Any updates on how it’s running? I have a 2002 alpha one 3L carb that is giving me problems starting and stutters when i go to accelerate. I’ve had it cleaned and it ran ok for a season and now back to having trouble starting and it idles rough too. I was wondering if this company was the way to go? How’s the carb running now?
Anyway to do a video on how you adjusted it to fine tune it after installing it? I’m going to order one this wknd i think and will install it when it comes in.
You have to rebuild the carb. Main jet is clogged. Most likely caused by the stone filter in the fuel pump. Change the fuel pump too. If you are not mechanical then I would pay someone. Lots of intuitive knowledge required to complete the job.
I never had a problem with Sparks. I disconnect the battery when I work on the electrical system. I don't think it would be a problem changing the curb but the battery connected. But it is good practice to disconnect the battery before doing anything
@@Netzr Yep! Absolutely! I was working on the fuel pump as well! If your boat it the garage of your house it could be a bad day in one second! Don't want to have to explain the house burning up to the wife!!🤣🤣😂
Yes it runs a lot better. About mid summer I just barely got it off the lake because the cab was so bad. Late fall I found a carburetor. It ran beautiful on land. Before I head to winterize it. This spring I'm going to put the boat back in the water to give it a good run to see how it is.
National Carburetor out of Jacksonville, FL sells new carbs for this engine for $271 plus shipping which for me was like $20

It runs great with new carburetor on it. I just had to do a little adjustment to it.
And I did notice a big difference in its running after I bought the carburetor.

I will at some point I'm getting ready to move. To Florida. That's the reason I haven't made any videos yet. Things been really busy.
Once installed and running did you have to tune the carb?

Do you know why I don’t get any gasoline in to my carb ? I already change the fuel pump and still don’t get any gasoline?

Did you have accelerator pump issues with the old one?
No it was ok. Cab was plug up. And I couldn't get cleaned out.
No the carburetor was plugged. I've cleaned it out and it still wouldn't run right

Having problems with mine not planing
What was it doing ?
It wasn't run right at idle. And couldn't adjust the mixture screws they wouldn't do anything even after cleaning it.
