This footage is from when Matt played during October 26th, 2023, He plans to replay the whole game in the future as he wasn't in the best mood when he streamed this.
Matto criticising the game while playing it for the first time on hard mode and not upgrading or doing side stuff (which is crucial to the gameplay btw) is the funniest thing to me XD
I liked to see that twitch chat largely disagreed with Matto when he was complaining about the angel mission, i feel like when people watch someone play a game they just take their complaints as fact especially a game like sr3 so it was cool to see people saying change and upgrade weapons. Also it’s funny that he complained about repeated fights as if every fight in gta v isn’t the same lmao
This is just a struggle he has with every game that isnt GTA 5, and even GTA 5 to an extent, he just doesn't read the mission objectives then acts very confused or will actively hinder himself, making everything 1000x harder than it needs to be, then blames the game as if there isn't better and easier ways to do things.

This was the first Saints Row I played, then I proceeded to play Saints Row 2, then 4, then Gat Out of Hell, and eventually 1 once I got an Xbox. 1 and 2 are my favorites but I also love 3 and 4, but I treat them kind of like 2 different sets of games.
Questions answered (from first half hour) - Take cover by getting human shields. E it said when you get close. Or picking up a dropped shield. (You can insta kill or throw them after. You also kept killing allies human shields xD) - It definitely seems to be a joke you don't understand. Info I found from a Belgium friend, they are "the speed bump of Europe" they are between many countries and have many languages. French, Dutch, German and maybe some others.
This is my first time seeing this game since I played when it came out. I remember thinking it was very fun for a GTA clone and just embraced a fun weirdness.
Hey Matto, may be a long shot but i was wondering if you could tell me what the version of Kanye West - Power you're playing over the mission is called? Looked at the music links in the description but couldn't really find anything. An answer would be greatly appreciated 😊 Love your Saints Row playthrough and will look forward to when you hopefully 🤞 play through the rest of this and maybe 4. They are kind if stupid compared to the first two but they are great fun 😄
Still my favourite Saints Row game. The story and the setting are a bit over-the-top (but are a still a believable development from SR2) and it doesn't really take itself terribly seriously, either. The SR4 engine is better, but the story in SR3 is better.
*cracks knuckles* saints row 3 I would argue is where the downfall of the series actually started. Don't get me wrong. Out of all the games in the series this one's the one I beat the most. I've put countless amounts of hours into this game co-op and by myself. I have really good memories w this game. It's where the downfall of the series started. But this video makes me wanna play it so ima install it
Saints row 3 was the 1st saints row I ever played and I loved it but Saints row 2 is the best hands down. Edit: the people in the chat that were saying that the original was much different than the remaster have no clue what tf they are on about 😂. I've played through the og so many times I've lost count and the remaster is the same bloody game just with better graphics and textures.
It will stay public, this is my livestreams channel. Livestreams are only members only on the main channel. And you can still find the VODs on Twitch for 30 days after the initial stream.
Even though I love Saints Row 2 and acknowledge that it does a lot of things better, I can't help but love Saints Row 3 and 4 _just as much as_ 2. Saints Row 2 had the most innovation for the series, had a way better map, better story and most balanced tone, but 3 and 4 are just so feel-good, pure chaos and fun for me, and honestly I enjoy the wacky story direction and new characters just fine, especially Kinzie. I always looked forward to upgrading my stuff, causing so much destruction or flying around using crazy abilities. The change in tone and direction is understandably off-putting, but I can accept it. I think seeing 3 and 4 mainly as their own thing, they're still pure video gaming fun to me. Really, I just wish 3 and 4 had more actual story missions, rather than activities disguised as such. I also wish Steelport was a bigger and better map than it was, it's okay, just not as good as Stillwater (was disappointed with the lack of mall). Still, if I'm in the mood for more open-world action adventure games, I'll happily turn to the Red Dead Redemption, Saints Row and Watch Dogs series.
I felt that way until I played saints row 3 again for the first time in years recently and it was nowhere near as good as I remebered it to be. The map is barron and just the same copy and pasted buildings throughout the island, and there are also very few unique areas to explore. The driving feels blocky and horrible, and other than the main story missions, soundtrack, and a few of the activities, it really isn’t that great. You could easily complete this game in a day if you wanted to. Saints Row 2, despite being smaller in every aspect, bar customisation, it feels massive in comparison to Saints Row 3. Theres really nothing Saints Row 3 does better than Saints Row 2, other than the weapons system maybe and even thats a stretch.
@isaacjones5687 I completely acknowledge that Saints Row 2 does a lot of things better, especially for it's time, but my comment also wasn't about which is actually better, rather which one I personally liked more, and I put them both on par based on how much I like them overall. I also agree that the map is a downgrade from SR2 as mentioned before, but I personally thought the driving in the third game felt better honestly.
I think they ruined the remaster with the faces. They tried to make it more realistic and made it worse. Everything else looks better. I prefer the original.
