because it very much does!
But being in the heat of the moment, those milliseconds that pass as the fight is starting and going - those are your best teacher. Once you get into a fight for the first time, and begin to learn how to control that adrenaline and nervousness, you become a better fighter than 90% of people out there.
Because most people have never been in a fist fight before; there's almost like a wall you have to climb in order to throw that first punch for the first time. But when you've conquered that wall and push through it, you get better and better in the future.
Controlling your emotions and nerves are damn the entirety of it all. And also, do not be afraid of getting hit! It does not hurt no where near as bad as you think, especially when you've got that adrenaline rushing through you.
Yes you should avoid being hit in the first place - but once you do get that first punch to your face, win or lose, it's extremely freeing! I know how that must sound but believe me, something just clicks afterwards when you've overcome that fear- and in the future, that makes a 100% difference.
Push yourself, and maintain discipline over your nerves.

Luckily if you don't go walking around terrible places the only times you will be forced to fight is in/out of night clubs bars etc. So you're fighting drunk people often not knowing what they are doing and trying to achieve. They're wobbly and chaotic. Tony's tip of throwing the first punch is essential. If you're smart it's the right thing to do, my wrist are fucked so I usually use elbows when someone comes up too close. You know you're the better man so it's better for you to knock him. Hit his jaw, if needed follow up with a few more put him in recovery position check his breathing and walk away. If you lose, they might not be understanding. Tip #1 has worked every time in my experience luckily enough. However I truly believe for it to work you must convince yourself you are ready and willing to be hurt. Having been bullied myself as a kid I told myself a long time ago to never show fear or allow anyone to intimidate me. Also standing your ground has seemed to work even more against bigger guys, who usually have a look of confusion or shock once you show no fear.

When I heard Tony say to do whatever I takes to win, I subscribed. I will always try my best to avoid a fight & thankfully haven’t been in fight in ages & I, too was bullied as a kid. A few years ago, I was at a parade with my family & witnessed a man grab a girl by her hair & started punching her. Hundreds of people were around & nobody did anything to help her so I forced my way between them & pushed the man to the ground. Next thing I knew 5 of his friends were surrounding me & my family. I somehow avoided this situation by calling them out as cowards that hit women but wouldn’t fight another man 1 on 1. This turned out to be true because they reluctantly walked away, cursing me all the while.

That last point a huge respect "don't keep attacking and doing damage when they are down". If you lose yourself in rage and continue to punch a downed person, the chances of severely injuring them is high not to mention that there is also chance of them dying. I almost took a mans life because I got lost in rage and if my friend didn't pull me back in time, I'd be sitting in prison right now, it is very important to get a handle on your emotions specially rage/anger. I little trick I learned to get control is that whenever I feel angry, I take few seconds to get my breathing in control and focus more on clearing my thoughts (this doesnt mean during fights but any situation that can get an angry emotion out of you).

He had a grin on his face and asked me if I ever used what I was learning in the streets. I told him no. I kept to myself and avoided people and places where conflict was more likely. He then told me if I ever landed punches on someone the way I landed them on a heavy bag, that I could do some serious damage.
Avoid street fights at all costs. If you find yourself in one that you cannot avoid, finish it quickly and go about your way. Too many situations can turn ugly real fast if you hang around. No one is invincible or unstoppable.

I need some help from you then!😂 I am so intimidated by girls that are popular because they talk so much shit and they talk like they are about it, but I don’t want to fight because I know I’ll go crazy and do some damage, because I have a lot of rage in me, but I also do. How do I go about this? And how do I not be so scared of them?

      @@melaninmagic8742 you will
Always be scared . I know I was . I never wanted to fight and never started one but never allowed anyone to hit me either . It was just instinct. Something just snaps when someone tries to hit me and I see it coming. It’s either gonna be me or them and the element of surprise by getting that first , quick and hard punch in first works well and then you just know you can’t let up because you’re toast if they are given a chance to reciprocate. By the time you get that first one in your anger kinda takes over and you forget about being scared . Like I said . It was what it was . Not proud of it but those Newark girls were rough . It didn’t happen often ppl kinda just knew I wouldn’t be an easy target. Try to avoid it if you can but if you can’t . Hit first and keep em going until your opponent is down and not wanting to get back up for more Or someone pulls you off .

A lifetime ago I heard someone ask my boxing coach about fighting other styles, kung fu, wrestling, etc. He said that your technique, your style, even the rules you follow completely depend on the ring you're in. If you are in a kickboxing match, it isn't dirty to kick someone in the head. If you fight someone on the street, you don't have to wait for the ref to tell you to touch gloves and come out fighting. You shouldn't go out and start an unfair fight, but there's nothing wrong with finishing one.

