    Oh Man!! This is amazing! Wow.. I'd be playing them all the time because of how much nostalgia they all bring in thier own little ways. :) So happy to see this and happy for you.

    Watching this makes me want to go back in 90s and replay all my N64 games and actually take the time to appreciate the system. Thanks for the video. :D

    Nice collection man, the N64 was definitely the shit back in the 90s. Wish we could go back to that time when things were much simpler.

      The PlayStation was way better

      Zacho
      Well, that's your opinion. The reason the PS1 beat the N64 in terms of game variety was that it was more friendly to third party developers than the N64 was.

      +M1GarandMan3005 thats so true, and if the 64dd was actually successful, that would not even have been the case

    I have the "Ice" 64. It looks really cool on my display. I think these have aged pretty well, so while they don't look as "sleek" and don't blend in as typical home entertainment boxes, they still look aesthetically appealing. They look fun to collect, too! Nice and organized video :)

    That collection is amazing man. I have the pokemon ones, gold japan version, orange, Mario edition, Jungle Green and a coupe of normal ones. Love how Nintendo released all these versions. We dont see this anymore.

    • @NintendoCollecting
      @NintendoCollecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed but the Switch is getting some cool variations, but they are already $500 each

      Nintendo Collecting Always felt the N64 was the magical Nintendo. No one will ever match it. Gamecube came close but the N64 will always be special. Yes Switch models are very expensive. Thanks for replying. Awesome channel.

    @64supermarioreturns One of the nicest comments I have recieved while making videos - you're welcome and thanks for the kind words!
    I am starting a new line of collecting videos tomorrow that you might want to check out called "Collecting Tips 101"

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @CherryBombGamer I am not 100% sure if they ever were actually factory sealed. The consoles were definitely never sealed entirely in plastic wrap but there may have been a sticker sealing the box. On the inside of the box the controller, console, and instruction manuals had bags that were unsealed. To call a N64 console "factory sealed" is not entirely accurate. A console of "Like New" quality in the box would sell for, I would say, $200 or so but I would never pay over that.

  • @Nintendo64Movies
    @Nintendo64Movies 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I can't do anything else than favourite this one!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @zeldakink64 Thanks! It is the only complete console collection for the N64 I have seen. I do not have all of the different boxes - your Pokemon was the Battle Set or a similar name and usually sells for $150+ (for the AUS console with stickers and the same footprint of the original N64). The DK64 console you have is quite common in North America but it does sell for more than the boxed Jungle Green console since it had an expansion pack and DK64 game. I would estimate yours is $80-$120 boxed.

  • @CH33SYP00FS21

    great vid btw cant wait to see more

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @SoukerWorldGaming Yes I certainly do. I have the 8 North American boxed ones as well as roughly 15 boxed Japanese ones and 3 sealed blister pack ones.

  • @NintendoCollecting

    They all look so beautiful I love Nintendo 64.

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @fribert1 There was special packaging for a DK64 Jungle Green console that was just the same as the Jungle green. There was a special box for a Star Wars set too but that just had a regular black console. There was a special box too as a Zelda set but again that was a regular console. If you have seen other solid colored consoles other than the black, gold and Pokemon ones then they are most definitely custom. Hope this helps!

  • @Lukemasonmedia
    @Lukemasonmedia ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have the OG gray but a store near me has the gold variant, might have to go grab that thing it’s sweet

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @16bitghost Thanks very much! The N64 console collection is my pride and joy.

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes. That is correct. The 'Do Not Remove' is there so you know that the jumper pak helps make the console run

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @NewVegasFan101 Usually the Fire one with a mix of controller colors. Orange was my favorite color growing up.

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well you could buy the Donkey Kong Jungle Green set and it came with the expansion pack. Very few games used it and even fewer required it so it was not really necessary

  • @preziosestelle7368

  • @tarantinoish

    I like the Daiei Hawks and Jusco one’s.

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @CherryBombGamer Yes I certainly do. It is actually yellow. I am currently only missing three very, very limited edition controllers that were released exclusively in a specific chain of stores in Japan and the third was a gold E3 1997 controller with the N logo. I really like the DK64 controller. So unique!

    dude, are u like freaking rich or something??? im a gamer/rare hunter/collectionist, and im jealous of you right now, i am OFFICIALLY your number 1 fan, cuz u inspired me to hunt down all of these consoles, even though theyre all old. My advicce; KEEP those clean and dust-free, cuz in the future, theyre gonna be worth MILLIONS of money, im SpeederMan1000, your official number 1 fan

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @videogamepimp22 "Brand new" is tough with consoles since they were never actually sealed so its tough to tell. If the box, instructions, styrofoam, console, controller and cords are in great shape then $75 is a good price I would say. I would always stick to under $100 for the funtastic consoles with box.

