Is this the western version of Batman and Robin? They really are good stuntmen. I wasn't allowed to watch TV on Saturday afternoon. So I am really enjoying seeing these black and white westerns at night now when I can't sleep. Thanks to all those who have enabled these shows to to viewed.❤😊

Allen Woodall I agree! The only problem is children are nothing like they were back then. You would have to catch them right out of the womb and train them up yourself because the parents are as much different as the children. Too much time gone by without interest. Morals and values have changed with the trash that has been shown for the last 40 years. Sad!

Oh the memories of 60 years ago, remember going to watch this at my grandma's house, sher had a 9" Pye TV which had a brilliant picture !.I think my earliest TV memory, funny how the dialogue at the beginning is still fresh in the mind,' and Dick West, all American Boy ', thanks a lot for the upload.

Sad to say, for those who were not aware, that Dickie Jones passed away on July 7,2014. Besides many other roles, he was the Range Rider's partner, and afterward, played Buffalo Bill, Jr His most famous role was as the voice of Pinocchio, in the Disney movie. Happy Trails, Dickie.

I preferred this to The Lone Ranger back in the 50s.

If I had to be stuck watching one for a hundred years, it would be range rider, but the lone ranger is fantastic too. So are Yancy deringer and the wild wild west.

The lone ranger's popularity seemed to have outlast the Range Rider. Still I think that Range Rider will always be the favorite of some of us. Dick portraying innocence, being good it doesn't come to him how the bad guys think the way it does to a more experienced Range Rider who is more weary of traps that the bad guys set. Range Rider shows patience with the younger man, an admirable trait. One might even wonder if West shouldn't have a spin off series when he is more experienced. Who knows maybe West could inspire a 007 type of western hero? Just a thought, heh heh.

Fun fact: The producers had Dick Jones make his voice sound younger because the similarities in height between him and Jock Mahoney made them look too close in age

Dick was portraying 😇 innocence. He wouldn't expect bad because he was good and being young had yet to gain the wisdom of his partner whose experience had taught him how the bad guys think. The range Rider was more weary of traps and such. 🤠 🐎

Mahoney doesn't jump, he is flying. Like if a jungle cat had wings and kangaroo legs. Not that dick isn't awesome too. Sorry but yes, you were destined to hear me fangirling, everyone. 🤗

"Inside and lay down" what is wrong with this quotation ( when sheriff is placed in jail scene) grammatically speaking?
    from norman Clemens

"(Get) inside and lay down" would be better. (Sheriff) or (You) is understood; since there is no questions about who he was addressing the nouns are not necessary. If he were speaking to the Sheriff about a third person the noun would be absolutely indispensable. Clipping off the verb (get) indicates that he doesn't have time to mess around and the Sheriff is to move quickly. Clipped language here is both practical in a real situation and being realistic in the writing of the script is a great literary device to make the viewer feel like they are there. Spoken language is less formal down written, and writing what a person says can therefore also be less formal. Of course without the verb (lay) it would sound like cruel intent (in, down) besides making little sense.