I`ve had a lot of street fights in the past, I`m a chill guy now, but still I love when Tony goes self defense mode, I gave the like, now I`m gonna proceed to watch the vid.
Edit: I just finished watching the video and all your tips are totally legit man, when I got jumped a few times back in my "violent times" I managed to survive with basic Muay Thai and Kickboxing, along with Boxing footwork, and having good hands. And yeah I never let some mofo to invade my personal space, or yell at me in my face cause I immediately headbutt him or drop an elbow to his face... At the end of the day, the most important thing to do when it comes to street fighting, is the will to win, as you pointed out at the end, and embrace the fear and turn it in your favor, something similar to what Cus D`amato used to tell Mike Tyson when he was terrified before a fight, turn your fear into FIRE!!!! I should add another thing with all due respect, but in a street fight, BE SIMPLE AND LETHAL, and this is for the Martial Arts guys that try to complicate every scenario they are in with complicated movements, in a street fight, JUST SMASH YOUR OPPONENT, OR OPPONENTS FACES, simple as that, a good 1 - 2 combo and a kick does perfectly. Anyways....
I was so violent when I was 15 yrs old to my early 20`s, an idiotic hot head I was..... now I`m 26, I`m gonna turn 27 in twelve days, so I`m cool guy now, and I like the way you teach your stuff, I`ve seen and liked ALL YOUR VIDEOS, it`s just I don`t comment often, but I support this channel since it came out.. Thanks Coach Tony for droping gems of knowledge.

I had 4 street fights in my life that I couldnt avoid and I would always take an defensive approach first, dodged and made them miss and when there was an opening I ended 3 of them with one punch. I have no boxing experience other than shadow boxing and hitting concrete walls for some time but that just came natural to me and it worked out well, against enemies that had at least more experience in street fights... They were no trained fighters though I recon. Most "gangsters" get very mad when you make them miss and they start flailing and thats when I go in and land one hard punch. It worked well for me so far. Whats your opinion on this? I think I'd be scared to hit first because I might make an mistake since I have no boxing or martial arts experience.

Anyway, one of the girls there started making fake sounds of throwing up, I did not know for sure if she was making those sounds to make me feel bad, but I didn't do/or say anything. Afterall I was alone with my grandfather against a group of seven. So I started feeling sh*t and weak for not doing anything and watching them insult me infront of my grandfather. After I reached home, I immediately opened youtube and searched for street fight guides JUST INCASE. I know in my case, any sort of physical damages were extremely unnecessary but I realized I didn't know how to fight if I needed to. Anyway, thanks again Tony. Great Video.

I’ve noticed that nobody talks about this and it’s something that I learned the hard way. I never could land a punch and got beat up until I learned one thing. To me this is the most important thing, and that is
    1. STEP INTO YOUR PUNCHES
When throwing a punch I’ve found that as you throw a punch you want to take a half step on your leading foot (jab) and a full step with your back foot (hook, power shot,)
    2. Keep your head moving especially when throwing a punch.
    3. Learn to headkick. It will stop a street fight 99% of the time it took me 6 months of stretching daily to be able to land a 6’ headkick and I am 6’ but I did it.
    4. Practice. Practice. practice.
Practice throwing punches, kicks, moving your head, landing shots, etc
And 5. If you can’t headkick go for a slam. If you get close enough and they are swinging or guarding they are probably off balance or have a high center of gravity, pick them up and use your entire body and strength to put them in the ground as hard and fast as you can. It does not matter how you do it or how you make them land. As long as it’s fast and hard your golden if the fight dosent end immediately it will shortly after as you will be in a good position to end it. I once slammed someone and they landed on thier knees and legs (you would think wouldn’t hurt them very bad) but it instantly ended the fight those are my top 5. And I guess as a bonus practice an exotic hit that someone won’t see coming for example I practiced the spinning back fist and I got insanely good at preforming it and landing it. I got in a fight and first thing I did was spinning back fist which hit them directly in the neck and jaw and dropped them like a sack of potatoes. Not only does it look badass but you also look like you are a trained fighter and girls think it’s super attractive lol

Revisiting this after just having my first street since learning MMA for the last 3-4 years. I got grabbed at a bar on Christmas and the guy was clearly looking to go, I gave him one stern warning to let me go, he didn’t so I immediately just went for repetitive elbows until he hit the deck. I’m 6.5 and have had people try fight me my whole life but always try walk away but in this situation it was the first time I felt like I had no choice. I hope the guy who started it will think twice next time.
