Been dreaming about owning a Moulton for 3 years. Xmas this year I will be buying a Moulton Speed. I cannot wait. My friend has one and its like the most amazing bike I ever rode. And I got over 30mph on the flat. Ive never been able to achieve this on anyother small wheel bike. So I have to own one.
I don’t know how much you’ve researched or know about this - I’m looking to run di2 shifters with a campagnolo 11 cassette - I read that the spacing on campag and shimano 11 are the basically the same so di2 works with campag freehubs - any insights from you would be great - I’m wanting to use this combination as I need to use a Moulton specific campag 11 speed free hub
You are right, it is not recommended. But a Moulton is different from other bikes, the chain stays are much longer than even full-size bikes, a longer chain means less deflection, so crossover is not an issue. One of the drawbacks to setting up a Moulton with a wide gear range is that it is hard to find a new chain which is long enough. With this bike I had buy two chains and combine them. If you look closely, you’ll notice there are two quick links.

Your gears are in maximum crossover which is not recommended
