    These two created an entire sub-concert, behind Jimmy and Robert when onstage. Someone posted the isolated bass n drum track from Dazed…from the film! That’s right…from the SRTS movie! I highly recommend searching for it and giving it some time. Their playing together was tighter than a clam with lockjaw. It’s really something to behold. It’s a study…and a gift for all who may care to pay close enough attention. Some people lump Zeppelin in with other big acts from the seventies. I got news for those folks: Zeppelin had no competition. They were singular.

    That extra pause/flourish @3:33 is one of my favorite Bonham moments ever. Just one of those perfect imperfections that I always come back to and appreciate so much.

      @MojoPin1983 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @VideoAmericanStyle Mine, as well, but I don’t think that’s an imperfection, rather, it seems like it was very much intended as a point of slight tension and release.

    I always KNEW there was a high note at the end of each riff pattern! But as a guitarist I could never get it to sound right. I hadn't realized it was in the bass. Wow. This seemingly simple octave-switching riff has a trick up it's sleeve, and that's John Paul Jones. That one note makes the riff. Incredible.

      @@ludwigson11 Actually its a guitar run into a Leslie Speaker. which a two way woofer and high frequency speaker with a motor driven slotted rotating drum and a rotating horn that introduces a cyclic pitch bending Doppler effect similar to a phasor or chorus pedal. A sort of fluttering pitch shift vibrato results.
