Here is Dokken live at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California in support of Judas Priest. If you wish to listen to the Judas Priest concert then here it is: • Judas Priest - Live At... . This show was part of their 1986 Under Lock And Key Tour where as well as supporting Judas Priest they also supported The Scorpions. Really good audience recording and the band is in top form. They play some songs off the Under Lock and Key Album including Unchain The Night, In My Dreams, It's Not Love and Lightnin' Strikes Again. They also play some songs off their earlier release Tooth And Nail including Tooth And Nail, Into The Fire and Alone Again. They do an extended version of It's Not Love where the crowd sing along. Enjoy!
Unchain The Night 00:03

Saw dokken in Uk 1986 birmingham one of my favourite bands mega rocked, so good. Pilson is fab on this
Mick is the kind of drummer that makes everyone’s job easier, love him.
I was there!! I lived in Tulare. Still a huge fan of original dokken. My favourite band in the 80s. Thanks for sharing. Brings back many memories.
This kicks ass !!! Priest only gave them a half an hour, but unlike most headliners they gave their back up band a great mix. In the 6 times I've seen Priest the support acts sound fabulous. This sounds great coming off the laptop. George, Randy & Eddie... the 80's... Best!.. 2 thumbs up !!
Gotta give some credit to the musicality of Dokken as well in this performance as well, they did have a great mix but the band seem so in sync with each other. Lucky this one was recorded!
Great thing being my age
Thank you dude😊
oh man 24" loose tuned chest thumping kick drums....beautiful!!
As a fellow drummer, this comment makes me unbelievably happy. ❤
It's great hearing well mixed live Dokken for a change. This is the best yet. Thank you!
No problem!
Wow! This is incredible! Perfect mix and Dokken in their prime! Thank you!
the quality is really good for an audience recording, no problem!
my first concert was this June 1 , 1986 opening for Judas Preist in philadelphia
Saw This Tour When It Made A Stop In Austin, TX @ Our Legendary Arena The Frank Erwin Center 🤘 Totally An Awesome Experience! Keep Rockin With Dokken 🎸🤘
This is Amazing! Don & George great, Geoge using the Bradshaw rig it sounds like, , and a huge shout out to Jeff and Mick for locking it down, & Jeffs playing Back ground vocals were on fire. Thx for the upload here.
Don and Jeffs vocals work so well together, Dons vocals at the end of Lightnin strikes again are awesome too. Glad you enjoyed it!
Great , Dokken one of my favorites bands ever!!!!
Wow! Takes me back, saw this tour. Was lucky to see Dokken numerous time's in the 80's. Great post!

Thanks for posting , a great band and a great listen.
Rokken with Dokken!
Saw Dokken touring the same album later in August of 1986 as support for Loverboy. They played the old Memorial Auditorium in Greenville, SC. Loveboy was solid, but I thought Dokken was more energetic and firey that night.
3 weeks later I was seeing it live at the Nassau Colosium NY
I wished this was on Video. But this Will do! Thanks for this Nice Mix. Sounds Great on my Harmon Kardon Speakers!
No problem, make sure you turn it up loud!
I was there in San Francisco and Oakland both nights on this tour
They played with Twisted Sister in SF
@marcfoitzik5041 I remember seeing Priest in Oakland at the Coliseum in 1986. I don't remember Dokken opening for them, as I wasn't into them at the time. I'm curious, do you remember them opening for them? For my information. Thanks if you can reply.
I was at the Oakland show for Dokken/Priest! Both killed it!!
@@ellisonlowrimore7751 Thanks for the info. I only asked because I have been listening to Dokken over the last few months.
@@michaelrandle8316 fan since 81 here! 🤘🏽
That’s not Without Warning, that’s how Unchain the Night starts.

This is gonna make the rounds. I wounder if any of the guys have heard this or know about it?
UPDATE: I just finished listening to this. I only had time to listen to 2 songs at a time over a few days. I think one could see Dokken and company getting bheind this like when Dokken released the Live 1981: From Conception. The recording for that is better than both Breaking the Chains and the Tooth and Nail LPs. I always had an issue with the quality of those studio recodrings. It literally sounds like 4-track basement tapes to me that was mixed to sound like an LP. I always wanted Dokken to re-record those songs back in their prime years. Like maybe around 1996 between Dysfunctional and Shadowlife. Even the re-record of their Greatest Hits later on isn't very well recorded, but that has already been well documented.
I wonder, I bet George loves listening back to himself!
I bet if Don heard it he would DO something 🤔 idk what but it's to good of a performance that something needs to be done to make it sound even better and preserve it.
@@thomastapley1685 Don can’t do much cause of the disclaimer in the description, It is an amazing performance and I welcome anyone to remaster and post it back on TH-cam
@@harrygoff1656 IDK... It seems he always has something negative to say about Dokken and those years, but I could be wrong. He could be laying that stuff heavy with the sarcasm. I think Lynch and Dokken shouldn't work together, if I were to travel back in time to when Lynch rejoined Dokken right before Dysfunctional I would have told Don, don't do it. He's not here to make a great Dokken record. That is the vibe I got from Lynch over the years and the one time I met him.
@@thomastapley1685 I agree. I updated my original comment to ad that Don should take this and give it the Live 1981: From Conception treatment and release it. I felt this really does showcase the band in their prime and sounds way better, raw like this than what we got with BEAST FROM THE EAST. However, the RETURN TO THE EAST and LIVE FROM THE SUN are great live records from the Band.
To be totally honest, Priest should’ve been opening for Dokken - who have far and away more great songs. I never got the Priest craze, they got a good song or 2
