I completely understand where your coming from. Being a keeper I inspect and check on my bees every week to two weeks.Now I am just a hobby bee keeper. But I see colonies in the yard that haven't been checked in months or a year in some cases.And because those hives aren't kept properly other problems arise as a symptom of their poor husbandry.In fact this week is mite control week.
