Thank you for another great video. Suggest replacing that fuel pump with the inner diaphragm being that old it won't last long. Been there done that. Lol !!!

@@rinloeurn9022 Thanks for watching, we appreciate that. Honestly, we would start with plugs and wires as well as destructor cap and properly setting points. Maybe even replacing fuel filter. If you are still having issues…carb is almost 100% likely the cause of your engine bogging.
Thanks for watching, great question. In this video at the (6:50 mark), we talk about this sight- fuel line. It allows you to see if fuel is inside line. If fuel makes its way inside line, it’s usually an indication that your fuel pump diaphragm has ruptured and will need to be replaced.
G'day from downunder. I absolutely love your series on the belows replacement for the alpha 1. I don't suppose you have a video that shows how to adjust the carburetter (mixture/idle)? Regards John Simmons
Thank you, we are truly honored you enjoyed our Bellows series. We don’t have a video showing a carb/mixture idle on the 3.0l at the moment unfortunately.
i just boat a boat with this motor in it. the butterfly is NOT connected to the throttle cable linkage and i'm trying to figure out what i'm missing. If there is anyway i can get in contact with you that'd be great!!!

Great video, I got a question wondering if you could give your opinion. Went to fire up the motor for the first time at the lake, it has already been drained of all the antifreeze in the water lines when the mechanic put the hose to it. The motor had a rough idle, slight increase in throttle eliminated any sputter. As the throttle increased more the motor begins to sputter and die. Any info carb or some blockage?
@@tuned2k Thanks for watching, any update? First thought would be contaminated fuel, or a clogged and contaminated carburetor however in your case…neither of those should apply at this point. Have you replace spark plugs and wires within the last 2-3 years? It’s also possible that if your distributor cap was replaced, your point gap may be off a bit. We will post a few video links below including replacing spark plugs and wires as well as replacing your distributor cap, points, and setting gap. You may also have a weak ignition coil, and by replacing a few of these parts, the efficiency and effectiveness of your ignition system will be second to none.