  • @muiscnight
    @muiscnight 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love it when consoles come in many different colors to bad Nintendo is the only one that did/does that....

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @PsychoJinjo VERY good question :) Since my videos are all collecting I understand where it comes from. I grew up playing it all the time and I still play Super Smash Bros and Mario Party on a weekly basis for a few hours. I put back in my favourites once a year and beat them so I definitely still play it. N64 Forever!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    That is a good question. Normally I try not to collect doubles but I do have some right now. I am currently in the chaos of writing final papers and exams so in a month or so I will have some time to take a better look.

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Welcome Bwantley! Good question - in increasing order or rarity, I would say: Jungle, Ice, Fire, Grape, Watermelon and rarest is Smoke. This is just what I have observed. Rarest console would be the Gold or the Pokemon version. I would be kicking myself too but finding it again is part of the fun for collectors :)

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks! It is awesome having all of them. The green one can be obtained with a matching controller for $40! Its not that much

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes I have with roommates and friends. They usually are just frustrated at the TV and yelling at people online. Nintendo makes me smile. Every. Single. Time. I turn on the console and play

    @cAPSlOCKrOXX 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    HOLY CRAP. I'M... I'M SPEECHLESS. I want that green one back. That was my first N64. Not the Donkey Kong one. Just the green console. I want it. :(

  • @finngamer
    @finngamer 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent collection. I'll go after the consoles after I've finished the controller collection. :)
    Gotta love the N64!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome. Is the dark blue one the Grape console? What is it called in Holland?

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Okay awesome. Thanks for letting me know. It is mostly controllers and some boxes (no consoles). Work hard until the end of exams and good luck!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks SpeederMan1000 - I keep my room clean and tidy at all times. I doubt they will be worth millions, but thousands perhaps

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I do too! It is my 2nd favorite item in my collection. I am selling a boxed Daiei Hawks controller right now under my name (on ebay) if you wanted to see what that looks like

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Belcoot0161 Well you can do it without actually modding the technology in your console by removing the plastic that prevents the NTSC games from going into the consoles. You need to remove a small square of plastic from the white cartidge holder on the inside of the console. I think there are videos of how to do this here on youtube. Good luck!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its simply a matter of choice. Which is your favorite color? I would get that

  • @zeldakink64

    wow that is the best n64 collection i have ever scene in my life very good work mate :).just wanted to say i have had the Australian pokemon n64 since i was a kid the box i have 4 that one is a lot bigger and a different design. i also have the jungle green one and it has a different box as well this one comes with a DK 64 cart. just wanted to know are they worth the same amount to the ones u have or what? plz reply great vid mate(:

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @CutterSchrute The clear ones I found all on kijiji around my hometown in Canada. The Japanese ones I bought (all but one) from Japan itself. Shipping was A LOT for many of them. If you are looking to keep your costs low, buying from craigslist or kijiji is the best option! Good Luck Hunting for them!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is not incredibly rare if you live in Europe or Australia. It is not commonly seen for sale and is likely around the 5th or 6th rarest N64 console

  • @SoukerWorldGaming
    @SoukerWorldGaming 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great collection. Do you collect the controllers boxed as well?

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @MegaGamemaster007 The white / blue console was much more common in Europe and Japan than the rest of the world. It is most definitely more rare world wide than the Funtastics and the standard black console but it if most likely on par with the gold console or Pokemon Blue console worldwide. Hope this helps!

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Hello Kitty one is just a controller - not a console. I am still missing the Hello Kitty and the Geoffrey controllers but that is all

    @videogamepimp22 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    dude your my freaking hero man im also a n64 consoole collector i have the iceblue gold black and fire orange im trying too collect all the colors nice video keep it up

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Correct - was odd but that is how it was nearly always bundled for the standard set

  • @NintendoCollecting
    @NintendoCollecting  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @georgepenny Yes I recall that set and have seen pictures of it. If I said it was not released in Europe I was mistake but I thought I made an annotation. The black and grey controller you have is fairly common in Japan but rare for the rest of the world as it was a Japanese exclusive. With the box and game it sells for $40-$60 and the controller alone would normally sell for $20 or so. I am uncertain of how many were produced. That controller was actually also released seperately in another box

    Great video Dan, I really liked the way you walked through the countries - and kept the total running count of the different ones. All your info was accurate too - thanks for referring to Jusco as "Clear Gray" :)
    One interesting nugget: the Aus/Eur Pokemon controller actually is slightly different from the US Pokemon controller. The "Pokemon" logo is slightly smaller, and it has a small "TM" just below it to the right which the US version doesn't have. Check it out yourself!
