Morcote - a Ticino jewel on Lake Lugano

In my opinion, Morcote is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland, especially in good weather. With its characteristic little alleyways, the arcades of old patrician houses, valuable architectural monuments and views of the lake, Morcote is known as "the pearl of the Ceresio". Of particular interest is the church of Santa Maria del Sasso above the shore and the terraced cemetery.
