When Erica gets all huffy on the phone it cracks me up. Every. Single. Time.
Omg! Lizzy with her underwear white flag! The way is was acting… way too funny! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Jim Fletcher is like the milk tray man there lol
No way Bea can recover from a kidney transplant that fast. She'd be in ICU and a steril enviornment,IV's, heart monitor, maybe still semi conscious, mega doses of anti rejection medication for life. She had extensive internal surgical work and a very large incision. I'v had 4 major surgeries and you feel like you've been thrown up against a brick wall, besides the pain.
The magic of tv
Exactly
But, Bea Smith is no ordinary human.
LIZZY IS SO CRAZY,WITH HER WHITE FLAG,SAYING IT'S ME LIZZY.DON'T SHOOT I COME IN PEACE.LOL.I LOVE IT
Lol Erica's "riot hair" it's her crisis hair!! Damn it, bet that beehive takes hours to get into place.
Davo with hair down is so flattering. The up do ages her so much.
Leave it to Lizzie to bring comedy to a riot - loved her white flag and the story that went with it !
And Davo going, "Ohhkay, Lizziiie." *:''D*
Love Queen Erica's elegant sand-coloured coat. So classic.
The best! I shant deny!🤣🙌🏻
@@christinerunyon037 why so funny😂? I wear a beige trench coat when the weather requires. It’s a wardrobe basic
Humphrey Bogart's sister
She is such a classy lady.
It looks like it’s still winter in Melbourne
"You'll find out what hard means, and that's a promise" - Fletch the Lech (1981)
“Who do you think I am? The Queen of Sheba?” Lol. My parents used to say that all the time only it was “who do you think you are…” if I said that to anyone today they would have no idea what I was talking about.
They probably would have thought you were talking about the cat food. Lol
I'm surprised there wasn't a spin off show featuring Jim Fletcher as a rugged action hero and Ted Douglas as his mentor.
Like Magnum. The TV show. Fletcher has the tash. :)
brilliant episode, fantastic quality picture. thankyou for uploading these
that scene with steve in the cell, must of been a ratings booster
WOO HOO! HUBBA HUBBA AWOOO!👍🥰🤩
@@sheriheffner2098
🤣😂🤣😂
I so wanted to be Steve, the lucky guy! If this fate ‘befell’ me, I too would be thinking:
WOO HOO! HUBBA HUBBA, AWOO! 👍🥰🤩
Right!!!😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Haha yum yum😂❤
You can only tell they were never trained with the firearms!!! Meg had me rolling!
Anyone see that Marie was eating Arnott’s Marie biscuits in the Governor’s office? Nice touch.
Somebody throw Powell off the roof...
To native moon yes but let's hope there's not much damage.... to the ground !. Ha ha from Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.
Jim "James Bond" Fletcher.
Haaaaa! There's only one Lizzy. I wish I could have traveled to Australia to have met her. I bet she was a beautiful Lady. So kind and thoughtful. Probably helping souls on the other side👼 God bless you Lizzy.
OMG yes Lizzy is my favorite :)
I met Val Lehman once at an meet and greet back in the 80's. she was a very nice lady.
Her bloods worth bottling 💙💙💙
I wonder if all the cast went to her funeral.I hope they did or some of them

33:14 Lizzie: ". . . I had the wind up, coming across through all them bright lights."
Hardly surprising if she's not wearing her bloomers.
41:40 - incidental music by Jean Michel Jarre
45:46 - incidental music from the 1970s DFS sofa commercial 😆
Spot on!
Jim is such an action man.
Lizzie waving her britches lol!!!!
''Listen Edwards, if you touch one of the officers you'll find out what hard means'' - Jim Fletcher.
Well, he has done the odd one or two.
It was a miracle that Janet manage to evade capture for as long as she did. If they had made more effort to find her sooner then they would have had more bargaining power before it was too late. Its was somewhat inevitable the prisoners control over the place would be overcome sooner rather than later, so Sandy needed to be more proactive at getting things moving forward much quicker.
Lizzie's white flag story. LOL.
Fitting that Officer Barry is nowhere to be seen during this siege... "I don't know what to doooooooo!!" LOL
32:46 - 🙂Lizzy & her little white flag Lmao 😂😂😂😂😂 Bless her🙂😉
Really enjoyed re watching Sandy Edwards riot just now. Louise Le Nay did a great job as did Maggie Millar. I met Maggie a few years ago when she visited England, what a nice genuine lady she is, totally different from her character 'Marie'!
I heard she's a talented artist too.
That's nice to know. It seems nice people often play despicable ones quite well and there are few people as despicable as Marie Winter,
Good comedy from Lizzie Birdsworth.
Would have been nice for them to invest in a little better lighting for the dark parts of the prison. Hard to see anything!!!
There is always "Brightening Up the Block" also on TH-cam. I go between the two providers for moments like this.
Like more light on Steve being stripped and pantwalked?
🤣
This bad lighting is pretty much the case during this entire series to date... haha
Thanks for being enigmatic in that comment…..but being completely clear in your suggestion!😂
And all because the lady loves fletchers milk tray . Ha ha . From Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.