Ive played through the game like 2-3 times never had issues with it, it is a bit grindy i guess? youre supposed to do the activities which are repeated to get more money for upgrades and such, if you just try to book the missions it might be hard and annoying that way
It's so validating seeing someone new to the series come to the same conclusions as me cuz holy shit ppl glaze the fuck out of this game and I can never understand why. 1 and 2 are 1000x better in every category and it ain't even close
This should be good, this was my first experience with the franchise on PS3 and still a personal favourite. After this, it completely lost everything. Superpowers, aliens, fighting Satan etc went completely left
Love this game so much yeah the story isn't as good as the first two but it's game play is better from shooting to driving and the weapons and way better only thing it was missing was more to the story
I'm glad he's going to replay. The remastered version is imo much worse than the original, especially visually. I'm also gald he's going to give the game another go story wise as it's still a great game along with IV despite the tone difference between the first 2 and last 3 Saints games.
Uuugh, I can't stand chat. Killbane is not the main villain, Stag is, Killbane is just the final gang leader. They also kept telling Matto completely wrong crap early on.
Good list, 4 is better than 3 because it fully commits to the campiness as opposed to 3 which really struggles to find it's identity, constantly mixing tones in all the wrong ways.
I love SR1 and 2, I really can't blame him for his opinion of 3. 3 is just so much weaker. From the guns, the gameplay loop, making activities mandatory missions, the more linear feel, it being shorter... I could go on for a while. 3 is just weak. I know a lot of people like it, but those people that like it usually cop to 3 being their 1st Saints Row game, so sure it seems like an ok game if you're not comparing it to 2 great games.
Activities aren’t a problem to be honest, it’s just the fact that the activities you have to take part in, are dogshit. Crowd Control, Demolition Derby, Fight Club, Fuzz and Septic Avenger were all activities you’d go out of your way to play, because they were unique and enjoyable. But Saints Row 3 was stripped of these and it’s activities were devoid of any personality and were completely avoided outside of their respective missions, bar maybe the Tank Mayhem.
Saints Row 3 was the first game I ever played and completed, and I was maybe 6/7 years old playing it on my brothers PS3. I played it almost everyday for the good part of 4 years. I always felt it was superior to GTA and any similar games, but recently coming back to it last year for the first time in 8 or so years, It’s really nowhere near as good as I remebered, apart from the missions. Saints Row 2 is easily better in everyway, and the franchise as a whole is nowhere near the level of GTA.
I've read a lot of comments in the chat that SR4 is better than SR3, and I don't agree with that. Every single side mission in SR4 (and some of the main missions) are just - complete this list of side activities and then play through a short mission for the plot. SR3 while true, is repetitive to some degree (every single fight being waves of enemies with occasional specialist/brute) it isn't as boring as SR4. Also, you're just stupidly overpowered in SR4, making most fights "spam your power of choice and run around simulator" instead of taking cower and actually using guns to fight opponents.
Really is nice to see Matt play this man but yah SR3 was my last favorite. After that it went downhill in my opinion but I still played but i most definitely ain’t enjoy the reboot AT ALL but 4 was just really different than you know the gat one was like a dlc in my opinion but still ok. All and all crazy downfall but gold was made
The characters are still definitely distinctive and the game's change in tone is true but also overstated as Saints Row 2 was also completely absurd with a magic voodoo man throwing you around for example. it's not as good as Saints Row 2 as Stillwater in 2 blows Steelport mostly out of the water and the atmosphere in 2 is vastly superior. but I would take it over the OG which is a dated poor man's GTA and very generic. The rest of the games were not Saints Row games at all really.

This is funner to watch having just platinuming it. It was torture.
Questions answered (from first half hour)
- Take cover by getting human shields. E it said when you get close. Or picking up a dropped shield. (You can insta kill or throw them after. You also kept killing allies human shields xD)
- It definitely seems to be a joke you don't understand.
They are kind if stupid compared to the first two but they are great fun 😄
hey i believe they just used the song that kanye sampled. If you just looked up the samples he used you’d find it
Sr3 is my favorite in the series, but the remastered version is vastly inferior to the original in my opinion
2 is mine
Still my favourite Saints Row game. The story and the setting are a bit over-the-top (but are a still a believable development from SR2) and it doesn't really take itself terribly seriously, either. The SR4 engine is better, but the story in SR3 is better.
IF you have played the reboot, then you will find that everything before it....wasnt that bad.....at least we had gat....
My beloved saints row
00:49 Media Empire *shows an LTT inspired logo.. 😂🤫
Good thing i got a copy of this game plus all the dlcs (except 2 of them) for free.
I got it for free back in the day for "Games for Gold" good days man.
Bro he has the voice of batman
1:32:00 I have played GTA V exactly once, and I knew this.
