Don't know much about Kanye but these Lyrics seem to be spoken from the POV of a disgruntled fan who doesn't like the direction that Kanye's work is taking at the moment and so, resorts to attack Kanye because he's is not like "he used to be". It reminds me of Tool's "Hooker With a Penis" where the lyrics talk about a fan who complains that his favorite band have become sellouts but it's actually just an ignorant asshole who is angry that they don't longer do the music he likes.
