Meek Dropped the ball with his last album imo. Championship was a great album and arguably his best album. his Audience are growing his music should’ve evolved with them, expensive pain was the perfect opportunity for that.

I feel like if he would've never started that beef, I feel like his career would have been in a much better place today. bc in the early 2010s, he was very lit and on the come up. He was mentioned in the same breath as drake, Cole,kendrick and big Sean. But he got in his own way with everything that transpired after the beef and Nicki split. instead of just working on his craft and making hits, he was busy beefing, hating, tweeting. It went down hill from there.

I been listening to Meek since his Real Me mixtape & he is my 2nd fav rapper of all time but expensive pain was the end… he fell off a CLIFF on that album. Now his flow is super weird, his delivery is terrible… it’s like I’m listening to a completely different person. He had a great mainstream run (2011-2021) but it’s over.

Musically, he has not fell off but his core fan base (which late 20's & 30+) is not really on block no more, they're on the clock at a job somewhere. Until the "young man's game" rule gets removed from the rap genre, the artist from previous decade are going to be considered old to the youth of today!