''Don't shoot. It's me, Lizzie. I come in peace. I'm waving my white knickers to prove it' LOL
Steve in pants. HOT. I'm just going to rewind !!
simon smelling Why so hateful?
With a voice like hers it's a surprise Erica felt the need to clarify who she was ahaha
32:43 😂😂😂 “DONT SHOOT! ITS ME, LIZZIE ! I COME IN PEACE !!”
Powell: and how are you going to get onto the roof?
Fletch: 🦹🏻♂️
Two of my favourite characters plotting...Margo and Marie.
Sandy channeling her inner Dusty Rhodes by talking about "hard times" :)
2:15 Steve in bikini undies waa who! I thought Douglas was taking over. No bargaining but take the prison back by force. Then suddenly Douglas is out of the picture and Davo is back in command. Did I miss something? 44:40 love Fletch's 90 pound portable walkie talkie. Have to just love the '80's!
That looks like a Realistic brand AKA Radio Shack Walkie Talkie. I think it would work better with the telescopic whip antenna extended. That was an old 27 Mhz CB radio by the way.
Funny thing is that I had a walkie talkie in the 70s and it was about half the size of that monstrosity.
Obviously trying to save money by using big walkie-talkies.
All the high tech equipment looks so quaint now, but it worked at the time and led to what we have now. Funny thing is that when Bea went to the handbag, I thought she was looking for a mobile!
🙂Who needs🤗 : Super man, Super Mario, Action Man, Tom Cruise & Batman... when we have got Jim 😂😂😂😂. The size of that Wilkie talkie its huge 😂😂😂😂
the intense nintendo music kills me!!!!!!!!!!!
@@mazzanoblue8606 especially in the scene at the end, total overkill lol
Erica and a Megaphone = Camptastic!! ;-)
Blimey I'm surprised fletch could carry that walkie talkie!
Fletch certainly had a big one, walkie talkie I mean !!
I like the Exorcist-like theme toward the end.
lol when the grappling hook was shot up onto the roof I was expecting to see Fletch walking up the side of the prison like they used to do in the old batman tv show.
simon ginsberg if you have to explain the joke then it didn't land
Mrs. Powell is another Vera but 5 times worse. They need to bring Bee, Lizzy, Doreen and Jude back to the show.
For a long-term character on Prisoner, why does Chrissie Latham have so many long absences? We seem to see Gaffney more than her. Wonder what Amanda Muggleton's contract with Grundy was like. Was she on another Grundy show at the time or something? I find her a lot more interesting than Doreen or Meg.
Most of the actors came from theatrical backgrounds. I believe they didn't have solid contracts and if offered a stage show they were written out for a while.
Amanda Muggleton did the theatre circuit a lot and did Prisoner around that. From what I’ve read, she enjoyed the freedom of coming and going. Later in 1982, without giving too much away, you see Chrissie lose weight fast and then go off to Barnhurst…. Muggleton was off to the theatre of course
I hope that's not Lizzie's only pair of bloomers tied to the pole there.
29:10 Love this scene, one of my favorite of the whole series, even though Sheila fluffs most of her lines!
Some great props in this episode: Fletch's grappling hook, Lizzie's flag.....
Ah, bliss the days before mobile phones
The writers should had made Sandy Lizzies daughter, they look alike :D
Fletch thinks he's bloody batman
Erica Davidson megaphone (part 2)
"You women in there, I'm finding your actions rather foolish, what on earth do you think you will achieve with such stupidity? It's windy and my hair is all over the place and my chief prison officer Mrs Powell's hair clips have been blown away! Apart from the elcohol and toilet in each cell I am willing to redesign the dining room to include a Royal doulton tea and cutlery set and your choice of twinings rather than the standard Lipton black tea bags, however, I will need your full cooperation, put down your weapons, give Mr Faulkner back his uniform and clear the corridors. Very well!
Thank yo.
Well said. Erica.
@@stephenpovey-jones6520 thank yo.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂just brilliant ❤
Lol so funny😊
So if the door on the roof was locked from the outside then how was it locked originally
Yes - I was wondering exactly the same thing. Somebody would have to scale the wall of the building every time they wanted to open the door!
I remember when they had a protest on the roof and that stupid Leanne Burke fell off, they climbed a ladder on the inside and unlocked it with someone's keys.
Continuity was never Prisoner's strong point let's face it 😂
Too many writers
Fletch to the rescue. Although, not quite the stuff of James Bond. Couldn't help howling at Lizzie. I wonder whether those white knickerbockers she was flailing were her own or were they simply stripped from Steve Faulkner during those ravenous prisoners giving him a good shakedown!?
We are all entitled to dream, so yes.....they did overpower him and strip off his last vestige of dignity.....to add insult to injury.
😈🤣
Easy for Colleen to lecture Meg. Meg. only lost her husband. What has Colleen lost? What angers me: is there are so many Colleen like people in these positions.
Best episode for obvious reasons ;)
This riot episode/scene is getting tedious and it's too drawn out. I'm starting to crawl the walls. I can't even stand to look at Po face fk she is so awful. She instigates trouble with the inmates then stands behind the law and she's not a very nice co worker. She needs a punch in the face! I can't wait for Bea, Judy and Doreen to return!
