Omg Julie thank you for bringing awareness to the severity of the ban and the potential of what’s to come for America. Literally the only influencer I have seen bring light to the topic regarding further than just the app itself. Love your family so much and so greatful to be able to watch your content still on other platforms ❤
Me too. I got so angry going to Instagram because mark suckerface lobbied against it I just deactivated and deleted all meta. I’m all TH-cam now. 😿😭 I’m going to miss Julie’s tik toks
love thisss its so fun with you and shawn you guys are so entertaining! also I love how upfront you are about tik Tok and how much you make, it feels so personal and real.
I’m dying at all of the details you guys remember. I’m from MA but I’m a few years younger than you guys so by the time my grade did this they had tweaked it a little bit so that we were aliens & the camp counselors were like the government trying to catch us but it was all the same premise lmao 😭
I love that I initially followed you because you’re from MA but feel like we live in completely different versions of the state. This is my first time hearing of this program omg!
The railroad story reminds me of ppl who say when they were in high school and the school staged drunk driving deaths of other students to sort of scare the students to not drive under the influence, like staging deaths is crAzy like I get wanting to stop drunk driving, but I feel like that’s so traumatic
Im sad that TikTok got banned and i hope they will bring it back and just do something about it,but im also so exited for the podcasts and hopefully vlogs and lots of videos you'll make with your beautiful family! LOVE YOU JULIE!
I went to natures classroom in NH!! We had to be silent and hold the rope while LOOKING DOWN!! At one point we had to run into our safe house and huddle together quietly to not be caught, and looking back it was absolutely insane what they did! Definitely remember the yelling. Also every day during meal time we had a SLOP bucket that they would collect all the food that went uneaten off plates and would weigh it in-front of all the kids and ridicule everyone about the waste of food!! We also did cool things like dissect things and hike but I remember the rest pretty vividly 😅
i'm from worcester ma & my friend in high school had a historical home and she had connecting tunnels below her house of the RR and seeing it in real life were some of my most traumatizing moments.
Julie PLEASE can you make an episode with tips or talk about having a second baby? My daughter will be 3.5 when her sibling comes and your son reminds me so much of her personality wise and super smart! I really really want your input!!!!!
I’m from MI. My school took us to a church downtown to do the underground railroad experience when we were in 6th grade. They split us into groups and we had to make it out of this church basement that was literally converted to be a set with safe houses and stuff (the production value down there was honestly NUTS). It was honestly very much giving historical haunted house, rather than historical reenactment. Once our groups made it out we got to have lunch, and then they TOOK US TO A BASEBALL GAME RIGHT AFTER??? like it was literally disguised as a completely different and relaxing field trip😭 and i literally feel like there were kids in my class who could NOT care less about the underground railroad thing bc they were just hype about the baseball game they knew we were on our way to like omg u guys😭😭😭
My natures classroom was in 6th grade in Massachusetts and was nothing like this unless I mentally blocked it out 😂😂 we did have that left over thing though. I feel like ours was more like camp and learning to do things in the woods.
the way yalls school went about it is concerning😭, but it’s good for them to start talking about that kind of stuff to kids. i was 10 when i first experienced racism and it was horrible, especially because it came from kids who i thought were my friends
I am very on the fence with sleepovers due to my own experience of child on child SA. Hard to keep our own traumas in line and not allow our kids to miss out on opportunities. I think constant talks about consent in age appropriate conversations is essential for sleepovers to be considered for me.
KDJDKDJDK when I was in fifth grade they made us reenact it in the school and I thought that was bad enough. I’m so shocked they made you actually go out there. Definitely morally wrong ☠️
nooo i also went to natures classroom and the people a grade above us would tell us about how scary the reenactment and kids would literally cry and they only cancelled the program the year i went which im only in my 2nd year of college like that was very recent and GROSS
Yeah it be giving hater how inner circle friends know that you be posting and don’t even support it’s just weird ❤😂like we’re going to see each other in real life and most likely they’re going to bring it up lol
I’m from Alabama and we did a similar thing lol we went on a field trip to a place called camp cosby and they woke us up in the middle of the night and made us act out the whole slave underground rail road stuff in the middle of the woods 💀
This is just what I needed after the TikTok ban. I love u guys sm
This felt like I was just in a conversation with you guys!! I loved it!
Probably one of the only podcasts I’d take my time to watch, love this

i'm from worcester ma & my friend in high school had a historical home and she had connecting tunnels below her house of the RR and seeing it in real life were some of my most traumatizing moments.
Please post more of these!! And longer!!

I remember they had us stand on a stage and sold us. My friend had an asthma/ anxiety attack 🙃
Omgggg😭😭😭
this happened in ohio too!!! this just brought back so much trauma
Grew up in Mass and went to the nature camp but no Underground Railroad experience 😅😂😂
I’m from PA. We had natures classroom but it was only one night, and there was no Underground Railroad part lol

omg i immediately know the place you are talking about!! i worked there for a few years
she needs to make a book!! :) on parenting
i love your podcast !!!!
Omg, I did the same Natures Classroom in the 6th grade!! The reenactment was scary but educational idk it didn't traumatize me lol
Also, as a person of color from Texas I have never heard of this😭😭 ….we had a polar express day?? Anyone else
My natures classroom was in 6th grade in Massachusetts and was nothing like this unless I mentally blocked it out 😂😂 we did have that left over thing though. I feel like ours was more like camp and learning to do things in the woods.
love thisss
OMG NATURES CLASSROOM. I forgot we did the Underground Railroad exercise, what a bizarre time to be alive
I still can’t believe he gives you old water lol
the way yalls school went about it is concerning😭, but it’s good for them to start talking about that kind of stuff to kids. i was 10 when i first experienced racism and it was horrible, especially because it came from kids who i thought were my friends
I have friends from Long Island that had a similar “program” “experience” (?? Idk) in elementary school and was shocked
What’s the name of your couch?? :) great video!
PLEASE KEEP SHAWN AS CO HOST HES SO FUNNY
watching this right after my tik tok stopped working

28:47 as someone who had sleepovers good and very bad… please learn what those other kids know I was 8 and she was my best friend
We love you Julie
We went to camp burgess down in Sandwich in I think 6th grade and did the same thing! So bizarre.
Everyone has a podcast now
My school did the same, I live in CT
Lowkey path 😂
The Underground Railroad story is so unhinged 😭
