Holy moly OP! Are you taking sleeping pills or are you THAT deep a sleeper? Glad you finally moved. Your parents are NUTS. And 26 is plenty old enough to be living on your own and no longer under the control of your parents. I wish you'd had one of those friends who came to the anniversary dinner 'for support' video tape you shaving your head! Epic!
I wish instead of shaving you hair at the party, should've shaved in and made it seem like it was from the hair dye. It really drives the point to stop messing with you....
@@nancyriggs8170as a hairdresser, I was thinking, what would have been even more nuts, is if she had dumped out all the evidence first, pulled out a picture of Tabatha Coffey, talked about the qualities that made her a reality TV icon, and then actually cut her hair like Tabatha Coffey.
Yeah I was thinking that she should've gone to the police with that video because the parents definitely did something very illegal, imo it's even abuse.
Let’s not forget how they always become a graphic designer or take up painting and become successful at it, or how they always get a promotion and end the story with empty platitudes
We can include family dynamics, for the first time or for the first time in a long time, the chosen family and the star of the story is always someone who is 20 to 30 ish age range and female like other genders or ages don't exist every single time.
26 years old, and parents *sneaking* into an adult child's room and damaging their daughter's hair that EVERYONE knew was something she valued about her appearance. Hair dye is very damaging to hair and scalp. It can make hair dry, brittle, dry and eventually dull and straw-like. She had been proud that her hair was untreated and healthy, and she was very careful about her hair care. The fact that OP actually takes the act of defiance and started dying her hair the way *she* chose, to express herself, but it sounds like she is being careful and focusing on treating her hair well They essentially raped her, doing something that invaded her privacy, and violated her physically. To be clear it isn't just that they did this to an adult, it would have been all of these things, even if she had been a child too. This kind of sneaking personal violation and would make any person shy of allowing anyone close to them for fear someone else would sneak around and do something to you physically without your permission.
As a person who take pride in her hair,I would do the same thing. My hair, for most is my life, has been apart of my identity.Without it,I would feel like some of my identity has been lost
The most important thing about this is chemicals. You do not want chemicals on your head. And you got it on your head for twenty four hours at least. Or maybe even a week. That can miss you up big time. Get into your liver to damage your liver your kidneys.! @BeBellaCreations
This video is absolutely hilarious and full of unexpected twists! The surprise element with the hair dyeing while asleep, followed by the hilarious reveal at the anniversary dinner, makes for an unforgettable and entertaining watch. A perfect blend of humor, creativity, and family fun!
Now no matter what OPs parents were 1000000% in the wrong and should never have done that without their daughters knowledge AND consent but what makes it worse is from what it sounds like they didn’t DYE her hair they BLEACHED it! My mom was a hairstylist before Covid so I know a little especially from my own experience. Unless it happens in other hair dyes but I’ve only felt that tingle/slight burn when bleaching my hair and bleaching your hair is soooooo much worse than just dying it to my understanding and it can go wrong so quickly if you don’t know what you’re doing
@ she could just be a deep sleeper. My grandma tore up (remove wall paper, carpet, etc) the bedroom that shares the wall I sleep against, didn’t wake up once. I always thought I was a semi-light sleeper since I wake up soooo fast when someone calls my name but I guess not lol. Oh I’ve also no joke almost had some drunk dumba$$ crash into my living room (luckily he hit the tree in front of my house and smashed into the cars instead or one of my bffs would legit be dead) didn’t wake up till it heard my mom walking out of her room 😅
OP could just put a bell on her door. But maybe she should also ask if they are drugging her. I don't see how they got away with dyeing her hair and not waking her up.
If She could Supposedly Sleep through Someone Dying and Washing the Dye out of Her Hair while She's Asleep...a Bell isn't going to do anything. I would also say that They were probably Drugging Her as well.
She catches them on video, exposes them to the family during a big dinner celebrating their anniversary and shavea her hair of to regain her independence. She moves out and months later parents try to slowly reconnect with her. She concludes that it was hard to move out but was happy with the new found family and independence she gained and is wary but hopeful about gaining back a relationship with her parents
I can’t believe the control your parents were trying to have over you. You did the right thing. It doesn’t matter what the relatives think or say it your hair your body so your say as to what it looks like.
If I were her, I would have said (at the dinner) “I love you, Mom and Dad, I love ALL of you, but my parents crossed the line, and I need a break, so I HAVE to do this. I’m sorry to myself, my parents, and all of you, but I have to do this.”
I don’t blame this young woman for her choice to take this drastic step at all. If my parents had done anything like this, I don’t know what I might have done in response, but I don’t doubt that it would have been something as dramatic as this because I refuse to be controlled by anyone, either regardless of the consequences to me. I’d be willing to cut off my face to spite an eyelash if the cause was just, and I don’t blame her for shaving her head at all. I’m so proud of her for doing that and in such a public fashion. Now that’s what a woman does when she’s been been betrayed by her parents in such a manner. Her parents are so lucky that she is so compassionate and willing to forgive. I am so proud of her for finding family that respects her and making the best choices for her personal and professional life.
They had the AUDACITY to say Op's hair color is unprofessional?! First of all it's HER hair, second it's like saying "I put brown contacts in your eyes while you were sleeping because your green eyes are too distracting".
That is the first story that can’t be true. Hair dye doesn’t dry out like nothing happened that also can’t be put on every day little by little so the person „doesn’t see the difference“ 😅 that was written by a man. I see one grey hair immediately or if the hair becomes greasy 😅
If this is actually a true story, you need to press charges that’s called assault and trespassing. Well, they’re busy with the police you take your opportunity to move.
I feel like you did over react a bit like you could of come to the venue bald instead of shaving in front of everyone and you didn’t need to tell everyone what your parents did if you came to the venue bald your parents would know and that’s the most important and if someone asks why your bald tell them but font yell it to everyone
Hair dye smells. Wouldn't you smell that for a day or 2, at least before it washes out. I wouldn't shave off my hair, but I might dye it a different color or show up with a different cut.
I feel like the OP took this a bit too far. I mean I wouldn't appreciate if my parents dyed my hair but I would be more calm about it and politely ask them to stop.
Over reacting, causing a scene, disrespecting your parents? You're not over reacting, you are justifiable in causinf a scene. As far as disrespecting your parents goes I don't see where there is any disrespect in this story other than your parents disrespecting you.

@@JoseRivera-te9hwhow could they actually dye her hair without waking her?
How could anyone sleep through all that. They’d have to drug most people to do that, which is illegal.
Everything about what they did to her was illegal, and she could have sued them. Who knows what else they did to her before she caught them?
Ops parents assaulted her, doing something to someone without their consent is assault

How would people not wakeup if hair is being meddled
In the unlikely event this tale is true than I guess they'd have no problem slipping her a Micky to keep her sleeping.
Easy if you take sleep meds or some meds have a sedative affects.

How can anyone possibly dye your hair without waking you? Did they give you a general anaesthetic too?
Yeah, don't you have to wash off the dye after abou half an hour? Did they wash her hair too?
WHY on God's Green Earth would the parents dye her hair while she was asleep. What in the WORLD?!