@ 32:45 “Don’t shoot! It’s me Lizzie. I come in peace.” LOL.
How can the trap door on the roof be locked from the outside? Is there another way down for the person that locked it?
Love the way marie says kitchen
Colleen is a right cow
Daniel Craig has nothing on Jim fletcher
Jim fletcher my hero❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jim is gonna shoot a grappling hook and climb up the wall. 😄😄😄
And get in his batmobile!??
It's a pity that Gaffney wasn't allowed a couple of minutes alone with powell. She'd have given powell an even worser face . From Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.
She'd probably lose. Margo loses mostly every fight.
7:03 "Count Duckula" on the hospital telly?
(yes I realise the dates don't tally, I just recognised the music)
Omg count Duckula I remember 😊
Great movie-esque episode! 80s synth music was the icing on the cake.
Fine. If nobody is going to say it, I will.
That guard is in a pretty good shape 😉👌
I really like Jane Clifton, but it looks like Margo cut her own hair in the dark.
The police would not re-arrest Lizzie, because she was already in custody. They would have notified her of the charges against her and started court proceedings.
They used to do gate arrest here I think it's stopped now but during this time we definitely had gate arrest
Jim Fletcher is badass ex Army. I like the screws who can walk the walk when a riot and siege like this happens. Not like Mrs. Morris LMAO
Gone are the days where men can wander around in their skimpy underpants. This has been the best riot....but has tampered out to nothing. What was the point of this? Maybe Sandy went along with it to keep Marie happy. Not impressed by Davo in this....they should have gone in earlier
Would have thought they'd have clip on ties for obvious reasons
I HATE THE WAY MARGOT HOLDS HER CIGARETTES, ugh
14:30 missed opportunity right there. Boris Karloff? surely "Doris Karloff" was the ideal reposte?
Colleen is such a bitch "Yes, well I can HANDLE myself in an emergency situation." Implying Meg can't.
Fletch is supposed to be retired military. He should know how to deal with this.
The size of that walkie talkie 😂😂😂
Go fletch a new breed of Aussie hero better than Crocodile dundee and mad max combined
Yes! And Mr Milk Tray too.
Lol haha
OMG. Falkner in tighty whities! This is groundbreaking for the late 80's era. Especially in the last episode when they all gang up on him and tear off his clothes. wow.
I meant late 70's early 80's era. TH-cam won't let me "edit".
Tanya
Tanya, it was, but I am amazed something like this did not happen sooner to a male screw in a womens’ prison. I have always envied Steve when they all gang up on him and tear off his clothes, adding insult to injury as they parade him in his tiny white panties, lucky guy.
Wow indeed!!!!
Actually, you saw more (both men and women) in an Aussie soap called No. 96 in the 70's.
@@karennicholls2296
I have heard of this show. Was pretty gritty. Have to check it out.
Those were not tighty whities.
LOL at the gas attack. These women didn't figure this out. I thought riots were something they've done in the past.
Lizzie makes me laugh so much but when she was telling about her husband using the white flag often and they say what happened to him and she says he got shot is the funniest thing she has said
At 35 minutes in,there at the window bars, where's the glass?
@chris vann. Shhh! Grundy cant go to all that expense
Jim action screw lol
0:55
What heating??? Australia dont have central heating😂
Omg this is hilarious
hot damn Steve in his budgie smuggler....they should have left him that way.
They should have. He wasn't protesting much.
What a hot bod
Wonder they removed his clothes
rotfl at Lizzie waving a pair of drawers as an international symbol of peace!
The correction officers should carry the two way radios. They could be used for communication and a weapon, if needed. The size of them. Wow!
Marie Winter is a really good looking woman and her accent is great
they cut the power then you see jimbo going into the roof with the fans humming away!
flech has turned into the milk tray man
Fletcher trying to replace daniel Craig. Ha ha . From Michael from Yorkshire and proud of it.
A good businessman always keeps his options open.'' Oh YES, Kate is really coming into her own now. Not my very favourite character but she is up there as one of my faves. Olivia Hamnett does a stellar performance playing the psycho Doctor. Love it. As for 2:16, makes me want to me in solitary with him 👅🐽 Btw, this is my second outing of watching from 001-692, and it is this time that I realise that Colleen is actually a sadist, frequently smiling at others misfortune and distress. Judith McGrath plays the part really well.
3rd February 2025.
So do their cell windows actually have any glass or is it literally bars as seen in this episode?? Can't imagine that being warm at all at night!
I think they had something other than just bars, however not glass. That could be used as a weapon.
... ooh, Fletch. You're such an action man, I can't control myself :-P
... glad Mari's back. Can't wait until she's top dog and has a showdown with Bea!!!
Im a little confused how can the roof hatch be locked from the outside? Do the officers get dropped of by helicopter to lock it then parachute down?
Powell is getting on my nerves
Well, Colleen if we add up the years Meg has more seniority than you do. You may hold the Chief Ofc position but she has more years. But, at the end of the day you're the right choice to go in. If dumb Meg went in there she'd be helping the prisoners make Molotov cocktails and list of demands.