Thanks Matto i Loved that Game i've alw played it w/ a Bro for hours after School amazing Game Amazing Times >>>♡
But this video makes me wanna play it so ima install it
Also I can't believe this is your first time playing this game. Highly recommend this game with a friend dude
All you need is a dubstep gun and you good
Speedrun challenge idea: Matto finishes 1 mission without chat's help and inputs.
idc what anyone says sr3 and sr4 are amazing games
has he played sr4 thats probably my favorite and want to see the stream or vod
Saints row 3 was the 1st saints row I ever played and I loved it but Saints row 2 is the best hands down.
Edit: the people in the chat that were saying that the original was much different than the remaster have no clue what tf they are on about 😂. I've played through the og so many times I've lost count and the remaster is the same bloody game just with better graphics and textures.
And way more bugs and uglier clothing
@@MyAccount217I see you everywhere
A foot is a third of a metre so 330 mm and you can change the settings to metric
Matt is really really clueless about games outside of GTA 5. smh...
If you like Hitman, please don’t watch him play it, lest your screen bestow your eyeballs with some of the worst gameplay known to man.
I hope he sticks it out, I wanna see what he thinks of SR4 🤣🤣
lets go, i was just wondering if you played the third or not
watching this before matt turns it into member only
It will stay public, this is my livestreams channel. Livestreams are only members only on the main channel. And you can still find the VODs on Twitch for 30 days after the initial stream.
@@DarkViperAULivestreams Ahh i see, thanks for clarifying. not really a fan of twitch but good to know if i miss a stream i can catch it on there.
I also agree that the map is a downgrade from SR2 as mentioned before, but I personally thought the driving in the third game felt better honestly.
the start of the downfall of Saints Row
I think they ruined the remaster with the faces. They tried to make it more realistic and made it worse. Everything else looks better. I prefer the original.
only Viola and Kiki's looks improved, everyone else are better in original
Great video, Matto! Really enjoying yiur videos, Mate and I can't wait to see you play more of Saints Row: The Third!
Ive played through the game like 2-3 times never had issues with it, it is a bit grindy i guess? youre supposed to do the activities which are repeated to get more money for upgrades and such, if you just try to book the missions it might be hard and annoying that way
thanks for finally play saints row 3 darkviperau
It's so validating seeing someone new to the series come to the same conclusions as me cuz holy shit ppl glaze the fuck out of this game and I can never understand why. 1 and 2 are 1000x better in every category and it ain't even close
Best game in the world
i love this game like a son
Best missions in this game are ones at movie studio
Ayoo new video. Thanks editors
the fact he didnt wear the hotdog annoys meeeeeee
0:45 STILWATER?!?!?!?!?!? (THOSE WHO KNOW 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀)
He should complete this game
I will replay it eventually.
@@DarkViperAULivestreamsplease do bro i love this saints row series
This is still my favorite
MY FAVORITE CHILDHOOD GAME FUCK YEEEEAAAAAHHHH
This should be good, this was my first experience with the franchise on PS3 and still a personal favourite. After this, it completely lost everything. Superpowers, aliens, fighting Satan etc went completely left
The non Canon ending is the best ending
Bro doesn’t know about “cheese”
don't mind me, just putting a timestamp so I can finish the vod later

NO ITS NOT WEATHER BIY
That is captain price right
Love this game so much yeah the story isn't as good as the first two but it's game play is better from shooting to driving and the weapons and way better only thing it was missing was more to the story
I realy want to see him play saints row 4 now
Saints row 4 is pretty good as well
i love saints row the third
I'm glad he's going to replay. The remastered version is imo much worse than the original, especially visually. I'm also gald he's going to give the game another go story wise as it's still a great game along with IV despite the tone difference between the first 2 and last 3 Saints games.
Leaked footage of GTA six😮
So this game is like gta on drugs
Uuugh, I can't stand chat. Killbane is not the main villain, Stag is, Killbane is just the final gang leader. They also kept telling Matto completely wrong crap early on.
Him trying to explain why he dosent like the game is hilarious because its the same as most games😂
It’s very different from saints row 1 or 2
Did we ever get a main channel video for this?
No, he will replay the game sometime later on, for now this is the 3 hours Matt played back in October 2023.
Yoooooo finally SR3
idk why but the og SR3 grapics are way better
37:44 batman??
How is the game confusing asf your on the first mission ofc it is😐I swear he pisses me off when he fails to use his brain
Best to worst would go 2, 1, 4, 3, Gat out of hell, the reboot
Good list, 4 is better than 3 because it fully commits to the campiness as opposed to 3 which really struggles to find it's identity, constantly mixing tones in all the wrong ways.
I liked gat better than 4 but get your opinion.
@@NICH.O0O0O0O0how lol there’s barley any content it and it’s boring and bland
I agree with this.
Nah
Saints row 3 was the most underwhelming game in the series I think. 1 an 2 are the best IMO, rest can buzz off lol
YES LAD
Why were there so many references to the number 42
i literally only came for Power by Kanye, fuck!!
FINALLY!!!
Best saints row! I hope you play sr4 next.
Hope you give Saints Row 4 a try
Has Matt played saint row 4?
BOOM
