Thank you Barbara Mandrell for keeping Country Music real ! I really enjoy this song it means something to all Country Music Fans ! Miss your singing and show and I yes I still put peanuts in my coke lol ,
I saw her perform this live on TV and George Jones came out to finish. Can't find it anywhere it was a great moment in country music in the roring 80's
@@barbaramandrell859 I noticed Riba did the same song and George came out like he did with you. I believe it was attribute to you. Do you remember that magic moment when he came out at the end of the song? I don't think you did that a lot, mostly you singing the song alone. Also there have been many of queens who have worn the Crown in country music.... But none that have warn it as gracefully as yourself. Loved the show with your sisters also.
Good evening Miss Barbara we thank your too for sharing all great performances, and your great and beautiful voice. l a'm sure that all of us going keep giving your our support. In the mid 80’s Barbara played a concert at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg VA. It was my summer high school job. I was lucky enough to get front row seats to her concert. I only bought 1 ticket because no one in my family likes country music and the same goes for my friends. I went by myself, and had a poster that said “Hey Barbara, can I sing a song with you?” It work with Ann Murray a few yrs back so what he’ll, I had to try. I held up my sign and towards the end, Barbara invited me on stage. She asked me if I could sing, and I replied yes ma’am. We sang I was country when country wasn’t cool. I sang George Jones part. I knew Barbara was short, but she’s a tiny little thing who can sings with a beautiful powerful voice.
@@virginiatrailcameravideos I never got to see Ronnie Milsap in concert, I bet that was an awesome concert. Had a 8 track of his greatest hits in my car.
Yeah I don’t know who you think you know but Dennis Morgan and Rhonda Fleming wrote that song along with MOST of Barbara’s other hits including “Sleeping Single In A Double Bed” and more and they never sued her. As a matter of fact they both attended her Opry tribute they just did last July. Afraid somebody told you a whopper.
@@MissouriOzarksMusicandVideo well being that Barbara only wrote one song in her career called “I Count You” in the 1970’s I’d say whatever you are reading is wrong. Dennis Morgan, Rhonda Fleming and Barbara are all friends and there was never a question or a lawsuit over who wrote the song.
@@johnjones6827 I'm not to mess with this controversial stuff if it says, "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool Song by Barbara Mandrell." I know the real story and it's not for publication.

You ever hear of Hank Williams? Ernest tubb? Patsy cline? Barbara herself was on a tv show in California around that time or maybe a few years later. Yes it was popular.
Yeah, and all that opening up doors to a wider audience destroyed country music! It's pretty much gone now. Certainly anything you would hear on the radio it's no longer country music! So sad!
This woman is as bright as any star in the sky... No one like her and never will be anyone like her again...
I was raised on country music. Thank you, Daddy, for bringing me up to grassroots.
Love to hear Barbara Mandrell sing
Barbara Mandrell is incredibly talented, sings with the voice of an angel and she's beautiful inside and out.
I love Barbara Mandrell music
I had the honor to meet Louise and Barbara but never had the chance to Irlene . Awesome entertainers.
I love you Barbara from Bay City ,Tx. 2023
It’s 2022 and I’m loving this! It just popped in my head and I had to watch this. ❤
I miss this Woman. She was so incredibly talented but left the lime light to raise her kids & I respect the hell out of that.
She left to raise her kids? What kinda reason is that!?? lol

It used to be on TH-cam. It might have got taken down because of copyright infringement. I’ve been looking for it also.
