Senzo Meyiwa murder trial I Judge calls for calm after scuffle breaks out in the High Court

- A scuffle broke out in the High Court in Pretoria between some of the accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial and some prison warders. This after some of the accused were asked to sit properly during the tea break.
Presiding Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng called for calm.
Meanwhile, Brigadier Bongani Gininda, the lead investigator in the 2014 killing of the soccer star has taken the stand.
After proceedings resumed after tea - State Prosecutor Adv George Baloyi had to inform the court of what transpired.

Why are prisoners pointing fingers and throwing punches at wardens? There's too much freedom of movement in the dockets. That warden could have been disarmed and the rest is history. He put himself right in the middle of accused peoples. Mnisi busy defending the impossible. How is their behaviour helping their case?

Shocking that the other guards never stood up and supported their colleague. When the video replayed there was no indication that anyone’s leg was pulled ( ha ha) so it’s back to the lies we hear from the accused. The other guards need to be disciplined for non support, no matter whether they like their colleagues or not. They are paid to do a job not to have tea breaks and sleep while court is in session. Finally you can clearly see no 3 hitting the guard in the face, no 5 is also involved in hitting the guard in the face, no 1 is holding the guards hand to stop him retaliating, so the guard had to use his shoulder to protect himself, then a woman guard steps in and the fight stops. Charges on the accused failing to obey an instruction.
