  • Put together your own organic living soil at home. Use large pots or beds and grow indoor or outdoor with living soil.
    This easy living soil recipe for new growers includes the ingredients - peat, perlite, worm castings with rock dust, kelp meal, crab meal, and neem meal.
    For 7.5 gallons - this living soil recipe calls for:
    2.5 gallons of peat
    2.5 gallons of perlite
    2.5 gallons of worm castings w/ rock dust
    1 cup of kelp meal
    1 cup of crab meal
    1 cup of neem meal
    The ingredients for about 25 gallons of living soil could cost around $75 - $150 depending on where you live, and shipping costs. Support small businesses and contact any local nursery for the ingredients.
    Reuse and re-amend your soil as you go. There will be many opportunities to amend your soil and improve it in the future.
    Thank you to Autism Advocate Rick of Green Carpet Growing for sharing his living soil recipe and providing the DIY tutorial.

    Question - I’m growing in food grade 5 gallon buckets this year. Given these measurements you gave us, do you think one batch would be enough to split between two buckets? Great video, btw!

I'm growing some Pink Kush and SOME GMO Cookies and a few more, what strains are you growing this year, I also want to start making videos but so many ppl on "TH-cam Cannabis" are such phony and fake as fuck!!... Keep the videos coming friend 💨👌

    For a 5 gallon grow, most living soil recipes state should use as 1/3 then finish remaining 2/3 with compost/soil, would you recommend the same? Specifically for Growing Autoflower. Thanks in advance.

    • @suckswithpivot
      @suckswithpivot 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on soil volume and plant size relative to container. Keep a large battery of soil with enough space for your roots to consistently mine and it'll take you all the way. 5 gallon you'll veg for a month and run low on nutes

    • @greencarpetgrowing4539
      @greencarpetgrowing4539  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question. It depends on how long you stay in VEG. But definitely top dress at the beginning of bloom!
