He wanted everyone to tailor to his needs and emotions and not focus on keeping him accountable for his actions. I married a man like this when I was young. It was a nightmare. Even the counselor began to tailor to his needs. I am so glad that this counselor called Darrell on his BS - "why are you here?" The fact he said he didn't know said it all.
