Then everyone would complain about fouls “fouls fouls fouls. Let em pull.” There’s never an answer to make everyone happy. I agree with you. But there would still be a LOT of complaints.
@TwoOneSe7en I definitely don't want EVERYTHING called, but perimeter calls need to be called when the elbow stays off IMO, everything else give them the chance to correct it
I agree also but then disagree just because the loss on fouls but then the sport should be fair and the outcome could be different maybe but i still think hunter is the favorite but i still dont care if someone loses on fouls because thats on them not the refs so does everyone want a bench press contest with people not touching the butt on the bench or a strict curl contest with someone not having the butt on the wall....!!! I feel its about testing yourself not about how much you can cheat to win but i guess people watching matters over rules and that sucks but i still have hunter winning
I’ll say this about the reffing as the promoter who hired them. A lot of factors played into this, price, payout pot, Easter weekend. Reffing in Armwrestling as a whole has a problem, I’ll say this I’ve paid thousands and I’ve paid hundreds there’s always been missed calls there’s always been b*tching, there comes a point in time where the pullers want paid at an elite scale, from a promoter who doesn’t have funding this is all out of pocket, you have to carefully assemble your staff the best you can to give these athletes the best event possible.
Amen dude. Good help that is well rested and ready for the task is a tall order. Might consider having 4 next time. 1 head ref, 1 down ref and 1 additional ref on each side sitting near the table looking at fouls off the back. Those are the fouls that are most often missed due to both refs staring down the barrel watching a pin...
Appreciate you putting your own blood, sweat, and cash into the sport, man. From one organizer to another, I feel the frustration behind hearing the endless waves of complaints that people will have. It's impossible to please everybody. But what can't be taken away are these facts: You have done a great service for the athletes, and you have done a great service for the sport. Thank you for this.
Dear Laray, from Frederic / Secr . of Belgian Federation : I was there, and I cannot complain about the refs. In so many matches, sometimes 3 starts for 1 match, the REFS did great job. Who is complaining? the guy who lost? You can use the same refs again, dont listen too much to critics. It is not easy to refs these armwrestlers, who are all the best in this 176 lbs division and try to win at all cost. Also , when there is prize money, people are not happy when REF call a fault. I can add that the REF sees the table and leans to be at correct angle. The table was on a stage, so the viewers were not at good angle to judge the faults. Coming back from EUROARM2024, the refs called many simultaneous faults, and there were maybe protests, even in the finals. In summary, you did really great job and you can congratulate your refs. Well done!!
Elbow going off, and right back on for “looser” reffing to let the guys pull is one thing, but to let them just sit 2-3” off the back of the pad and not call it, is absolutely ridiculous . Some of the worst starts, and reffing I’ve seen in awhile . Some smaller fouls called, but massive ones not? Bias maybe? Idk. Gotta clean it up.

Hunter is a beast and we definitely need to see him at the next level. I don't think he'll do very well with his style, European toprollers don't play as we all know. We'll just have to find out.
@@TwoOneSe7en its def a thankless job. And typically you only get called out for making mistakes, rather than doing a good job. Its more of a critique on position and making sure you gotta know how to spot a foul without looking directly at it. You can't let a guy be 2" off the back and let the match playout even for a second.

From what he told me… yes. Broke his arm years ago and it’s just not the same. But I’m pretty sure he said he was always left dominant? Don’t quote me on that last part.
Im a level 1 CAWF Referee. I've only reff'd Mayhem in the Mall in Edmonton one time... I could have done a better job. That was very sloppy and inconsistent. Especially the guy with the backwards hat. He was allowed to have is hook pretty much fully engaged right off the rip. I know the back of his hand was not straight.
@@TwoOneSe7en Same here I would never want to do it. I hate being the ref for practice sometimes. but these guys aren’t the most professional when it comes to big names

80% of the matches started with people with bent wrists sadly, but cool tournament!

Cody wood is a beast. Coming in like 10lbs under weight with a single month prep, and placing THIRD?? Animal!
Dudes a savage.
Truth
Head ref was competing with Angel Hernandez clearly
Cool matches, but the head ref was looking at the wrong pad the whole duration of the tournament

This has to be some of the worst reffing I have ever seen... pitty quite the line up
Elbows flying everywhere.
Man, that was exciting!!!
GOOD!
Devin’s inside came is actually way better than I thought it was! That was impressive
Devin’s been the man for a LOOOONG time.
He surprised me, too, tbh! I think he came in at his absolute strongest.
I also believe Hunter Noffz is more than ready for the big stage! Young in the sport but has tremendous talent and will be a force to reckon with!

Any updates on when we'll see a michigan state video? Your camera work is unmatched, can't wait to see it!
The reffing is pretty bad, sorry to say
Hunter was a beast at 154 now he put more weight and muscle. He is definitely ready for the world stage.
we need hunter knoffs vs Cody would 3/5

😂
The number of times they called a pin while the winner's elbow was off the back of the pad is crazy.
Thanks again Brad for making my day 😁💪🏽
My pleasure!!

All of these young guys should take a few things from Devin Bair. He’s the most seasoned armwrestler in this bunch and it shows.

How come bishop didn’t pull RH?
