Very Nice to see the real versions of the ones in the Farming Simulator 2015 PC game I enjoy so much, One thing please can you confirm, why you using a tedder to turn the cut grass? in the game version I use that only to dry off the cut grass for making hay not silage? I f I do silage work I cut the grass with the big mower then use the windrower to rake up the cut grass into a nice single line and then pick it up by a big loading wagon then of to the clamp and compress it down with a heavy tractor running over it, then cover to let it ferment :) Or have I got this all wrong? Great work by you amazing farmers btw.

lakestl5000 you want silage around 33% dry matter and hay as dry as possible, so you can ted grass you want to make silage from to make it reach 33% dry matter more quickly

silage isn't made with corn, haylage is just slightly drier silage. both are just cut grass, but haylage is classed as50-70% dry matter. silage is 35-50%. dry matter

Farming simulator is different to real life turning the grass dries it out more
