Our aluminum decking can be installed in two ways: parallel to the house and perpendicular to the house.
We are covering the "Perpendicular to House" installation in this video.
1- Read "Deck Boards Parallel to House" as a prerequisite to perpendicular installation.
2- Both aluminum decking installation instructions are available at craft-bilt.com....
3- Where maximum drainage is desired, deck boards should be run perpendicular to the house.
4- Make sure the deck slopes away from the house 1/8" per foot minimum.
5- Proper flashing, sealing of posts, and nosing are the responsibility of the customer.
