      What you find that unusual??? EVERY, not certain ones, but EVERY black stand-up comedian has a racist bit to there routine. Not only that, but in general terms racism or acts of racism committed by black folks are considered acceptable. And that doesn't have to do with stand up comedy. As I pointed out in general terms; in other words can all aspects of life that is generally is the case

      I think white americans will never understand, because they've never experienced true, pure, unaldulturated, in your face racism. So back in the day when clubs were white only, there were "black only" clubs where people of all walks of life could come and here jokes about real life, and be able to aleviate a fraction the stresses of just walking down the street and at any moment you could get lynched.

    When a white celebrity (Paula Deen, Phil Robertson) says something bigoted, they defend them, citing "free speech".
    When black comedian insults the racist attitudes of whites, it's "racism".
    Get a fucking grip y'all. It's hypocritical that you complain about black people getting butthurt about racism, but y'all get butthurt over stuff like this.

    • @justinuthe439
      @justinuthe439 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      calfor1991 That's very inaccurrate and is extremely backwards. The only people that listen to people like her are certain media sources and the people that are so ignorant, unintelligent, or uneducated enough to believe those media outlets. Unfortunately there are people dumb enough to believe those media outlets but it's definitely not the majority. Knowledge and awareness leads to enlightenment. Unfortunately it seems like the much of the US population has no desire for learning.
      I believe racism still exists, but throwing out ridiculous generalizations does not do anything but slow the process of eliminating racism.

    • @calfor1991
      @calfor1991 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How is pointing out a double standard in racism slows it down? When a black person points out racism (actual or perceived), he/she gets accused of racism because he/she brought it back up? Do you call a fireman an arsonist for spotting out fires? The problem is that people have general problem with black peoples speaking their mind on what's going on because they don't know what it's like to be black. However if a white person says something racist, he/she is free of all accusations of bringing up racism? What you say has little relevance to my topic.

    • @calfor1991
      @calfor1991 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That does absolutely nothing. Racism is systematic in nature, not individual. If there was a serial killer around the streets and you stop mentioning his killings, will that make him stop killing others.

    • @justinuthe439
      @justinuthe439 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a stupid comparison and completely irrelevant. You literally made a comparison to murder.
      How about comparing it to some like fame or popularity? If the general public stops talking about someone who is famous are they still famous? The answer is no.

    • @calfor1991
      @calfor1991 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      You missed the point of my statement. Racism can't be stopped by not talking about it. Ignorance cannot kill racism, solidarity does. That statement doesn't make any sense at all. That famous person can find someway to still be famous without big talk about him or her. None of y'all don't understand racism because y'all either blind to it or never experienced it.

      Yeah I understand, but you also have to understand, that when white people see black people not accepting whites, it only helps perpetuate the racist cycle.

      Are you serious? Is racism to you a phase of human existence? If a black person discriminates against whites like refusing to hire caucasians doesn't that make him a racist? I know how white people have treated blacks in history. But THAT isn't the only form of racism, if at all...

      ***** Historical oppression does not mean you have a right to be "angry or fed up" with the people who have not committed the oppression, nor do they benefit from it. I don't get why people who are not you having suffered in the past should allow you special privileges such as an "excuse to be racist". Do you have any idea what an indentured servant is? Do you know about the plight of the Irish?
      Yes, I scoff at people "like you" as you put it. Because, yes, I do take the time to "read history" and understand it's impact on a particular culture. Guess where I am as a white male in 2016? Am I a CEO or Executive? No. Am I going to college? No. Is my family rich? No. Does just about my entire family depend on welfare to survive? Yes. Have I ever been searched by the police while innocent? Yes. Better yet have I ever been pulled from my classroom in front of all the other students and frisked, made to take off my shoes, open my locker, confiscate my bag, and have me in holding for hours, only to find me innocent? Yes. Was I born to a single mother, on welfare? Yes. Did I have contact with my father? No. Are either of my parents felons? Both. Such effect history has had on my current condition! Such privilege I was born with.
      You're living in a bubble to equate historical success of a race to modern day benefits. I understand where you are coming from too a degree, but to bundle all whites into this "bubble" of yours, makes me sick. It's a very small percentage of whites who benefit from historical oppression, and definitely not anyone from my general area of welfare moms, rednecks, and heroin junkies.

      +Micmastaz I agree with you even tho I'm black and its true we as this generation are not the Victims of Slavery and its better to let go the past and focus on what's happening today and there are all kinds of problems happening in the world right now and racism is in the category ,we must keep in our mind that the act of an individual doesn't represent that particular person's race,country or religion.there are bad and good people everywhere and there is no such thing Black people or White people we are all human beings and we need to accept each other and I know what happened in the past is catastrophe but we can't change that.it's up to us now to either let go the past and try to unite or stay in the mess and hate one another forever.....it's almost 2017 and with all the advance the world has made, can;t believe we as humans didn't made much, I guess we are just bench of jealous people thinking one is superior than the other and that's just sad.....sorry for my English tho It's not my first language

    Comedy has no limits, everybody needs to chill out. I don't know why people complain about the topic of "racism". All comedians play out any controversial subject there is. So Keyword is COMEDY. Laugh about it. Laughing is the best cure for stress. Who cares what he does. If you don't like his performance, then don't watch it.

    Martin was so hilarious. The premise of this joke has had me in tears for years because can you imagine a posse getting together to go to the store to get some toothpaste. I know the point of the joke is white people changing up when there’s a group but this shit was so funny. 🤣🤣🤣

    I dont see one thing he said wrong. Everything he said was pretty much facts. I appreciate comedians like Martin & Chris rock for doing what they do. They're like rappers,they talk about whats going on in america and it pisses people off. If you were treated like a black person,you would talk about it too if you were a comedian or make rap albums about it if you were a rapper. They dont do it to complain,they do it cuz they want equality & they're trying to make a difference.

    Africa wasn't colonised during the slave trade by the europeans. it was after the Berlin Conference in 1881 that it was extensively colonised. The irony of the slave trade that most people don't realise, is that it was the largest native african tribes that sold most of the population over hundreds of years to european traders for gold. This weakened their societies so they never developed and were taken over by the euros eventualy.
